EIC #103 - 2nd card! :-)

My second submission to this week's challenge at Etsy Inspired Challenge is the ladybug Bling ring from the Caged Fairy Shop. I used Posh impressions ladybug stamps (outline stamp & solid stamp), heat embossed, and placed the gems where the ladybug's dots are, just like on the pic. :-) Flourish stamp is from Autumn Leaves, and heat embossed too. Layering Black solid paper has Shimmers in it. So is the paper for the sentiment/happy birthday. Colors of black stripes background paper looks a bit grey cuz of the flash, and the colors of RED card stock & Ribbon looks a bit orangish but they are more like Cardinal dark red.

EIC #103

This week's challenge at Etsy Inspired Challenge is from the Caged Fairy Shop on Etsy. I got inspired by her store more than one. I even wanted to make MORE than TWO, being getting inspired by her things!! Unfortunately i don't have those Trendy OWL stamp... I have seen Alice In Wonderland STAMP collection in online store somewhere but i don't own those either, BUT i thought of Tim Holtz' rabbit stamp when i saw this pendant picture, and i decided to make a card with this pendant in mind, first. yes, i made 2 cards for this week's challenge! :-) When i make cards for "challenges" on blogs, i hardly check what i win, BUT WHEN i get inspired RIGHT AWAY from the themes and pics. , i just make cards! :-) I had hard time, choosing which pic. to pick from this store this week! LOL! I'm uploading 2 pics. for the same card on this post cuz i used perfect pearls, and one card isn't enough to see it on screen... i used perfect pearls on Black background textured paper & around the rabbit on white CS, using the same swirl stamp (Tim Holts also) and same color of perfect pearls; Blue Smoke. I colored the white CS edges with mementos' London fog color. Unfortunately the color isn't that great... the red CS i used, is really a dark Cardinal color red BUT all pics. i took show a bit Orangish color...:-( The ribbon has shimmer in it. I'm not sure when i'll be able to afford a better Rabbit image was attached using pop up glue dots to give some dimention.

Simon Says Challenge - Paper Piecing!

I luv Paper Piecing! So much Fun! BUT my stamps are very limited to do good paper piecing, esp. the companies Simon Says carries. This is the stamp i chose. It's Penny Black. I'm not sure you can tell all which i did paperpiercing, from this pic. Well, the largest part is the table cloth. I matched with the backgrond paper. Others?? All 5 Gift Bags! oh my! Those were very small to cut out! For christmas tree border, i used a piece of Silky Red Ribbon underneath, to give a bit of soft, but shiny look instead of regular card stock. I used my fav.! Sakura Quick Glue pen to draw the edge of the circle cut out with the sentiment, red-glittered it! I drew the silver earrings & the necklace for a blond girl, and gold earrings & the necklace for brown hair girl, using gel pens. This stamp wasn't meant for Christmas time, which i can tell from the original coloring but when i started to paperpierce them, i found more Christmas design & color papers which fitted well. As usual??, i used 3D glue dots for sentiment & the main image, but used thicker ones for the main image.

House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge #76 ~ a Photo

As soon as i saw this photo, i thought of my HM stamp with a cup cake which my online HM friend, Valda gave me :-) I've been searching Cupcake designed papers, ever since, but i can't find it...2 local stamp stores, 1 local scrapbooking store, michaels & joann's... :-( so, i had to MAKE some background papers...I stamped cupcake images randomly, and colored the cherries with dark pink gel pen. I just noticed... eyelets are all the same color but on the pic., it shows two on the top are darker than the lower ones...

Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge 17

It's a Sketch time at Fussy and Fancy Friday Challenge this week. And this is the first time i used this border punch for circle base. Anyways, since i don't have any swirl punches, i used those gems to make swirls. I placed the tiniest pearls on her necklace & earing. I used Glitter to make a frame for the bride image. I luv this bride stamp! "best wishes" circle tag was attached with pop up glue dots. I haven't made a wedding card for a very long time, but i really wanted to make one using this beautiful bride stamp which i got it recently at a stamp fair. I luv this ROUND card. I should make a card with it more often :-)

This week's sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping is Really Simple! lol! And this is my card. I got this color combination from my friends' mother's t-shirt which i saw yesterday! lol Stamp is from Tim Holtz collection, stamped on dry embossed CS which is really hard to see, but that's the reason why the stamped image looks like that beside the original stamp doesn't have solid lines either.

This week's Inspiration photo is from Global Child Collection at Etsy Inspired Challenge. When i saw this pic. i thought of my new addition; $1.00 tree stamp! lol! :-) I luv the saying stamp which came with this tree stamp. The tree with the saying image was attached with pop up glue dots, for it to stand out among those 4 tree images.

Here is the sketch for Mojo Monday Challenge this week, and this is my card. Stamp is Darcie's, heat embossed on the half slice of lemon & attached with pop up glue dots. Glossy Accent was used on ice cubes & lemon pulps in the glass. Very summery card!:-)

Postcard to my mother

I know she would luv this postcard. She luvs the beach as much as i do! She still goes to scuba diving around the world at the age of almost 70! I'm glad she is quite healthy!

HM Postcard Swap Cards

These are the postcards i made for the swap. I was required to send 2 postcards. I enjoyed making these 2. For the first card, the palm trees stamp is from Vivid Jungle (Guam's Original), and the sand stamp is from CTMH. For the second card, Ice Cream Parlor stamp is from Darcie's and the bee stamps are from CTMH. I paperpieced the awning of the parlor. Since they were the postcards, i didn't put any embellishments so the surface stays rather flat. These were rather fun to make! :-)

the Corrosive Challenge #76 is a Sketch!

I luv these 2 stamps i used. I don't have any military personel in my family but most of my friends from last 12 years are in the military, living in the lands of Military (mainly Navy); in Guam & Hawaii, and it always makes me to think about those who serves this country, esp. when sketch shows Stars & Squared card base. The images are heat embossed but hard to tell from this pic. I just can't take a Good pic. of this card, for some reason :-( I really wanted to embellish more, esp. on the red background paper with stars BUT when i challenge sketches, i try, as close as the original sketch. So, this is the finished card for this challenge. If i send this card to somebody, i might embellish more :-) oh, i rotated the sketch by 90 degrees.

Copic Certification - general info.

Today's fact finding : When i get Curious, i have to ask & find out. Curiousity might kill the cat Anyways, for some reason, i got curious about copic certification, whether it's been offered in Japan where the Copic are manufactured, or not. And if they do, how much, etc. I just found out that only in US, Europe & Australia, you can get certified. The reason, according to the general manager of the maker of Copic markers is because Scrapbooking/Rubber stamping isn't as popular as it is in those countries mentioned. Copic here is very big now but apparently, not in Japan where its HQ is.
