Birthday card

Aloha~

This is the card for "my twin" in our coffee card swap group.

I used red and green (both subtle) colors as main but since it's birthday, I used a little more colors on the stencils from Pretty Pink Posh, my Black Friday addition 😊The main coffee cup is from Lil' inker design which is pretty old but I just love the set! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn but cut it in half so that I could place them where I wanted to, with a little puffy heart sticker from Altenew, placing it in the middle of the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Two days left in 2025... Please stay safe if you are in the areas with tons of snow. I watched it on the evening news today. Love, Eve

Coffee card for December swap

Happy Boxing day (in Australia) ! Happy "Second" Christmas day ~ zweiter Weihnachtsfeiertag (in Germany) !

This card will be the last Coffee card for this year.

I'd been wanting to use these beautiful papers from Simple Stories for a year. Yes I bought it last Christmas, waiting for the perfect timing to use them! But because of the beautiful designs, I didn't have to do more on them. It even comes with the sentiment on some designs. I just used the 3D adhesives underneath of the main panel, and attached the pretty silver ribbon.

The card turned out to be pretty in my opinion, thanks to those beautiful papers but wanted to do a little more, so I did, inside of the card. I forgot to take the picture before writing the message on it to the recipient, so I had to hide it to take the picture. But after taking the picture, I liked the idea of placing that beautiful paper which I used on the front this way, and attached the post it note with the message... afterthought. ...
I used this snow man stamp I love, from Echo park. It's my new addition! And, I happened to have a very small coffee cup from the sticker sheet from Japan, so I attached it! I colored the holly berries on his hat and draw a little heart on him.

Hope you all had a joyous Christmas, with friends and families.

Here is the picture of my attire today. 😉 He is very tired and deserve this! 😁

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today. There is only a week left for welcoming the year of 2026! Are you ready?? Love, Eve

Christmas card #6

Aloha~

Well, well. This is one of the most "labor intensive" card I have ever made, mainly because of all those tiny pieces to adhere first, then, put all buildings, trees, lamp posts in the right places on 3D background! It took a long time to finish it. I made this card for my godmother.

I used Honey Bee stamps die set, Concord & 9th for the 3D card base, Simon Says stamps for the sentiment and again, Concord & 9th for the star. I always loved the sentiment with "PEACE" in it. I even bought a t-shirt with PEACE in front at Old Navy yesterday. 😊

The back of this 3D card, I stamped Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year in Hawaiian, on the die cut out and attached them. It's a red rubber wood stamp from the local company (Stampettes of Hawaii).

I'm hearing that the temperature bounced back to normal this time of the year, from extremely cold most of the places across US. We had a wet & gloomy weather for like 10 days?and everyone was complaining! But the sun is shining today!! 🌞Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Merry Christmas! 🎄Love, Eve

Christmas card #5 2025

 Aloha~

This is my 5th Christmas card.

I used the same Tim Holtz die set with my card #4, but with different elements and design. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a busy but great weekend! Oh, in those places with lots of snow, please drive safe! Love, Eve

Christmas card #4 2025

Aloha~

This is the forth Christmas card I have made.

I used Waffle Flowers' background panel die, placed over the glitter paper so those shines peek through. I used TH's dies to make a scene. The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.

I finished Christmas shopping today. Nearby mall was crowded! Now, time to wrap them and mail out!  Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Happy holidays! Love, Eve

Christmas Card #3, 2025

Happy Aloha Friday! 🌴

Are you ready for the Christmas shopping, or Christmas cards making? 😄

This is the third Christmas card I made this year.

I heat embossed with the sparkling white embossing powder to make a background, using Taylored Expressions background stamp. It's very hard to see in the photo but it looks that the surfaces of the stamped images are not smooth because of those tiny glitters inside of the white embossing powder. You can see the sparkling in person, though. I used Lawn Fawn's sparkle card stock, which I love, for underneath of the red stamped card stock and underneath of the sentiment. Both sentiments are from CZ Designs/SSS.

I saw on the news that it's snowing a lot, and it's really cold, in east coast. Drive carefully and stay safe! If you can, maybe it's better to stay home and make cards! 😃Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend! Love, Eve

Christmas card #1 & #2 2025

🎜It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas🎝

Happy Holidays!🎄

So, I bought this cute stamp set from Gina K design, a year ago but never had used it. All the sudden, I got the urge to use these stamps with Waffle flowers postage frame die, so I did. Aren't they so sweet? They are such a perfect size for these postage frame dies.

The sentiment on both cards is from CZ Design/Simon Days Stamps.

Well, December is here... the busiest time of the year. Every year, I regret that I didn't start making the Christmas cards from January. lol...😅

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I saw on the news that some of you had tons of snow, and some are expecting it tomorrow. ❆❆❆ Drive & stay safe! Love, Eve

Coffee card for November 2025

Aloha~

This is the card I made for Coffee card swap group, for November. I already mailed it a week ago. Finally I found the time to upload it on my blog. Hope the recipient will get it soon.

I love the season and PSL! These stamped and colored images are from NND. Love these little images! The sentiment is also from NND. I made this background, using the new stencil of "falling leaves" from Lawn Fawn. I used 3 colors.

Hope you found some great deals from Black Friday to Cyber Monday if you live in US.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Officially, Happy Holidays! Love, Eve

Coffee card for October swap

Aloha~

Well, time passed so fast, and I was off island, too... I made this card early in October and sent it out but never posted it, so here it is. 😅 I'm trying to catch up, blogging... I enjoyed making this card, using my new additions! The background is TH's stencils. I love this stencil set. I found the vellum to attach the colored stamped images from NND. The witch and the kitty are from Mama Elephant. I just love this stamp set! Super Cute!

The sentiment inside is also from NND. The Washi tape I used on the bottom is from LF.

Hope y'all had a fun Halloween!... I know, it's a month late. lol 😄But I feel like I wanna continue making Halloween cards! I come up with the different ideas for Halloween and not enough time to make them into cards, esp. when I was off island...

Happy Halloween!

Aloha~

This is the card for my BFF.

I used the Paper Rose paper for the background. I customized a little~Those cute 3 kitties in ghost in disguise are 2 of the recipient's kitties (American shorthair rescue) and their friend, a black stray cat! Those dies and the sentiment dies are from Poppy stamps. Little jack o'lantern and bats are from SSS. I added Mama Elephant witch with MY orange kitty on the bloom, colored in Copics.

This is inside. Everything is from SSS.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are enjoying a long weekend! Love, Eve

Happy Birthday! 2 cards!

Aloha~

These are for two card making friends from "coffee card swap group", whose birthdays are in October. One, who likes to decorate for Halloween, and another one whom I'm not sure of. Halloween is something I'd like to be careful about. Some don't care for Halloween, so, I made a card with some Halloween flair, and another one without it.

I used the postage collage stamp background die from Waffle Flower. I used stamps from Waffle Flower and Newton's Nook Designs.

For this one, I used Trinity stamp's stamp and made "Espresso Martini". I just had this drink a couple of days ago, with my BFF from Virginia. If you have ever had Espresso martini, you know how it is served~ a couple of coffee beans on the foam. I used a couple "coffee bean" clay embellishments from Trinity stamp, colored them with Copic marker to make them a little darker. Coffee bean paper is from Newton's Nook Designs.

Hope you are having a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Love, Eve

Missing you

Aloha~

My late mother loved scuba diving. After I left for college, she started to learn swimming (better) and moved to scuba diving. I'd been "collecting" scuba diving stamps but found only a couple in last 35 years of my stamping. When I saw the new release from Spellbinders, I had to have it! Since I've been stamping for so many years, I don't do "monthly subscription" anymore, but to get this set for sure, I had to... anyways, my mother's anniversary was coming, and I thought I would make a card, for her. I found the background paper in my stash, which I used My Favorite Things stencil. Other than all pieces from the set, I added the Hero Arts clear enamel dots to finish it off, as air bubbles. I've been seeing pictures of her, like this card, so many of them, in 35 years of her scuba diving life! The lady on the right who is hand signing, "👍" is definitely my mother. 💕

I miss her so much. I added that sentiment, attached with a foam tape, to give it a bit of dimension.

Now it's September, and the set became available for purchase, and I was surprised how great the club price was. I always loved Spellbinders dies, and this month, it's already on its way, and I love that September set, too. :)

The weekend is almost here! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

"SEA" you soon!

Aloha~

I must love this sketch! 😄This is my 3rd card for the challenge! Again, I used it sideways. I don't think I ever made three cards for a challenge, esp. in August, which happened to be the busiest month for my card making! Anyways, so, not only I love the sketch but also love this NND's paper pad! As I mentioned before, I was surprised to see many more NND stamp supplies than I ever thought I had! lol 😅Here is my card.

Inky Paws Challenge: Inky Paws Challenge #243 Week 4

So, actually I had the recipient in mind when I decided to make another card for the challenge. My BFF from college years which means, like more than 40 years(!) are coming to Hawaii with her husband of 29 1/2 years next month! She's been here in 70s' with her family but it's the 1st time ever for her husband! So, this is the inside of the card.

I love the pun! 😄The "Aloha" stamp & Hawaii Nei stamp are from the local stamp company.

Finally I WILL be able to start making "Halloween" cards. lol I got myself some Halloween stamps and dies, and I've been itching to use them! lol How about you?

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great week! Love, Eve

Coffee card for the card swap in August 2025

Aloha~

This is the swap card I made for this month. It's an "Iced Tea/Boba tea" card. I recently found a great buy at Echo Park website for the layered frame die set. It pURRfectly cut Newton's image! The designed papers are from Newton's nook also. The sun die cut is from Concord & 9th. The sentiment is from Pink & Main. Oh, the "sunburst" die all over the front panel is from Concord & 9th, too.

So, inside, you wonder why these two boba teas...? Well, the sentiment happened to say, "Cups", so I just added to make it more than one in the front of the card. lol Those are from Lawn Fawn.

Maybe I'll make a couple of more Summer card before shifting to "fall" theme, if I find time. Summer is always busy for me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Coffee card for September, 2025

Aloha~

So, I really liked the August sketch challenge of Newton's Nook Designs' monthly challenge, and I decided to make another card before this month ended. By the way, I went through what I had, and I was rather surprised that I had many more Newton's Nook Designs products than I thought I had. lol So, in the front, I used everything from Newton's Nook Designs (well, almost). And, I knew I was going to make a card for fall, I decided to make this one, and mail it to the September recipient whoever it will be, on the 1st day of next month comes. I wanted to make 'PSL" theme but couldn't find the sentiment stamp from NND and decided to use another company's sentiment inside of the card. I will decide which one to use, after getting the name of the recipient for the swap group on Sept.1st. Oh btw, I used the sketch, sideways, once again.

So, I'm submitting to the challenge; https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/2025/08/inky-paws-challenge-243-week-1.html

Hope you had a great week and getting ready for the weekend! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Updated : Sept.3, 2025
Since I received the recipient's name, I stamped some inside of the card. I also added a twine, which I should have added when I finished the card for the challenge... 😅

Happy Birthday #3!

Aloha~

Finally I could use this cute cupcake die from Pretty Pink Posh! In fact, I looked for a background paper for birthday card first, and I found this paper with lots of candles! I've never used this paper before. So, I started to design the card from that paper. The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.

Inside, the sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio and mug cup from Echo Park. The recipient is in Coffee card swap group, so I "added" extra to the original sentiment.

I hope that you all had a great weekend! Honolulu was busy over the weekend, including the annual event, Made In Hawaii. I mailed this card only on last Thursday, close to the closing time of nearby USPS. Friday was Hawaii statehood day and it was a local holiday when Made in Hawaii event had started, so long weekend for Hawaii. Then, the recipient posted that she received this card.... Already??!! She lives in central PA, NOT even on the west coast! That's one of the fastest mail delivery I can remember!

Happy Birthday! August #2

Aloha~

Updated on 9/8/'2025: This card was chosen by one of the designers of this challenge, and I received the badge! I placed it on the side bar of my blog. Yay!😊

Summer is always busy for me, and August is busy with birthday friends whom I plan to make cards for.

I bought this Newton & shell stamp set & paper pad as soon as it became available, but not I was only busy but I already had a particular recipient in mind~my former boss. She has a cat and she also lives in Hawaii, so this stamp set is PURR-fect! 😸

When I started to design, Newton's nook design's monthly challenge caught my eyes~sketch challenge. Since I have their papers, too, I decided to use this sketch. Come to think of it, the last time I joined the challenge, it was exact a year ago, and that was for Newton's nook designs, too, and used boba tea stamp set which back then, just came out. Just you know, though, when I say "just came out", it takes much longer to arrive here due to the location. Usually USPS takes a week to, sometimes, more than 3 weeks. 😑

Anyways, this is the card I made for her. I decided to use this sketch sideways. I think this challenge would've been much easier IF I had their newly released layout die but since I didn't get that one, I used My favorite things stitched frame die and cut it in the similar shape. I do like this sketch, though. Maybe I should get those dies from Newton's Nook Designs in the near future.... So, if you look closely, one and two sides of papers aren't stitched. ...I tried to color the kitty in my boss's kitty color but rather, failed..😓 At least, I tried... I used my recent favorite sentiment from Lawn Fawn. I used that for a birthday card I made, only last month. I used copics, esp. to give gradation in the sentiment, attached it with a thin foam tape.

She likes the puns, so I added more puns inside of the card. lol The larger font sentiment and paw stamps are from My favorite things and the smaller font sentiment is from Pink Fresh studio.

Oh so, I'm submitting this card to the August challenge. https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/

I wake up to the news that severe weather is still ramping up around the world. Please stay safe! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Aloha~

I made this card for one of my "coffee theme card swap group". I've been trying to use something I bought in the past, but haven't used them yet... sounds familiar?! LOL, we become "shopaholics" & "hoarders"! 😅. Anyways, I feel satisfied to use these "quilt" theme supplies, finally!

Well, I found out today that the recipient's birthday was 3 days earlier than the date I thought...oh well ...

It's been hot here in Hawaii, with the high of 90F and low of 79F. Stay safe, from wild fires, floods to bad air. Thank you for stopping my blog today. Love, Eve

Coffee themed card for July swap

Aloha~

This is the card I made for July swap. First I was inspired by Spellbinder's blog for new products. I often make a card for "Christmas in July", so it was perfect. But then, my "color combos" changed from red/green to "icy blue" after looking at the papers from Whimsy Stamps paper pad. Now, the recipient has a white kitty, I think. So, this is the card I came up with. For some years now, the stamp companies make great paper pads which I can't resist buying. lol...

This is what did, inside.

Severe weather continues... please take care of yourself. Stay safe! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday, my BFF!

Aloha~

Last month has been busy and I didn't make any card. Now I'm back. This is for my BFF. I first planned to use, either crab stamps or panda bears stamps, both she loved but I didn't come up with the design quick. She & her husband are coming to Hawaii in September, so I changed to "ocean and shells" as a main design. Hope she will be even more excited to come to Hawaii, after seeing this card!

I used Honey Bee Stamps Beach Break Cover plate and coordinating stencils for the background beach scene. I used shell stamps and sentiments from Lawn Fawn. I used Lawn Fawn's crunchy leaf ink to stamp, colored in with copics. I added the foam adhesives for sentiments and for some shells to give some dimension.  I added Ranger's stickles on the edge of the waves, then added some pearls to finish it off.

Inside, I used the sentiment stamp from Pink Fresh Studio, and two drink stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. We used to hang out to drink strawberry daiquiri in college, and they are coming to Hawaii, so I used coconut water drink. I forgot to take the picture inside before writing to her, so I covered them with post it notes. lol ...

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Severe weather continues in US mainland. Stay safe! Love, Eve

Coffee themed card for May swap

Aloha~

This is the card for May swap. How many of you like BOBA tea? I love Tapioca pearls, esp. in Ube, Matcha and regular ice tea flavor, as you can probably tell.😋

The main stamp is from Lawn Fawn who became 15 years old this spring, and that's their "birthday" stamp for the store. I can't believe that I MET Lawn Fawn 15 years go when the owner started the business. I used the sentiment from Pink and Main. What took my time the most is the background, using Simon Says Stamp Brush strokes stencil. The stencil itself has more wider spaces between the brush strokes and I wanted to use them to make "narrower" brush strokes background. Not only that, I tried to match the colors on the background paper from lawn fawn. So, I moved a little by little after stenciling one brush stroke at a time. Also, some are wider brush strokes which I didn't wanna use, so I used the ones which I would've liked to get this background result. And, I also chose the colors of the strokes one by one. Although it took more time to make this particular background, it comes in one stencil, and that means, it isn't that expensive. I like this purchase! I used the layering dies to cut the base and background, from Honey Bee Stamps. I bought the similar style from Spellbinders right before this purchase, but it turned out to be smaller and couldn't use for card base, but this does! I love that! And this is "top fold". I finished off with clear stickers of gold alphabets, to make the words "boba" in 2 sizes. Oh, and of course, I had to put a bit of Glossy Accents on all the bobas! So how do you think? I love this, turned out to be "Happy" card!

I've been hearing the severe weather lately from Texas to east coast, through mid west. If you are in the path, please stay safe!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Aloha~

My godmother's birthday is coming up. I made this card, thinking of the May birth flower~Lily of the Valley (from Hero Arts). I've known her for many many years but this is probably the first time to make a card with Lily of the Valley image, which I recently purchased.

I used Spellbinder's layering die, cutting from Lawn Fawn's paper, on the background. The sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio. I used Honey Bee stamps pearl embellishments to finish it off.

Inside, the sentiment is from the same stamp set of Pink Fresh Studio. My godmother brings happiness to all people around her, so I used this sentiment.

Happy Mother's Day Eve! Hope you all will have a wonderful day tomorrow! I'll be thinking about my mom, looking at the pictures from my childhood tomorrow 💕 Love, Eve

Coffee card for April swap.

Aloha,

My mind was (still is) full of Cherry Blossoms, and I planned to include cherry blossoms somewhere on my coffee themed card for this month's swap but failed. ...now I have really "dark color" coffee card. lol I still like it, though. What do you think?

I used this Impression Obsession stamp set for the first time. I enjoyed stamping and heat embossing them. I used Echo park stamp for the sentiment in the center, and diecut, using Pink Fresh Studio's Blanket stitched square die.

This is inside of this card. The sentiment is from the same stamp set of Impression Obsession, and I used Washi tape on the bottom.

Hope you are all having a great weekend! SPAM jam is going to take place in Waikiki, and a whole week of "Merrie Monarch festival" in Hilo. Every week and weekend, something is going on in this state, esp. in Honolulu county. They recently passed the bill to LIMIT the number of events, in Waikiki because people live there, too...great for tourists, though.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Happy Anniversary!

Aloha~

Hope y'all had a nice Easter. 🐰

My BFF's anniversary is coming up. I made this card for her. She loves panda bears. Probably they are her most favorite animals. Several stamp companies came out with panda bears stamp set in the past but never had bought them. They weren't quite my favorite types of panda bears. ... then Lawn Fawn released panda bear stamp sets some months ago, and I had to buy them all. Now, my bff will get more cards with these panda bears in the future. 😄

It's kinda self explanatory card. I also used Lawn Fawn's papers and card stock. The sentiment is from Altenew. I used gold paper underneath of the sentiment's cut out. It's hard to tell from the photo, but tried to match with those gold flakes on all over the LF's papers.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Spring, Happy Easter! #2

Aloha~

Cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere, and Easter is coming up! This is another Spring/Easter card I made. This Cherry Blossoms are made from Sunny Studio's stamps and dies. I used little critter stamps, sentiment and background papers from Lawn Fawn. Little pearls are from Honey Bee Stamps. Golden eggs are Simon Says stamps. The recipient used to live on ' "Fox"field lane' and I often use "fox" on the cards I make for her. 🦊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope all flowers and trees are blooming in your area, too! Love, Eve

Happy Spring, Happy Easter! #1

Aloha~

This is my first Spring/Easter card. The recipient lives right outside of D.C., and had been working in D.C. for some decades. So we chat about Cherry Blossoms every spring. This year, I just wanted to make a card for Easter and spring together since Easter is in April. I decided to make a bit "untraditional Easter" card with Cherry Blossoms. 🌸🌸

The dies are from Spellbinders. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn's. The bunnies are Impression Obsession's.

Inside, the sentiment is Lawn Fawn's, from the same stamp set. The bunnies are also Lawn Fawn's.

I love looking at Cherry Blossoms... makes me feel a bit relaxed and at peace.

Hope y'all are having a nice weekend.. I've read that some parts of US had some snow! Stay safe! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Happy First Day of Spring! 💮

I'm sending this card to a birthday lady in my coffee card swap group.

I recently purchased the newly released stencil & die set from Waffle flower. This cupcake looked so yummy and wanted to use it right away. 😊I made a dozen die cuts with the cupcake images in different color combinations, and from there, I started to make a card. I often use color yellow for the cards I make for April. Her birthday is in the beginning of April. Here is the card I made.

I wanted to include a special sticker sheet and didn't wanna fold it, so I made a Slimline card. It fitted perfectly with my card.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment stamp from MFT, and added extras, using the stamps from Honey Bee stamps, the Greetery and Stampendous!

How's the first day of Spring look like in your area?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Weekend is almost here! Love, Eve
