Simon Says ...Silver, Blue, White!

... and this is my 3rd card submission! Apparently i made more christmas cards in these colors for most obvious colors in this month! I get inspired by the NATURE the most, and Early Snow & cold December in this area this year made me to make cards with "snow" a lot... I luv to make Christmas cards in Red and Green, and i remember i made those colored cards back in July for a couple of "Christmas in July" blog challenges... I don't know when was the last time the temp. went up to 32F... so snow which has fallen early this month still stays on the ground! And looking at the ground every day for last couple of weeks, i got inspired more for making cards with these colors. I'm mailing this christmas card to my online friend in Michigan, Elizabeth who sent me my winning of her blog candy a couple of months ago. I hardly win anything if somebody choose the random number, and i didn't know i won her blog candy for 3 days after she announced it on her blog, and she tried very hard to reach me! lol! I was soooo happy when i found that out! Anyways i made this for her, and realized again, that i could submit to Simon says challenge this week too! :-) I used Frosted lace stickles on the ground (under the chick's feet). The stamp is from Penny Black and Elizabeth is in PB DT, so i decided to use this image which i recently received from another online friend of mine. (thanks Josie!) I've written "jingle bells" in silver gel pens, as if these chicks are singing the song! :-) I used cuttlebug's snowflakes folder, used Stickles here & there, to give some more sparkles on the already white shimmery CS.

...Another House Mouse christmas card to my local friend!

I made this card to my local friend, Linda M. She likes "Cute" too, so i thought this would be really good, to mail it to her. I first layered the brown mouse & candle with the candle holder with the grey mouse. Then I colored grey mouse again, on the candle holder. I should've taken the pic. from the side... it's already mailed out so i can't... I used distress ink around the edge of the main image & the twine. I used another color of distress ink to color the off white lace border. I used the glossy accent on the candle's wax dropping and the mouse's eye ball!, and yellow glitter stickles on the candle. I used white liquid pearl to make decoration on the candle holder, just for fun! lol!

Another House Mouse christmas card to my friend!

I used this stamp for another challenge a couple of weeks ago, but I altered the image a little. This time, I really wanted to use this image as the way it is, and I did :-) I made this card to my HM group friend; Cathy K. We both don't like snow but we both luvs our Mouse so dearly! :-) I uploaded the two pics., so you can see the card better. I used glossy accent to christmas lights cords, to give a look of vinyl around the real cords. I used stickles "frosted lace" on the igloo. I really like this special stickles with texture. I put the tiny light blue gems on the snowflake images on the sentiment dies. What I luv the most about this card is what i did, to "around" christmas lights, to give a look of "Lighting" :-)

RAK & HM Monday Challenge #84 "Oh Charming Christmas Tree"

I made this card, planning to send to one of my HM group friend, Karen A. but had the theme in mind, to submit to House Mouse & Friends Monday blog; "oh Charming Christmas Tree" challenge. I colored the star on the tree, using Smooch SPRITZ; Gold. I colored the tree in watercolor pencis first but also wanted to add some sparkling, so i used Smooch SPRITZ; Green. I colored the mouse in water color pencils. I sponged the baby blue color around the mouse. Then I stamped a tiny snowflakes in Brilliance Starlight silver. Brilliance ink has been one of my most FAV. & most USED inks cuz of its color & it does dry even they are pigment ink, rather fast, not to mention, Archival :-) I put glitter around the circle of the 2 images. I embossed the background paper, using snowflakes cuttlebug folder, and glittered here & there, all over the background paper.

House Mouse Christmas Card

I made this card to my HM online friend, Valda. The charm "JOY" was plain in silver, so i adhered the glitter on Holly branch. I attached the new addition to my stash of ribbons; Twine! Those Swirls are stickers! I used Stickles/Frosted lace as snow. I had 3 different Clear color with glitter, in Stickles but not this Frosted lace. This one is different from others, because it gives more texture than other colors. I luv this stamp, although i wound never do "Snow Angel", but rather "white Sand Angel" I would be doing! LOL! I'm also posting this on HM & friends' blog. ps. It is 16F at noon, today.. brrr...

HM Birthday Card

I made this card to my HM online friend, Sue Kment. We "met" in House Mouse yahoo group about 8 years ago. I have only a couple of HM birthday stamps, and i know she's seen & made lots of HM cards in the past, so i had to be REALLY creative/different to surprise her, and i came up with this idea. :-) This is just one small "party mouse" stamp, and i stamped repeatedly, and it looks more festive! :-) I used Souffle white pen to make "marks" on all balloons. I attached silver cords to balloons under the sentiment. For others, i handdrew the strings for balloons with the silver gel pen. I used liquid applique for the icing on the cake. I drew the ribbon on the present with the gold gel pen. For the candle, and mice's hats, i used glitters, in different colors. What i didn't notice when i took this photo was that the tiny pink paper scrap is attached on the mouse's hand on the right hand of the card... i think it got there with the static or something. It shouldn't be there. Hope it's not there when Sue receives the card....

Tilda ~ Christmas card

I made this Tri-shutter card for my online friend, Sue Seidlinger who gave me this image! (Thanks again, Sue!) I enjoyed making this card, because i finally got to use those Pretty Christmas Papers! lol! I really wanted to attach some christmas ornaments so i hanged those stamped & cut christmas ornament images, decorating with liquid pearls & glitter with strings. The "grey" colored parts on this card are actually in "SILVER" but can't tell from this pic.. I used glossy accent on her black dress shoes for the shiney look :-) I'll make another Tri-shutter card when i get Pretty Papers again! :-) It was fun making it, and hope Sue will like it :-)

EIC 116 #2

This is my second card for EIC 116, and the pic./product i was inspired by, from the shop of Heartsong is below my card pic. #2. I used the glossy card stock. I colored with different colors of distress inks to make sky and beach/sand. I used Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp this Inkadinkado image to make sure the right image would be stamped on the right location, using the distress ink again. I used pop up dots for the main image to give a bit of depth to the card.

EIC 116 #1

This week's challenge at Etsy Inspired is from the shop of Heartsong. I made 2 cards for this week's challenge. This is #1. The pic./product i was inspired by in Heatsong shop is below my card's picture. This deer stamp is from Lawn Fawn. The snow flakes & sentiment is from the same stamp set. I used a piece of yarn on the deer's neck, which Lawn Fawn wrapped my purchase with :-) (thank you!) I like to keep those little embellishments from all kind of things, packages, etc. I put glossy acccet on the deer's nose. I used Souffle pen on the stamped snowflakes, to give a bit of character. I drew the deer's footprints on the snow, using a marker. I used pop up dots for the deer, to give a bit of depth to the card.

Simon says...

"Let it snow!" That's the challenge at Simon Says Challenge this week... again, this isn't what i want to say, but the challenge is called for it... and i made it... lol... yes, we already had our first snow, but it was a very light snow, very early in the morning, and dissappeared like sands... This HM image is just like here in western PA... still see the leaves & had a little bit of snow... I put Glitters in the center of all snowflakes but it doesn't show on this pic. much... and also on those dotted lines. The sentiment is from Mary Engelbreit ink. I've also drawn the veins of the leaves in copper color gel pen. That doesn't show much either. So, in person, this card looks much more shimmery! lol :-)

HM Birthday Card

I made this card for my online HM friend, Mary Ann for her birthday. I layered 3 nesties, with the different papers. I used yellow glitter in the center of the flowers. I often end up making "purple" card! lol, just luv the color... :-) The name of the stamp is "One Mouse Band". This mouse is playing "happy birthday to you~~"

Hanukkah Card & gift tag

I finally found my fav. design of Hanukkah stamps! And this is my card. I also made a couple of gift tags because i'm participating in gift's exchange in 2 weeks, for this year's Hanukkah. All stamps are from Lawn Fawn, in a Clear stamp set. I used "text" embossing folder with the cuttlebug, for making the silver background paper. I heat embossed all images. I used yellow stickles for the flames. Since i'm not Jewish, and i dont' know much about anything, i made the card rather simple, so i don't offend anybody, doing something wrong...:-)

ETC #115

This week's Etsy Inspired Challenge is from the store of Queen of Tarts Cakes. Like somebody asked in the blog challenge, I also get inspired by so many products/pics the stores have, and this week, i decided to combine 2 products/pics as my inspiration and made a card :-) Two small pics are the ones I was inspired by.
I paper pieced the dolls' clothes. I made a "quilt block" and "sew" (actually paper pierced!! lol!) around it :-) I punched many 1/16" holes around the oval nesties, on scallop nesties. I think this card turned out fun, cute, and cozy looking :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!! from House Mouse :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!! I made this card for my House Mouse friend, Mary Ann. She sent this image to me! :-) So, i made a Shaker card with it, and mailed it back to her! :-) You can see those leaves are the ones which is in the shaker box. The leaves move. I also punched out those leaves on the other side of the inside of the card and have drawn the veins with the copper gel pen. I used cuttlebug embossing folder and have drawn some veins there too. The cornucopia is an old Darci's stamp. Hope you'll all have a great thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving Dinner Table :-)

I made this card for my new local friend, Linda. This is another old stamp from Inky Antics. I bought it, many years ago, but had never inked it before! I used glossy accent for apples & on the pilgrim's hat, where it is shinny. I used copper gel pen here and there, to give some accent, like on leaves, Stitches of the girls headband, etc. The image of the corns is Inkadinkado. I luv the leaf punch! I used shimmery cs & draw some veins, attached them with 3d glue dots, and the main image is also raised with 3d glue dots, like you can see it in the 2nd pic.

Tilda says, "Happy Thanksgiving!"

I luv this image! I made this Easel card to my best friend from College, Laura. I colored Tilda with watercolor pencils. Little glitter on laces of Tilda's clothe & copper gel pen for veins of leaves. The little cornocopia is an old stamp from Darci's. I used many pop up dots glue to give dimentions, all over the card :-)

Simon says ... Sparkle!

This is the kind of Christmas trees the tropical islands have! lol :-) This christmas "palm" tree is from Guam's Original Stamp company. For this week's "sparkle" challenge, i used gems under the sentiment. I used yellow Stickles in the middle of Plumeria flowers; tropical flowers you can find all over on the tropical islands :-) I also used silver gel pens to the ornaments & wreath. I used red liquid pearls on berries on the wreath. I used simmery light blue card stock too, so in person, this card is even more Sparkling than on the pic! :-) I also luv all the blue colors i used for this card. To distress the main image & the sentiment, i used Tim Holtz' Faded Jeans & Broken china distress inks. I saw the great image, using these 2 colors, recently, from Kathy's blog (The Daily Marker), so i bought myself the Faded Jeans color inkpad. The little hard thing i did was to cut all little ornaments, to attach with 3d glue dots, cuz they are very small to handle. I also did that for the wreath. I'm also sending this to my NEW online friend, in Wisconsin, as RAK (swap), to surprise her, with this card (she doesn't know my blog address yet! ;-)) I don't think she's ever seen Christmas "Palm" tree before, on the christmas card! ;-) For this RAK, i'm supposed to attach the holiday recipe. I stamped on the corner of the recipe card with CTMH stamp, as you can see it on the 3rd pic.... Now you can see how much i miss my beautiful Tropical islands life...

HM & friends challenge #82

This image is really big, bigger than my halloween easel card i made, with HM halloween image. I had to make the card with 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" base cs instead of 5 1/2" x 4 1/4". But I luv this HM design! And if you look closer, the middle brown mouse is giving a hand (for some reason, i can't figure out what), to the next grey little mouse, and I thought this would be perfect for this week's challenge; "You gotta have friends"! :-) I distressed the grass cut outs, to look a bit more fall-like (Fiskar's border punch). I placed 3 layers of grass cut outs. I used Glossy accents for rain drops. I used broze color gel pen for leave's veins. I luv my MICE friends :-)

House Mouse cards to my online friends

I made this "Gate fold card with a twist" (from stampTV), using my fav. House mouse for my online friend, Yara's birthday. You can see how it opens, in the second pic. I used the glitters on mice's birthday hats & candle flames to look Festive :-) I mixed the clear heat EP with glitter, for the sentiment, to heat emboss. The background paper is from my fav. stack of DCWV, "Sweets". I used the same paper inside of the card. I really like this stamp image :-) Another house mouse rak isn't actually a card but made a little bag to hold the Marshmallow lovers' hot chocolate mix, to send it to my another online friend, Mary anne. She remembered that i really like Marshmallows, and when this Stamp of the month (marshmallow design) came out, she just sent the image to me. How sweet of her! So, i decided to make a bag, with the colored image, sent it back to her, saying "thanks", with the hot chocolate mix in it! :-) I'm uploading these cuz i just read that they received these safely :-)

EIC #113

This week's Etsy inspired challenge is from the Putu Princess Escapes. I hardly make any asian type card but when i found this Posh Impressions' Japanese Stamp set, i had to buy cuz luved Dee's authentic Japanese designs! I was impressed with these designs, and i even e-mailed her husband (who is the CEO at Posh Impressions) through Club posh, and he e-mailed me back, saying that Dee stayed in Japan as an exchange student in her high school years! No wonder! Anyways, i particularly luv this stamp! The small pic. is the one i got inspired from. The carps & flowers are heat embossed. I scattered tiny pearls on the flowers & fern. I used water drop STICKERS all over too. I used glitter here & there, on the Wave design paper. The main image & flowers are attached with 3D glue dots to give a bit of dimention. I also distressed the edges of the main image & background cs, colored with the distress inks.

Penny Black Sat.challenge wk126

ok, another Difficult one for me..."LET IT SNOW" challenge...but i found a very old Penny Black stamp in my collection - snowmen! :-) It is a long stamp, and i barely fit it in the regular size CS. I sometimes use partially if the stamp is long or big but this one, it was rather impossible to trim the stamped image cuz all snowmen's hands were stretched out to the next snowman! lol! I colored the snowmen with Le Plume markers, added fun flocks & glitter here and there. I used cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, petit oval nesties (added with 3D dots for the sentiment), and i WROTE "let it snow", using sakura quick glue pen, poured glitters on the letterings. ...still Denying this sentiment...lol...

Simon says... are you all WHITE??

that's the challenge this week, and again, i finally finished it...it's due tonight... I made this card, BUT i really don't like making a card, thinking? SNOW... I can make BEACH/summer cards all year around but NOT the one with the snow... i can do christmas cards, in SUMMER/warmer weather, NOT with the snow... My first warm christmas was back in college time, in Key West, FL. Then Sydney, Australia, and Guam & Hawaii. I have many years of Christmas withOUT snow! lol! anyways, i need to make a card with white so, i thought of SNOW or wedding, and i chose snow... This House mouse image actually has christmas lights over the igloo but i didn't ink those parts, cuz my card had to be all WHITE (or as white as it can be!). So, i HAD to hide the parts i didn't ink, on the igloo with the snowflake punches, with 3D glue dots :-) I used 2 cuttlebug folders. I painted parts of the raised snowflake images with perfect pearls, mixed with water. I also used glitter glue. The light is coming out from the inside of igloo cuz the mice has a little gas heater inside of the igloo, to keep themselves a bit warm! ;-) I wish i could've taken this pic. while sun was still out by the window, but no time. It gets dark outside early these days... so i had to take a pic. with the flash with the regular room light... I also tried to find other sentiiments to go with this image, other than "let it snow" which i really didn't want to use (or say) but surprisingly, there are not many short sayings with snow images...If you can think of other great "short" sentiments, which can go with the snow image, please let me know! :-)

Penny Black Weekend Sketch Challenge - "sketch1"

I luv this stamp cuz i can use as ONE image, like this, or i can use the individual cat, like i did (actually two together out of these 3 cats) in a previous post. I used white rick rak on the red CS and under/bottom of the Red CS. Again, i used my fav. Souffle white pen to draw the parenthesis on the both side of the sentiment. I used the gold gel pen to draw the vein on the red part of the poinsettia & green metalic gel pen on the green part, to give a bit of life! :-)

Mojo Monday #163

Again, time flew, and i finally finished this card! hyuuu... I think this is a cute sketch! I used glitters on the berries, the edge of the nesties, snowflakes & snow on the ground. I used my fav. Sakura Souffle white pen for those snow/dots on the mug cup and snow on the birdhouses. I used Glossy accent on the candy cane to give more shiney look like real one :-) I luv this stamp. It's Debbie Mumm's design, from Stampington Company. I still luv Debbie Mumm's designs and buy her fabrics (i sew :-)) and other things but i dont' think nobody makes her RED rubber stamps anymore. This stamp is dated, "1998" (and i probably got it, in early 2000s) but hardly ever used it before, so it still looks like new :-) She & Joann (the craft store) make Clear Stamps sometimes though. Her design is a classic Country, and i luv it! :-) In person, the color of this card is a bit more darker blue.

"House Mouse" News!!

I "met" "Maxwell" in a teacup ("Feeling Rosy" rubber stamp) 10 years ago, in a stamp store in Guam. Now they will be on the FABRIC in mid Feb. 2011, and since i sew too, i'm very excited!! :-) You can see the designs here; http://www.house-mouse.com/php/House-MouseDesignsFabric.php They are soooo cuuute!! :-)

Simon says...

"Punch Em'!" so i used Christmas Tree punch. I decorated the trees with Red & Gold Liquid pearls :-) I used white flock on the top (pompon) of the santa's hat & the rim. I decorated the rim of the main images with the red glitter. I luv this christmas background paper. It's a bit shimmery, not too much, but also very colorful :-)

the Corrosive Challenge #87 Halloween (or Orange/Black)

I've been wanting to use this SCARY tree cut out from Cricut. I drew some lines with gel pen, to give a bit "life" into the tree :-) Except the tree & bats, i used dimentional glue to give a bit depth into the card.

PB sat. challenge wk124

The theme is "Spooky Nights". The "witch student" is also a new PB stamp. I've been wanting to use the "in the forest look" background paper. It looks like those hedges are flying in the forests :-)

HM & Friends Mon.Challenge #81~Halloween!

I luv this stamp but it is BIG! I layered the colored image on the dry embossed black background CS, which i matched the pattern with the liner inside of the card. I cut the 2nd image (HM in a Pumpking costume), colored it, and attached with dimentional glue to give a bit of depth to the card. You can see it on the 2nd pic. I luv this Halloween greeting Cut & emboss combo die but to give more vivid image, i used Sakura Quickie Glue pen, to adhere the glitters, as you can see it on the 3rd pic. yes, i took a pic. AFTER i decided to send this out to my online *HM* friend & wrote the message ... as you can see a bit in white writings...lol...I luv to make easel cards :-)

Simon Says... Give Thanks!

Stamped images are all heat embossed. It doesn't show well on this pic....Except the sentiment, the stamps are from Inkadinkado. The top layer of images are attached by dimentional glue, to attach the rust color background CS, and that is atttached by dimmentional glue to the base CS, as you can see it on the 2nd pic. Ribbon has 3 loops :-) The Tim Holtz leaf embellishment was too dark so i inked it & heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The tag was distressed around the edge.

Penny Black Sat. Challenge wk123

This week's challenge is the sketch. I have this stamp for a long time, but still luv it! I used Glossy Accent, Stickles/baby blue & bubble stickers all over on this card, from bubble images to the center of flower eyelets! I attached the 2nd image of the mouse in the his bathtub, with dimentional glue.

This is the way to Celebrate! lol!
