"Embossed Impressions" experiment

I watched this video clip of Embossed Impressions by Jennifer McGuire and wanted to try it out. I learned a couple of things. 

I used different papers. Both are for watercoloring (heavy weight) but not Tim Holtz' which was used on the video by Jennifer McGuire. Far left with the maple leaves and the 2nd from the right of the oak leaves, I used the watercoloring paper with texture, and other two are Strathmore Bristol smooth finish papers. I used Tim Holtz distress inks, the same colors as she used, but I used waterbrush, instead of using a brush and water. The regular textured watercolor papers didn't give the good result on blending the colors on the images compared to other two on Strathmore Bristol papers. So, I also tried what she did; flicking some water on the paper, sprinkling some gold embossing power while the water is still wet. It took much longer to heat emboss because the water was underneath it. I liked how those gold splatter on the paper turned out. Especially, on those textured papers which I thought they didn't look great, but with those gold splatter, they look nicer. 

For the envelopes, I did exactly what she did on the video. So, you get the debossed side on the surface of the envelope. I really like this idea.
