Congratulations!

On your new job!

My best friend got a new job. Woohoo! She's very excited! She'll leave the current job next month and will start the new job within a week.

I heard this news when the TV news had started to show Cherry blossoms in D.C. It's the thing there this time of the year. I had this beautiful paper in my stash, used it as the background paper on this card. No, I didn't make this beautiful paper. lol This is from one of the old calendars from Japan a couple of years. ago. When I find some beautiful papers, either from the calendar or wrapping papers, I trim the beautiful parts which I think I can use on my cards in the future, and keep them. I want this card to be simple, and wanna mail it asap. In Japan, April is the start of the school year as well as the businesses. Cherry blossoms can be seen across Japan from late March to mid April. New job, April, Cherry blossoms in D.C. are the inspiration of this card. Oh and she is from D.C. area. I die cut big sentiment 3 times to give a bit of interest on this card.

It's kinda hard to take a picture of the card front when there is a shiny design, and this case, all the "shiny" gold. ...there is no black on this card front. Darker shades on motifs are in shiny gold.

When I can't decide which color goes the best, I have to try them all. Also the color combination of two sentiments. Those gradation of pink I used is from Lawn Fawn's paper pack, which already has some gradation. I just used the fav.part of the gradation for the big sentiment die.

Hope you had a nice weekend, found some time to make some cards 😊 In Hawaii, it was a Prince Kuhio Day (state holiday), and it was a long weekend!

February Coffee Card

 Aloha~

This is the Coffee card I made for February swap for the group. Someone mentioned in the past that she expected "warm" breeze from the card I make, in her winter weather before, so I made this card. Hope the recipient in Illinois will feel the warm breeze! I used Newton's Nook designs' stamps to create the scene. It is the Diamond head in the center, and plumeria flowers I "no outline" colored with color pencils.

By the way, this mugcup die is new. In 2000's, I remember I drew this kind of cup, cut it from the card stock by hand, using a scissors. When Trinity stamps made this die set for purchase, I was so excited but had to wait for Black Friday sale. 😉 I'm so happy I have this die now and the shape I die cut with the machine is perfect than the one I drew and cut it by my hand! 😄

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are having a nice week! Love, Eve

3 Coffee cards, to start the new year!

 Aloha~

I made these 3 cards in January, all 3 for different reasons but the recipients are all in the same coffee card group on FB. Yes, I'm behind to post these as usual.. lol..

I love these coffee stamps from Lil' Inker Design! I can "customize" them a lot! 💓

Wishing all of you the MUCH Happier 2021!!!

Coffee card swap for December, 2019

Here is my card for December coffee card swap.

I was inspired by the santa's sleigh die from Poppy stamps, which I bought from BF sale in November. I stamped Altenew small snow background stamp 4 times, heat embossed to make the background.I had the travel mug cup die but not the buckle, so I drew it on the gold paper, and cut it with the scissors. lol. When I do something like this, it makes me feel good, remembering the good old days of rubber stamping/making cards. Things in the market were much limited back then compared to the recent market, so we improvised! That was fun! Stamping/card making is evolving..

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Halloween! #1

Aloha~ I barely made two Halloween cards this year. Having a full time job limits the time for card making... This is for my godmother. This year, I've decided "cute" for Halloween 😊 I used the orange craft foam to give a bit of dimension under the white front panel, rather than placing all the foam tapes for small individual designs.
I'm going to enter this card to LFawnatics challenge~Bling it out. When they introduced the new sparkle cardstock, I knew what I was gonna use it for. 😊 All colors in this cardstock package is so beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Have a fun & safe Halloween! 🎃Eve

October Coffee card swap

Time surely flies. It's already October, and made this for the monthly swap.

All stamp images are from Lawn Fawn's new stamp set. The leaves are also Lawn Fawn's. This time of the year, Pumpkin spice is the thing in US. Since it's the swap for the month of October, I combined the image for the Halloween but not all the people enjoys Halloween, and I have no clue what kind of person the recipient is, I played safe 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Happy Valentine's day! #3 & #4

I made two more Valentine's day cards, one for my godmother and one for my best friend from college, as I always do 😊

I used Lawn Fawn stamp set and outside in stitched heart die and WeRmemory keeper's 3D embossing folder. I used foam adhesives for most of the stamped images, to give a bit of interest.

I used Lil'inker Designs Latte stamp set. As soon as I saw the stamp set a couple of months ago, I had to have it! lol 😊 Valentine's day sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I used outside in stitched die for the heart, and small heart dies and sentiment die are from My Favorite Things. I used 3D embossing folder from WeRmemory keepers and used nuvo drops randomly, to give a bit of shimmer.

Hope you are having a nice week! Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

Happy Valentine's Day #2

This is to my dad in heaven. These two kitties are "father & daughter". 😊
A friend from my "house mouse family"(!!) recently sent me a package of goodies for my birthday. That had this Kitty with the heart die. I don't know who makes it but I love it!
I used Lawn Fawn's outside in stitched heart die and used WeR memory keeper's 3D embossing folder for the rectangle panel. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I used the stitched banner die from MFT stamp's blueprint die set for the sentiment, attached it with the foam adhesive to give a bit of dimension. It's a rather clean card but it's for my dad. He knows how much I love and miss him, without having too much embellishment. 😊

Hope you are having a nice week! Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Valentine's day #1

Lawnfawnatics challenge is this Inspiration board. I needed to make a coffee theme swap card for February, and since I love Lawn Fawns' coffee stamp set, I combined the challenge with coffee theme 😊

I received this LOVE with 3-boxes die from one of my friend in my "house mouse family" (!!). Perfect timing, for Valentine's day theme! All stamps are from Lawn Fawn. I have this stamp set for over a year, and I love it! I used Lawn Fawn's outside in stitched heart die and used another paper to inlay inside of the heart cutout. I used WeR memory keeper's 3D embossing folder for the inlaid pink heart. I used glossy accents for the coffee beans, a tiny heart inside of the bubble speech, coffee & three brown hearts on the coffee cup. I used the champagne colored ink for the steam, and wink of stella for three red hearts on the spoon. oh, I used a stitched rectangle die from MFT stamp's blueprint die set. I love their blueprint die sets! They always come in handy! This card shows the love for Coffee, and, for Valentine's day! 😊 💕

When Feb.1st comes, I'm mailing this to my swap partner whom I don't know yet. Since February is the HEART month (!! ðŸ’•), I decided to add a lot of hearts!

Hope you are having a nice weekend! Thank you for stopping by my blog today!

2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop #3

Update : Well, I missed the link up time by probably, 1 min.! So you can't find this card in the blog hop list..lol... I designed a card, using this stamp from Honey Bee ("Tea Time") for sure, but as I moved along, my head started to shift and ended up something totally different from what I initially designed! And that's why it took forever to finish this card, and mised the deadline... oh well... at least, I celebrated "international Tea Day", while making this card! 😊

It was really hard to take a picture to show the simmer on the steam, snow bank, sequins, and even the snow on the trees. It's more shimmery in person. The front panel was lifted by a piece of white craft foam underneath. In window shills, you can see "white" (craft foam) but I did it on purpose. Now it looks like the accumulated snow on the each window shills outside. I used Tim Holtz stencil to make a paper, and paperpieced it for this teacup. This is my newest addition to my stamp collection, and I really like this MUG type tea cup after years of using 'traditional fancy tea cups" on my tea cards! When I live in the place where there is a cold winter, this is the type of mug cup for tea to warm myself up, after getting up in the morning. Those fancy cups are for Tea Time for me 😊
Tea cup ~ Honey Bee (Tea Time)
Trees ~ Inkadinkado
Sentiment ~ Lawn Fawn
Window die & border stitch die ~ My Favorite Things
Snow bank stitched die ~ Lawn Fawn
Steam die ~ Lil' Inker Designs
Kitty die ~ Impression Obsession

It was a very fun blog hop! Almost 1,000 entries for the blog in one week!

I'm submitting this card to SSS ~ Monday Challenge (Christmas/Winter holidays) & SSS ~ Wednesday Challenge (Stitch it!)

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope y'all are having a nice weekend!

Christmas #2

Hi! When I read the theme of "Furry Friend" at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, I had to use this kitty from SSS, from their Halloween set! I love cats, and altho I love Tabby (orange cat) the most, my first kitty was Siamese. I used foam tape to elevate the front panel, to give the center design a bit of room because of the little bell this kitty is wearing, since I'm mailing this 😊
I love the stencil from TH, and used the texture paste over it. I DID add glitter afterwards but the picture just can't capture that well...

Cat ~ Simon Says Stamp
All other stamped images ~ Lawn Fawn
Background panel ~ Tim Holtz

Finally I'm starting to feel Christmas..
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice Thanksgiving~EVE!

It's Meow-lloween!

This is probably my 2nd time to buy A Card Kit in my over 25 years of stamping. I don't find interesting to use a kit when I'm creating, but this one, as soon as it was released, I placed the order! 😊 Except the big sheets of holographic stickers, I love them all, and I knew I could use them all.

I used WOW "Glow in the dark EP" for the 1st time. Fun! The "fun swirly night sky background paper through the window" had a price tag on the back of this paper and the name of the stamp store. It was the store which closed over 13~14 (?) years ago, and the price was 75 cents for 12 x 12. Never used it, just "hoarded"! hahaha It was time to use! 😊 Some people don't like the black cat, so I used medium grey paper for a kitty. A kit comes with the die for this image 😊 I found another "oldies", the little witch shaker piece. It was the perfect size! I also bought a pack of Halloween postal stamps (the real one from USPS) and didn't use it at all last year, but this year, I'm using them!
And this is how it looks in the dark. You can see a bit of stamped image in the natural lighting on the card. Cool, huh?! I love it!

I'm submitting this to Simon Says Stamps Limited Edition Halloween 2017 Card Kit gallery. This isn't a challenge, just a gallery. And, to Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge~A Walk on the Dark Side.

Just realized. In US, it's a long weekend! (Columbus Day). Hope everyone is having a relaxing (& long if you are in US) weekend. 😊

Happy Halloween

My first Halloween card this year, altho, I forgot to post, and now I'm posting it, after already posting 3 Halloween cards! Sometimes, you forget that it's a "draft" and hasn't "published" it yet...haha...

I did shaving cream technique, to make a a "spooky" background. The sentiment is elevated with foam adhesive, and heat embossed. I used the wink of stella on the spiderweb to give the shimmery look. I used Uni gold pen on bat's eyes. Another "spooky" details. 😉

Happy Sunday evening, everyone! 😊

March Birthday card

I know, it's already April... but I've been making cards, and haven't had time to upload them, so little by little, I'm uploading those I've made and sent out.

I used Hero Arts Stencil for the background. "Happy Birthday" saying die is from LawnFawn. This was sent to my friend in House Mouse group. It was a long way to get delivered but those little sequins survived on "rough mail ride"!

And this is inside of the card.
The image is from House Mouse designs, too but used their bear, Gruffies stamp. Saying is from C.C. Designs ("Birthday's"). Never heard of this company before, but when I was browsing Joann.com's page online, I found it. They are red rubber only stamps set.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card :) Happy Easter!
