CHOCOLATES!! :-)

I made this card for SSS119 challenge, which is a sketch challenge. I cut these 2 mice with chocolates images from one stamp image. I used sakura clear glaze pen for chocolates, and mouse's teeth, and I used glossy accent for the icing. I attached 2 images with nestie dies with pop up glue dots to give some dimention. I'm going to send this to my "house mouse friend" who recently came home from the surgery.

Hope you all are having a great evening. Thank you for stopping by my blog today! :-)

"Make your own patterned paper with stamps"

at Lawnscaping challenge this week. I've been wanting to use this Smiley Penguin for a very long time, with this sentiment. In fact, I once tried to make a card with this penguin & the sentiment but something happened, and I didn't finish the card. Anyways, I had to make my own patterned paper with stamps, so I did, with these cute Penguins!! The baby penguin also came to HELP! lol :-) There is an airplane on the original sentiment stamp but i didn't ink that part. I really luv this grey copic marker so I used the marker to color the edges of the layering cs , as well as the Flamingo color marker to match the colors of images. I could've Embellished more but I didn't, because I wanted to emphasize more on BACKGROUND Paper which I created with stamping. The sentiment is adhered with dimentional foams. I haven't STAMPED this much on One card for a while, and it was actually lots of FUN! :-)

Lawnscaping challenge #4 ~ Paper Piecing

When I saw these lanterns on sneak preview, I knew I had to have them! This is my first stamp set I ordered on the RELEASE DAY! Yes, I LUV these lanterns, and seriously, these stamps & paper piercing are Addictive! LOL!! This is my first card. If time allows, I might make more, and if not for this challenge, i'll still be making more cards with these lanterns!! Lanterns remind me of my life in Guam, Hawaii, and another place (I won't reveal here yet!) a lot! Maybe Guam & Hawaii have lots of Asian influence. These were introduced this month because of the inspiration from Chinese New Year, according to the owner of Lawn Fawn. I chose "tropical island" themed papers for paper piecing. I used baker's twine for strings. Wave & sand stamps are Old CTMH. I watercolored the waves. I sponged the white CS with the light blue dye ink. One leave, lanterns and sentiment were attached with dimentional foams. I luv making Tropical feeling cards! Those always make me happy while I'm making them! :-) The challenge details are found at here.

Editor's note : This card was featured by the owner of Lawn Fawn as FIRST Fawny Flikr Friday Five on their blog on 3.4.2011! :-) You can see it here.

Color Throwdown #129 & WMC44

Every time I see these colors (with white or no white), it reminds me of my tropical paradise life... so this is my card for Color Throwdown Text Color(#129)! Also, I'm submitting this card to Wee Memories (#44), for this week's challenge; Source of Inspiration! I get inspired by the NATURE the most, on my cards creation, and living in 2 tropical paradise for 12 years makes me to come up with the ideas with summer/beach/ocean/rain forest... anything to do with tropical islands life, very easily! The picture of the beach is from Guam, USA. So, "the sorce of inspiration" for this card is from my vivid memory of the islands & color challenge at color throwdown blog. For those butterflies, I colored the paper, using brayer with blending blox (multi colored ink pad), stamped the butterfly on the gradated blue card stock with versa fine black ink, then trimmed them. I used my latest addition of sakura glaze pen on those butterflies, here & there after everything dried. I cut & attached the center of the artificial flowers, for the large butterflie's antenas. I used dimentional foam for 2 front Banana leaves. Bamboo frame is Posh Impressions, Butterflies are Hero Arts, Banana leaves are Guam's original stamp company, and the sentiment is a dollor clear stamp from Michaels :-). These colors are really relaxing for me...

Mojo Monday 175

Ok, I miss summer, beach & tropical islands very much, as you can tell & some of you alreaday know... I decided to use these two stamps from Guam for this week's sketch at Mojo Monday. These flowers are named Plumeria and you always see them all over Guam! I saw 11 turtles on the North Shore of the island of Oahu, Hawaii, when I went there for the 2nd time, after I moved there. They come to the shore and I could even touch them because I was so close to one of the turtle! But I was told that it was inhibited. I also saw another turtle overturned by the wave, when it was trying to "climb??" the small rock on the beach. The group of 3 (2 young men & a girl) also saw this turtle, and a man went to HELP it, kind of pulling the turtle's hand, to the ground!! I'm attaching those pictures. We can see Dolphines often in Guam, and I even saw a Baby Shark during the low tide but this was my first time to see the TURTLE in wild, and there were even 11 of them! I counted them! LOL! That was a nice, fun & WARM day... while I'm typing this, Pro Bowl is on TV... they are showing the sites of Hawaii...I lived in Waikiki where I could see Diamond head... two blocks from the beach...To make the turtle's shell a bit real, I used the glossy accent. I attached Plumeria & the turtle with pop up dimentional glue. Good thing that I had this "bubble" embossed CS in my scrap, to use, because my cuttlebug is broken...

Mojo Monday 174 & HM Tea Swap

I really like this weeks' sketch at Mojo Monday blog challenge. I also needed to finish my HM Tea Swap for HM group I belong to, and this is what I made. I've been wanted to use this Cute background paper of "sweets", with my Tea stamp. I adhered glitters around the nestie, inside of the punched tiny hearts on the corner on the front, and flower petals. The main image is attached with pop up glue dots to give a bit of dimention. Inside, I made this pocket using border punches. The buttom of the pocket is a bit open in the middle, because I wanted to give a bit of space in the pocket, so that Tea bag can fit nicely :-)

Lawnscaping Challege #1!

I made this card for new Lawnscaping Challenge. Everybody knows that I never liked Winter but when I saw this stamp in a set called Winter Critter (by Lawn Fawn), I had to have it! LOL! They are sooo cute! After the whole month of December (except 30th & 31st), the ground being covered by WHITE stuff & teens to 20Fs temperature, I really didn't want to make any WHITE card, but the challenge calls for "All About Snow"!! so, after a while of consideration, I made this card. I luv this Bear stamp! This is a Tent Card. This year, i plan to make more 3D shape cards than regular 2 folded card. I drew many dots with quick glue pen around the sentiment, and added glitter. Well, this is my First Post in 2011. Sorry that I'd been rather quiet. I'd been trying to catch up with many things I neglected to do in last 2 weeks after Christmas. Wishing you all the happiness in 2011!! :-)

EIC #113

This week's Etsy inspired challenge is from the Putu Princess Escapes. I hardly make any asian type card but when i found this Posh Impressions' Japanese Stamp set, i had to buy cuz luved Dee's authentic Japanese designs! I was impressed with these designs, and i even e-mailed her husband (who is the CEO at Posh Impressions) through Club posh, and he e-mailed me back, saying that Dee stayed in Japan as an exchange student in her high school years! No wonder! Anyways, i particularly luv this stamp! The small pic. is the one i got inspired from. The carps & flowers are heat embossed. I scattered tiny pearls on the flowers & fern. I used water drop STICKERS all over too. I used glitter here & there, on the Wave design paper. The main image & flowers are attached with 3D glue dots to give a bit of dimention. I also distressed the edges of the main image & background cs, colored with the distress inks.

Penny black Sat. Challenge wk119

This week's challenge is the sketch you see here. I could add MORE of everything on this card, but i TRIED to follow the sketch as close as possible...lol... i used the gel pen to give the shimmer on the ribbon for the gift box. Unfortunately the pic. doesn't show it well...Sentiment & main image were adhered with 3D glue dots, to give both more dimention. i luv PB's cat... it always give me a smile :-)

HM Bookmark Swap

I participated in the bookmark swap at HM yahoo group. On the front, i masked all images, incld. ribbons on the kite string! They are very small to make them as a mask! Then i used my MOST fav. Printworks Cloud template to make billow clouds. I did Paprepiecing on the kite's dots design. That took me a while too cuz some of those paperpieces are teeny-tiny!! I put those tiny pieces to Xyron. I put white flocks on the rabbit tail :-) oh, yes, i had to make 3 bookmarks, NOT only one! On the back, i stamped the sentiment. I chose these colors (light sky blue and yellow), to brighten the recipients day whenever they use this bookmarks! :-) I laminated them so that these will be sturdy. Hope the recipients will enjoy using it in their books! :-) ps. the white spot on the back is the flashlight from the camera, reflecting on the plastic lamination. I took the pic.without the flash but the color was a bit different from the real color, so i had to use this pic. instead...

House Mouse Monday Challenge #77

"Make a Splash!" is this week's challenge, and i thought of this image right away! I don't own this stamp but when i received it from my online friend, THE IMAGE WAS WAITING for me to make a card with it! lol! I used my now fav.Sakura Quick glue pen to adhere the light blue glitter from Stampendous for water from the shower., and in fact, it looks great, better in person! Those "water splashes" are stickers. I bought them to make a scrapbook page that theme was GUAM, to give it as a gift :-) and those were the leftovers from that project. I hardly use Stickers on my cards but this case, i am happy how the card was turned out, using those "splashes" :-)

EIC #103

This week's challenge at Etsy Inspired Challenge is from the Caged Fairy Shop on Etsy. I got inspired by her store more than one. I even wanted to make MORE than TWO, being getting inspired by her things!! Unfortunately i don't have those Trendy OWL stamp... I have seen Alice In Wonderland STAMP collection in online store somewhere but i don't own those either, BUT i thought of Tim Holtz' rabbit stamp when i saw this pendant picture, and i decided to make a card with this pendant in mind, first. yes, i made 2 cards for this week's challenge! :-) When i make cards for "challenges" on blogs, i hardly check what i win, BUT WHEN i get inspired RIGHT AWAY from the themes and pics. , i just make cards! :-) I had hard time, choosing which pic. to pick from this store this week! LOL! I'm uploading 2 pics. for the same card on this post cuz i used perfect pearls, and one card isn't enough to see it on screen... i used perfect pearls on Black background textured paper & around the rabbit on white CS, using the same swirl stamp (Tim Holts also) and same color of perfect pearls; Blue Smoke. I colored the white CS edges with mementos' London fog color. Unfortunately the color isn't that great... the red CS i used, is really a dark Cardinal color red BUT all pics. i took show a bit Orangish color...:-( The ribbon has shimmer in it. I'm not sure when i'll be able to afford a better camera...lol...The Rabbit image was attached using pop up glue dots to give some dimention.

EIC102

This week's Inspiration photo is from Global Child Collection at Etsy Inspired Challenge. When i saw this pic. i thought of my new addition; $1.00 tree stamp! lol! :-) I luv the saying stamp which came with this tree stamp. The tree with the saying image was attached with pop up glue dots, for it to stand out among those 4 tree images.

EIC #101

This is my first submission to Etsy Inspired Challenge. I have a shop in Etsy and i've been following the challenge blog but never had made a card to upload there. (Right now, i don't have anything in the store. I'll upload some pics. by the end of this month though.) Anyways, this weeks challenge is from Lover dover's shop. The 2nd pic. is the one i was inspired by, to make this card. I luv the combination of Red Gingham Check, Black trims, white lace & watermelon!! Very summery, and you all know, i luv to make SUMMER cards, ALL YEAR AROUND! LOL :-) Pop up glud dots were used for the 'hello' tag.

HM RAK to my online club friend

This stamp is so summery, and for a change, it's a happy hopper! This is my first card, using this image, and i luv the way my card turned out. I like the way i ended up doing with the sentiment. That's an open space, and i knew i would put the sentiment but i didn't want it to be just so simple. I was looking at the Polkadots of the kite, and remembered circle punch. I punched a couple from the scrap paper of those two colors i used for this card. I moved around to see what's the best way to put, and this is what i came up with. I'm glad that the recipient liked it :-)

PB swap card to my Online Club friend

I've been wanting to use this image, since this spring! I found a bit distress polkadots lime green paper recently, and since i had similar color gems, flower, & ribbon, i decided to make THIS card. I've been recently enjoying doing some "mosaic" on the back ground layered papers. I distressed a bit around the edge of the main image too.

Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge #148

I just had fun making this card! For the tea cup & tea pot, i did Paper Piecing! I think these came out cute! :-) And the strawberry icing on chocolate doughnuts! Yum! I had only ONE doughnut stamp so i did masking, making into two doughnuts. Looks MORE yummy! lol! All stamped images are heat embossed, and put 3D glue dots to give some dimentions. ... i forgot that i can make more than one loop ribbon, using my new bow-easy! , so i made 3 loops! LOL! This card ended up looking more whimsical than my ordinary cards. oh, i HANDDREW the team from the tea cup! Very Fun Sketch!

Clean & Simple #99 Challenge

I bought this Really Nice/realistic Cockatoo stamp at the stamp show, and have been wanting to use it! :-) And i had this woodgrain ribbon in stock, to match the branch :-) I used 3.5 x 6" as this sketch's original size. It's kinda nice to make a card other than 4.25 x 5.5" regular size, for a change :-)
