Coffee card for September swap

Aloha~

PSL season has arrived! Yaaaas! πŸ˜‹So, this is my card.

I love this stamp set from The Greetery. I fell in love with the argyle pattern paper which Honeybee stamps released very recently, and I had to use this particular paper for the card. I first layered the background papers, and then, I designed and chose the stamps for the front. Usually it's other way around, but I really love this paper and other papers in that paper pad! The sentiment on the top is from Sunny Studio stamps and I layered it over the die cut without the sentiment. Other sentiments are from Art Impressions.

First day of fall is just around corner! Happy Fall, y'all!

Coffee card, Nov. 2022

Aloha~

I was a day late for the deadline to mail my swap card but I did, and this is my card. I really love this stamp set from MFT! Although I love living by the beach, fall and PSL always remind me of "woodland"! I water colored the oval die before placing those animals, holding hot coffee in the "sweater weather"! Then I attached tiny gingko stickers from Japan. The background paper is from Newton's Nook designs. I loved the sentiment stamp from Art Impressions.

Have a great week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Now, time to start making Christmas cards! Hugs, Eve

Coffee card, Oct.2022

Aloha~

My October "swap" coffee card was delayed due to my trip, and I finally made and mailed it early in November.

I fell in love with this stamp set as soon as it was introduced, back in September, but as soon as I received the set, I had to leave and no time for playing with it til I came home. What a beautiful set from The Greetery! And you all know that I always look forward to PSL season, so this was a must have and yes, this is the card I made!

I heat embossed the sentiment. I also used the Greetery's Coaster die, which I love. I used the papers from Lawn Fawn and Sunny Studio.

Well, my most fav. season went by so fast, esp. me travelling. Have a nice week! Not too cold nor too much of snow wherever you are, so that you can prepare for Christmas!! πŸŽ„Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Coffee card for the swap of "Aug.& Sept. combined"

Aloha~

PSL season has arrived! Hallelujah! In fact, I didn't plan to make this card in August but later, these two months got combined, and now it's THE season! I've been "obsessed" with papers, esp. for this fall lately, which many stamp companies have been releasing, MORE than stamps and dies! LOL When I saw the Newton's Nook designers paper pads, I had to get them all, 3 of them, even I hardly ever buy anything with dogs. I love dogs but I'm a cat person and don't have much chance of mailing dog's cards. But, I bought the dog's one, too, cuz I thought they were adorable! lol

Now, the paper I fell in love with is this PSL paper, and I wanted to use it right away!

The kitty stamp is also from Newton's Nook designs. The sentiment is from Art Impressions. "PSL" die cut is from Sunny Studio. I love the font of these dies. <3 I couldn't decide which die to use for the main image, and I decided to use both! The paper and the paper behind the sentiment is from Sunny Studio. Plastic pumpkins were buttons. I removed the shanks.

Inside, I used my fav. sentiment stamp from Art Impressions. I used the steam stamp from Lawn Fawn. The travel cup is the die cuts from Lil' Inker designs.

Hope y'all are having a great Labor day weekend. Love, Eve

Coffee Card Swap ~ November, 2021

Aloha~
This is the card for November. Although it's still hot in Hawaii, the place where the recipient lives is getting cold, so I used Concord & 9th's Turnabout stamp to make the background with sweaters in it, as well as mug cup with steam. For a change, I used Gina K's orange colored paper instead of "white" card stock. The sentiments and mug cup dies were heat embossed with Tim Holts' Distress glaze. I love this product! When it first came out, I made some swatches, but NOT for the colors, but the inks underneath of the glaze. Most of the inks underneath have bled, from a little to a lot. For black, I really don't like to stain my clear stamps but Ranger's archival jet black works the best.

Inside, I looooove this fox stamp! I used it two years ago, and I had to use it again! There are other animals in this stamp set but I've only used this fox stamp! lol I love coloring the stamped image with colored pencils when the background card stock isn't white/cream, so that's what I used. This is my 3rd PUMPKIN SPICE themed cards this fall! lol YES, I LOVE PUMPKIN SPICE for fall! πŸ˜‹

Hope y'all are having a beautiful fall!
A little early but Happy Thanksgiving!

Hugs, Eve

Coffee card for November swap 2020

This is the card for the November swap for Coffee card group on FB. I loved this fox design last year when it came out and waited this summer to purchase. Now time to use it! I used water color brush markers to color. I used the papers from Sunny studio.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a nice Christmas week! I know, this post is late. I forgot to post it. haha...

Coffee card for November swap

Aloha~
I love Fall. Ok, we don't have REAL Fall where the leaves change colors but now we can feel "cold" in the air. Ok, our "cold" here doesn't even change the colors of leaves. .. lol. Anyways, my most fav. season in Virginia and the surrounding states.
Simple layout & design but the card gives the "cozy" feeling, thanks to this leading lady stamp set from Ellen H. I made a little slit above her cuff to insert two take out coffee cups. "One for me, one for YOU!" 😊
Here is the inside.

I can't believe November is half way through... Thanksgiving is a week away, and Christmas is a month away, then, 2019 is right around corner... most busy season for us, cardmakers & crafters!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend, getting crafty!

October Coffee card swap

Time surely flies. It's already October, and made this for the monthly swap.

All stamp images are from Lawn Fawn's new stamp set. The leaves are also Lawn Fawn's. This time of the year, Pumpkin spice is the thing in US. Since it's the swap for the month of October, I combined the image for the Halloween but not all the people enjoys Halloween, and I have no clue what kind of person the recipient is, I played safe 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend, everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving! #3

Thanksgiving day is almost here, in US. People who could take a long week off might've arrived at their families and friends this weekend...

This is my #3 & the last Thanksgiving card this year. I received this Indian girl stamp from my stamping friend some time ago, and wanted to use it, and send the finished card to her 😊

I used Lawn Fawn's birch tree dies, and inlaid onto the front panel. All leaves I used on this card were cut by Lawn Fawn's STITCHED leaf dies. The sentiment is also Lawn Fawn, on the gold vellum, to be able to see birch trees behind.

I'm submitting this to Simon says Stamp Monday challege for the theme, "It's a stitch up". I love these stitched leaf dies. Those stitched lines give a bit of life on the paper.

Hope y'all are having a relaxing weekend, getting ready for Thanksgiving day!

Happy Thanksgiving #2

My 2nd Thanksgiving card this year. I used this SU! stamps which I never used til now... the box says 2000 release, so, I probably bought it around that time. It's a stamp set and comes in a plastic container. The container was yellowed after 17 years of the release, but the wood mounted red rubber stamps are intact! These are the kind of stamps I just love to "decorate" my craft space with. 😊

Water coloring has been a trend for a while, and like this, background brush strokes. I combined old with the new, and this is rather clean card I made for my non stamping friend. All leaves are heat embossed in gold over the background coloring. Since these leaves are beautiful as the way they are, I wanted to show the stamped images as much as possible, and came up with the idea of using vellum for the sentiment, and used the short sentiment, too, to not distract the whole image. That's also the reason I used thin colorless twine on the bottom. Same reason for only two sequins. I used a MFT's stitched banner die, to give just a little bit of interest. I used "Rose Gold" embossing powder for the sentiment. It's kind of the thing at the moment, and several stamp companies released this beautiful color for EP.

I'm submitting this to SimonSaysStamp Monday~Thanks/Thanksgiving challenge

Have a nice day! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Thanksgiving! #1

Update : This card was shown on Lawn Fawn's Fawny Flickr Friday blog. 😊

Finally I had a chance to use this Lawn Fawn's new set, which I bought back in August when they released many amazing stamps and dies. I hadn't had new stamps for Thanksgiving for some years, and this was the perfect for my card I envisioned! And the set was meant to make this "feast table", which I miss, every Thanksgiving with my godmother and her family in VA. Beautiful sky and so many colorful leaves in the scene of Thanksgiving day. This is def. my Thanksgiving day with them, in Virginia! And my most fav. holiday of all.😊

I fussy cut all the stamped images, colored them all. The most tiring process was the leaf! I used one of Lawn Fawn stand alone leaves die set from a couple of years ago, the smallest leaf. I ran through cuttlebug 36 times (to get 36 leaves!) from different "pearlized" card stock I "hoarded" for several years (from Joann or Michaels...can't remember). 6 different colors. The hardest (time consuming) was to place them in the perfect position. The tree stump ("feast table"), mushrooms "chairs", and animals are attached with foam tape, to give a bit of dimension, so leaves had to have foam as well but not all of them.

First, I placed them, took the picture on my cellphone, and started to build up. I used Xyron sticker maker, Ranger's multi medium matte finish liquid adhesive and foam tape, depending on where to place them. In the middle of the process, I changed some positions of leaves. I'm content with how it turned out. The perfect image of my Thanksgiving Day in VA 😊 πŸ‚ πŸπŸƒπŸ‚πŸπŸƒ
The sentiment is the new die from Lawn Fawn, too. I made it into a banner, making it looks like tying to the trees 😊 Of course, I had to have a cardinal in this scene. I miss seeing the cardinals, too...

I'm submitting Simon Says stamp/Monday challenge. Also uploading it in Lawn Fawn's Flickr Friday.

Hope y'all are having a nice week!

Let's toast!

I made this card for my friend's birthday, who moved to CA, far away from here... 😒

I really like this Lawn Fawn's stamp set. Well, I love "roasting marshmallows" (or just marshmallows! 😊 ) "Roasting marshmallows" remind me of "fall" in western PA. To me, it's a "Fall" thing. πŸ‚πŸ
The leaves are also from Lawn Fawn. I used the clear nuvo drop for dew on the leaves.

Congratulations to Astros fans. I don't follow MLB but I know how you feel, a little, being a die hard fan of a sport team, and they won this year (but we won last year, too... ) 55 years is a long wait.... Enjoy the celebration!

"Fall Color" Birthday card!

Hello!
The birthday of my friend in House Mouse group is coming up. I checked with HM challenge. One of DT at House -Mouse & Friend Challenge made a birthday card in fall color, and I decided to do the same 😊

I chose this image, as if those mice are heading to my friend's birthday party! πŸŽ‚

I used Lawn Fawn's background die to make the swirls on the background paper. Fall can be very windy, sometimes! I used LF's birch tree die and stitched leaf dies, cut them out, and distressed them. I wanted to give a bit more texture on the leaves, so I heat embossed, using the clear EP. I love the way they turned out 😊

This is the inside. I used this stencil, just inking the "plate" and "chocolate cake", added white embossing to the icing and candle parts, and used stickles for the flames. I used the wink of stella to give shimmers to all the confetti and ribbon but it's hard to tell on the picture. This mouse is also heading to my friend's birthday party! πŸ˜‰ I stamped "party mouse" on the envelope, gave the shimmer to the hat also. It's now ready to be mailed!

I'm submitting this to House Mouse challenge #252

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend! Thank you for stopping by my blog today 😊

Happy Little Critters!

Update ~ This card was featured on the challenge, and I received this badge from the challenge. woohoo!

This stamp set was released in summer, 2014. Ever since, I'd been wanting it esp. when the fall came, last 3 years. Finally I got it, and found the time to play. 😊 "S'more" is American invention which I love, although its real origin is unknown, but has been very popular at camp sites in US, since 1920's according to Wikipedia. You can have S'mores throughout the year, but to me, it's a "fall" thing. 🍁

I made this card for my friend's birthday. Also, I'm submitting to Lawn Fawnastics Challege #14 ~ Happy Little Critters. I love animals, and Lawn Fawn's critters are my favorites!

Hope you all are having a nice Sunday evening.

Coffee, anyone?

"Little bird" told me about this blog hop, only two days ago. Theme is "FALL". I decided to participate.

Here is my card.

I love dark hot coffee, no sugar nor cream, in chilly morning in the fall, in the east coast of US. I used stitched edge dies, stitched line border die, "next level" embossing folder, to give the warmth and cozy feeling to my card. This card is made of all different companies' products! Water coloring has been a thing for a while, and I just brushed the background to color white card stock. I made so many "coffee sleeves" from all yummy designer's "fall theme" papers, because I had a hard time choosing! I have so many trimmings, and this textured ribbon is one of them, from years ago. There is a bit of gold shimmer on it. I thought it would look great on this card.

I used to drink DD coffee on my way to work but now, I brew Starbucks coffee at home every morning πŸ˜‹

Have a beautiful day!

Happy Thanksgiving

I made some Thanksgiving cards and a "fall" card, using Lawn Fawn stamps and stitched leaf dies.

Except the tree and tiny maple leaves, all images are Lawn Fawn's new stamp sets. I colored them all with watercolor pencils.

I made this one, for a Male friend (pictures show the front and inside) Wanted to make it rather simple cuz it's for a guy but he is the one who uses smiley emoticons, I used those little faces on a couple of apples and a couple of pies. I used watercolor pencils, too, to color.

This card is a little different. (the pictures show the front and inside) The recipient is in Japan, and they don't have Thanksgiving day, but the country changes its colors to "the fall" with so many trees and leaves (esp. maple leaves), I made this card, using Lawn Fawn's "stitched leaves dies". I enjoy to see beautifully "colored" maple leaves in the fall. In a little circle, on the left corner, I wrote "fall" in Japanese.

The last card is very similar to the first card, but colored them with Prisma colored pencils. I also ran out of the background paper, I used different one, and it was rather simple, I adhered some maple leaves in different sizes.

I love making fall cards! as long as time allows... I have so much design in my head when it comes to the fall/Thanksgiving cards.. but now, I have to start making Christmas cards before too late.

I'm submitting a card to Lawnscaping Challenges.

Hope you'll all have a happy Thanksgiving and travel safe :)

Thank you card for World Cardmaking Day Challenge

at Lawn Fawn blog. The challenge is to make a Thank You Card, and send it to someone, so I made this card, and will mail it to my best friend from College. The sentiment stamp is from Lawn Fawn, of course (:-)) and tiny maple leaf is from their new halloween set. I luv this little stamp! It's so small but it became in handy, and I know I'll be using it often! :-) The sentiment is attached with pop up glue dots for a bit of dimention. I distressed the edges of the front panel and inside of the scalloped heart, with the mix of those distress inks I used for maple leaves. Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today! Hope you all had a great World Cardmaking day & weekend! :-)

Back to School~Tilda Version!~

This time, I made a card, using Tilda, for "back to school" challenge at Totally Tilda challenges, Stamp Something, and PaperPlay. Also at Magnolia Stamp Lovers, they are running the challenge of "Primary colors". I used Simon Says challenge's sketch. I cut the 'school' theme paper which I found at nearby scrapbooking store. It's been hard for me to find school 'related' things for my card, but I found this 12 x 12 BoBunny's paper, cut the part where there was a school building. I stamped the sun trimmed, to fit in that frame. I punched out a cloud, distressed the edge, and adhered it in that frame. I cut the yellow with grid lines part from the same paper, used the border punch, to follow the sketch, and for the sentiment. I attached those with pop up glue dots to give a bit of dimention, and then I cut Tilda out, and adhered her with pop up glue dots too, to give even more dimention. I used 1/4 of this 12 x 12 paper where the design of Blackboard was. I punched tiny holes, to use twines. I used uniball Signo white pen to draw stitches around the sentiment & side scallop border. On that same paper, I saw the math problems as its design. I DREW exactly the same way as the desgin, with unibal Signo pen. Surprisingly the WHITE color became soft PINK on this black background! lol So, I used sakura white opaque gel pen to draw the stitches around the blackboard. :-)

I luved school. I wish I was Tilda, going back to school! LOL School was Really FUN! :-)

Simon says...

"Let it snow!" That's the challenge at Simon Says Challenge this week... again, this isn't what i want to say, but the challenge is called for it... and i made it... lol... yes, we already had our first snow, but it was a very light snow, very early in the morning, and dissappeared like sands... This HM image is just like here in western PA... still see the leaves & had a little bit of snow... I put Glitters in the center of all snowflakes but it doesn't show on this pic. much... and also on those dotted lines. The sentiment is from Mary Engelbreit ink. I've also drawn the veins of the leaves in copper color gel pen. That doesn't show much either. So, in person, this card looks much more shimmery! lol :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!! from House Mouse :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!! I made this card for my House Mouse friend, Mary Ann. She sent this image to me! :-) So, i made a Shaker card with it, and mailed it back to her! :-) You can see those leaves are the ones which is in the shaker box. The leaves move. I also punched out those leaves on the other side of the inside of the card and have drawn the veins with the copper gel pen. I used cuttlebug embossing folder and have drawn some veins there too. The cornucopia is an old Darci's stamp. Hope you'll all have a great thanksgiving!!
