Happy Anniversary!

Aloha~
I made a card for my best friend's wedding anniversary.
I started to think the design and the new kit from MFT Stamps were introduced. I thought, aha!
This is it! I sometimes call her when they are watching a movie, and it seems they like to watch movies together, at home. They are hard working couple and they don't like to decorate and have much "stuff" like I (and other "crafters") do! lol So, this card looks rather "simple" but this is exactly what my friend & her husband like. 😊Also, half of the colors on this card is "customized" from their actual family room!

These days, many dies get released, and they look wonderful once all "tiny" die cuts get placed, but they are "tiny"! lol It's hard to handle them even I use the embellishment wand, esp. when I have to "glue" them! I don't have nails (!! lol) so even it's harder, but I still love the end results. πŸ˜€
I used Altenews stamps for the sentiment and hearts. I heat embossed in gold for the sentiment. I used all scrap papers for all those little dies. I found a right color 'wooden' design paper from my paper collection, and I used it for the floor. Again, it looks "simple" but that's what their "comfy" place is πŸ’•

Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Coffee card for April

Aloha~

It took several days to finish this card. Lately the stamp companies releases dies with very small pieces. They look great but when I try to use them, it's hard... Still, I keep buying them. lol... Anyways, this is one of the cards which I used those little pieces. It takes more time for choosing "colored papers" for each pieces, too, than coloring them... I also started out with the different colors for the background and the card base, but I couldn't make the card, so I changed the colors. πŸ˜“ When you have so many choices, it gets harder to decide which one would be the best...I'm glad I finished this card. Otherwise, I would be late for mailing the card. ... The shiny silver heavy paper which I die cut for coffee maker are from the package of one of my skin care products. I keep those, and mostly I use them for "stars" for nightly sky on my cards but this time, it became handy for my coffee maker πŸ‘Oh by the way, for the die cutting, I used TH's card stock which he said it wouldn't be a great card base but good for die cutting, so I used those for the 1st time. I'm happy with those papers, on this card!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend! Love, Eve

Happy Easter! 2 cards

I made 2 Easter cards. It took me a while to come up with the ideas but finally finished and mailed them yesterday.

I used Simon Says stamp Egg shaped die to cut one of Lawn Fawn's paper with the sun beam. I stamped the sentiment from Poppy stamps and heat embossed in gold. I attached the lily brad from my very OLD stash so I don't know who made it. lol...I attached "the egg" to Tim Holtz woodgrain white card stock. I attached the watering can die cut from Memory Box. I die cut bunnies using Lawn Fawn's dies and little eggs using Memory box. To finished it off, I attached butterflies using Lawn Fawn's dies & shimmer paper.

Inside, I stamped sentiments from Poppy Stamps stamp set. Since I couldn't finish the card earlier, I made it for "spring" greeting, too. πŸ˜…These aren't getting to the destinations before Easter... Oh, so, I used Memory box little egg die to cut out "the Golden Easter Egg"! The picture doesn't show it well but it's an "gold" egg. 😊 The last picture shows "gold" a little better.

I also made another card, which is similar to the first card. I used different card stock, and little bunnies are die cut using IO dies. Inside is the same, with "the Golden Easter Egg"!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Happy Easter! Love, Eve
