"SEA" you soon!

Aloha~

I must love this sketch! ๐Ÿ˜„This is my 3rd card for the challenge! Again, I used it sideways. I don't think I ever made three cards for a challenge, esp. in August, which happened to be the busiest month for my card making! Anyways, so, not only I love the sketch but also love this NND's paper pad! As I mentioned before, I was surprised to see many more NND stamp supplies than I ever thought I had! lol ๐Ÿ˜…Here is my card.

Inky Paws Challenge: Inky Paws Challenge #243 Week 4

So, actually I had the recipient in mind when I decided to make another card for the challenge. My BFF from college years which means, like more than 40 years(!) are coming to Hawaii with her husband of 29 1/2 years next month! She's been here in 70s' with her family but it's the 1st time ever for her husband! So, this is the inside of the card.

I love the pun! ๐Ÿ˜„The "Aloha" stamp & Hawaii Nei stamp are from the local stamp company.

Finally I WILL be able to start making "Halloween" cards. lol I got myself some Halloween stamps and dies, and I've been itching to use them! lol How about you?

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great week! Love, Eve

Happy Birthday #3!

Aloha~

Finally I could use this cute cupcake die from Pretty Pink Posh! In fact, I looked for a background paper for birthday card first, and I found this paper with lots of candles! I've never used this paper before. So, I started to design the card from that paper. The sentiment is from Waffle Flower.

Inside, the sentiment is from Pink Fresh Studio and mug cup from Echo Park. The recipient is in Coffee card swap group, so I "added" extra to the original sentiment.

I hope that you all had a great weekend! Honolulu was busy over the weekend, including the annual event, Made In Hawaii. I mailed this card only on last Thursday, close to the closing time of nearby USPS. Friday was Hawaii statehood day and it was a local holiday when Made in Hawaii event had started, so long weekend for Hawaii. Then, the recipient posted that she received this card.... Already??!! She lives in central PA, NOT even on the west coast! That's one of the fastest mail delivery I can remember!

Happy Birthday!

Aloha~

I made this card for one of my "coffee theme card swap group". I've been trying to use something I bought in the past, but haven't used them yet... sounds familiar?! LOL, we become "shopaholics" & "hoarders"! ๐Ÿ˜…. Anyways, I feel satisfied to use these "quilt" theme supplies, finally!

Well, I found out today that the recipient's birthday was 3 days earlier than the date I thought...oh well ...

It's been hot here in Hawaii, with the high of 90F and low of 79F. Stay safe, from wild fires, floods to bad air. Thank you for stopping my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Happy First Day of Spring! ๐Ÿ’ฎ

I'm sending this card to a birthday lady in my coffee card swap group.

I recently purchased the newly released stencil & die set from Waffle flower. This cupcake looked so yummy and wanted to use it right away. ๐Ÿ˜ŠI made a dozen die cuts with the cupcake images in different color combinations, and from there, I started to make a card. I often use color yellow for the cards I make for April. Her birthday is in the beginning of April. Here is the card I made.

I wanted to include a special sticker sheet and didn't wanna fold it, so I made a Slimline card. It fitted perfectly with my card.

Inside, I stamped a sentiment stamp from MFT, and added extras, using the stamps from Honey Bee stamps, the Greetery and Stampendous!

How's the first day of Spring look like in your area?
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Weekend is almost here! Love, Eve

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aloha~

Sorry to hear that some of you got lots of snow yesterday... I started to feel a bit of cold breeze in the air here, too. Definitely winter is coming....

This card is for my BFF.

Again, I used several different company's products; scarecrow image is from Lawn Fawn. I'd been looking for "my favorite kind" of scarecrow and I found this one a couple of months ago from Lawn Fawn's new release. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers. Pumpkin dies are from Spellbinders. Puffy clouds are stickers from Concord and 9th, the banner die is from Lawn Fawn, hill and stitched rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things, and layering paper is from Sunny Studio.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Less than a week to Thanksgiving. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Eve

Happy Birthday!

This is the last birthday card this month.

I wanted to use my new Hero Art's fancy die. My design started from there. I used "sandy" paper from my stash, stamped the Waffle Flower's sentiment. I love this font as if it was written on the sandy beach! I used the MFT stamp's stitch frame for the whole front. I noticed that I've been using this frame die often.๐Ÿ˜Š I stamped the ocean stamp from Papertrey Inc. The puppy on the float, both stamps are from Sunny Studio. I'm a cat person and I think this is the only dog stamp I own, but the recipient loves dogs, so I chose this stamp. The sun, the clouds and seagulls stamps are from Lawn Fawn.

Hope you are having a great week! If you are in heatwave area, please stay safe and stay hydrated! Here in Hawaii, a couple of storms coming this way, from Sunday... two already got their names; Hone & Gilma. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Happy Birthday to my BFF!

Aloha~

It's been a while since I posted last. I've been very busy. Anyways, I finally finished this birthday card to my BFF from college.

I really wanted to use this sentiment, and I started out to make a front design, from the sentiment. I used Kuretake watercolor paint to handpaint the background; Sky, Ocean and the sandy beach. Then I used the stamp of Essential by Ellen for the waves but after the ink drying, I used Uniball white pen to go over all the stamped wave images. I found a couple of stamps to make some sandy beach from Lawn Fawn. I had some stickers from Japan for the seashells and starfish. I elevated the seagull's part, using the foam tape.

Heat waves everywhere. Stay safe and stay hydrated! Thanks for stopping my blog today! Love, Eve

Happy New Year! #3 (for Coffee card swap)

Aloha~

I love this postage dies and stamps. I also used stamps and dies from different companies, 7 companies to be exact, from stamps, dies to stencils to finish the front panel!

It's hard to see it in the picture but I cut the top part, after I made the whole front panel before attaching it to the card base, because, in person, I felt that 2/3 of the panel "looked" heavy with all those die cuts. I used the foam tape to give a bit of dimension to adhere the top part to the card base in the end.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Stay safe & stay warm!

Love, Eve

Happy Thanksgiving! 2022

Aloha~

Ok, Thanksgiving day has come and gone. I've been quite busy, and, I forgot which website I used, to place "watermark" on my photos, and it took forever to find it! lol I've used other photo shop site for several years til they stopped, and I had to find another one. I did, but back in July and for the last couple of months, I didn't post anything, and I totally forgot the website! ๐Ÿ˜“Anyways, now, I found it, and I can post my "watermarked" photos! So, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day!

I made two cards this year, using the same technique but used different papers and colors. This big die and other extra dies are all from Hero Arts, their monthly kit of May, 2022. I liked the "white" all around, and water colored a little.

Now, I will not forget the website of placing watermark.๐Ÿ˜…

Hope you are having a nice weekend, probably, everyone is busy! Nearby mall was packed today! Thanks for visiting my blog today! Hugs, Eve

"Coffee card swap" for September

I got this PSL idea at the end of August but I had too many "ideas" in my head... when that happens, it takes more time to finish the card. ... Anyways, this is the card! I love the font style of Sunny studio's alphabet dies. I "cut (!)" a sentiment stamp in half to get "'Tis the season for" only. I know I would be using this part a lot and this would be easier to ink and stamp. Pumpkin images are from Waffle flowers. Coffee cup dies are from Lil' inker designs. Papers are from Sunny studio and Pebbles. The base card stock is from Lawn Fawn, "canned pumpkin" color. Trying to match the "stitched" pumpkin images, I used MFT's stitched frame die for the card front. Glad that Lil'inker design's coffee sleeve die also has "stitching" to match!

Inside, the sentiment is from the same stamp set of Art Impressions. I attached the scrap paper from Sunny studio on the bottom.

I love PSL. Even I've lived in Tropical islands for many years, I still find PSL to be a comforting drink for me ๐Ÿ˜Š How about you?

Hope you are having a nice week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
