Birthday card for Coffee card swap group member

Aloha~

This is the card I made for a member of Coffee card swap group I belong to.
It was fun to make because I used this and that from different things and brands. I finally received Honeybee stamps paper pad after waiting for the notification coming through. It's a beautiful paper pad! Although you all know I love the ocean and beach, I also love animals and "in the woods and forest" related products, to make my cards, and this was one of them. I used Cabin die and birthday beaver stamp (which was a freebie from Lawn Fawn for my birthday month). I thought a lot about what to place in the windows and behind the "open door" area. That's when I came up with the idea after unable to find such small stamps for coffee. Yes, I had this Washi tape from nearby Japanese "dollar store", although it's not a dollar and now with the inflation, it's" $1.75 store", but I found this Washi tape a couple of years ago. They fitted pretty well, don't you agree? 😀I had a couple of choices behind the door, and chose the fox, cutting from my collection of "hoarded papers for years", so I'm not sure about its brand. lol I probably found it at Jo Anne over 10 years ago, I think... also "cafe" sign is a part of the same Washi tape I used for windows. Can you see the little "steam" from the chimney? I found the perfect size from one of the Newton's Nook Design stamp set. The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp. I love the front on this card, using different things from different brands and different times.

Oh by the way, not card related, but I found this at Macys recently, at their newly decorate floor for Christmas in Home department. I'm a "PSL" person! lol I had to get this ornament.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you will have a great week! "Autumn" has started! 🍂 Love, Eve

Coffee card for September swap

Aloha~

PSL season has arrived! Yaaaas! 😋So, this is my card.

I love this stamp set from The Greetery. I fell in love with the argyle pattern paper which Honeybee stamps released very recently, and I had to use this particular paper for the card. I first layered the background papers, and then, I designed and chose the stamps for the front. Usually it's other way around, but I really love this paper and other papers in that paper pad! The sentiment on the top is from Sunny Studio stamps and I layered it over the die cut without the sentiment. Other sentiments are from Art Impressions.

First day of fall is just around corner! Happy Fall, y'all!

Housewarming card with the gift

Aloha~

This is a rather quick card I made, to enclose in the package of Housewarming gift for my godmother. She & her husband moved to the senior living community recently. When they decided the place a year ago, she told me that there was an indoor pool. She was reluctant to move out from a big house to a smaller place but she was a little happy about the pool. 😊So, I decided then, the beach towel with the beach design as her housewarming gift.😊

I recently got this red panda stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I colored it with Copics. The background swimming pool is a stencil from MFT stamps. I used the light blue Copic to color over silver layered paper, to tone down. Then, just for fun, I drew "little waves" on the panel, with the same light blue Copic.

Have a great week! Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Best wishes!

Aloha~ Hope your new, short week has started out well. 😊

This is the card for my BFF's daughter, who's got her first career job after graduating from college a couple of months ago, and relocating to Africa! 🐅 When this set from Concord & 9th came out in July, I thought of her right away and bought it. I wanted to "customize" for her and I chose the animals paper from Echo Park. As I made, I noticed a couple of things and I had to adjust it, to work well on this card, like the "windows". The stamp is a simple night sky image, and I wanted to give a bit of impression when she opened the windows, so I attached the stickers. Oh before doing so, I used two different card stock to see which card stock grabbed the ink well and get the better result. I got good result from both card stock, but when I tried to this design, it was easier to move the window shades, if I used the lighter card stock. Also, I attached some stickers from Concord & 9th which I bought with the dies and stamp sets. I elevated the panel more than initially I planned cuz of those stickers.

You can see when the windows are closed and when they are opened.

I still see the heat wave across US on weather forecast. Please stay safe! Here in Hawaii, I have started to feel a little "fall" in the breeze, despite of the high of 90F every day.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve
