Christmas Card #7

Merry Christmas Eve!

This card is for my BFF who loves baking! Mrs. Claus is from Purple Onion designs. I colored her with copics. All baked goods are from Honey Bee Stamps. I used nesting die from Spellbinders, cut it in half for the base of the baked goods. I used papers from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Queen & Company kit. I added two snowflake stickers from Japan.

Inside, I stamped "half" of the sentiment stamp from Sunny Studio. Once again, I used the gingerbread house dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I added epoxy stickers from Doodlebug designs on the roof for a little fun!

While I prepare for posting this, I'm also tracking Santa & his sleigh. It shows the numbers of gifts he dropped! He's been super busy!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I'm almost finishing my Christmas cards for this year. Tell the truth, I wanna keep going, making Christmas cards! I'm really in the mood! lol ...  Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Aloha~

I made this card for my godmother's birthday. Recently I bought Lawn Fawn's balloons stencil, and wanted to use it. I love this stencil. Lately many companies make stencils but, like 3 in a pack, 4 in a pack, and they become pricy. This stencil is great! Just one, so, the price is good. I also bought small blending brushes which comes in 3 "smaller" sizes than the ones I already own. Using the smallest blending brushes, these confetti coloring was a breeze! And, I didn't have to use "post it notes" to cover other places! I just love these 2 of my new crafting products! I used Lawn Fawn's watercolor paper. I used Lawn Fawn's sentiment stamp, heat embossed in their rose gold embossing powder. Since I'm sending a gift as well, I decided to make this card a bit larger than normal 4.25" x 5.5". I used Lawn Fawn's shimmery pastel pink card stock, and stripe paper from Lawn Fawn's 12"x12" paper pack. After I finished the front, I felt like I needed something more, and attached some "shimmery" embellishments, randomly.

Hope you are having a great weekend! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Hoppy Easter & coffee!

This is the card for April at Expresso Yourself - CLP FB group. I just love this bear with, esp. the bunny ears! It always cracks me up! 😁 He decided to bring Coffee instead of eggs for Easter. πŸ˜‰ I colored them with Copics. All stamped images are from 3 different stamp sets of Essential by Ellen. Three designed papers are from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. HOPPY Easter!  Love, Eve

Happy Holidays ~ #1

LOL, well, Christmas has come and gone, ... a month ago! I did make a couple of cards but I was super busy at work. Due to "ongoing pandemic", work made me even more tired in holiday season. I finally found some time to upload my cards... Hope y'all had a much better "holiday season" than I had. 😊

This card was for my Godmother.

Two years ago, I purchased this house die set, and made this card below, but this year, I purchased the "gingerbread house add-on" die set and made this card above. I put some paste on those yummy gumdrops to look little more realistic to the regular card stock. I would've put glossy accent or something on the berries but I found the paper which gives that similar effect, so I die cut that paper with the berry die.

I love this house die!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! And, Happy Australia Day to Aussie friends!

Coffee card for October swap

Aloha~

This is the "coffee card" for the October swap.

I already had this idea when I was making last month's swap card, it didn't take that long to finish it. Only the problem I had was to make a slimline card and have a die cut on the front panel because I only have a regular size die cut machine. So, I had to make the front first and attached it to the card base. Since I decided to do so, I used another color/kind of card stock for the base. But I also didn't want the color of card base to show from the "windows", I attached lighter color card stock for those "windows" first. So basically I have 3 layers for the front of the card, with the look of the one layer. lol. I wanted the tone on tone for the front and I used my NEW versa mark ink! Oh boy, I had my versa mark ink pad for over 20 years (since they first introduced!), and have been reinking it but I just thought it was the time to buy a new pad, and I'm glad I did! Sometimes, just buy a new tool, even the one you have isn't broken, you can tell "new" tool (this case, new ink pad) would do a better job! 😊 Those leaf stamps are from Concord & 9th. The actual leaf die cuts are from Lawn Fawn. As I mentioned in my last blog post, I used "Tis the season for" again. Those cute moose and a fox with coffee cups are from MFT. Oh, and that little pumpkin which I fussy cut was one of the images I had for maybe 20 years...? and I believe it's from CTMH.

Inside, I stamped MFT's pumpkin, and stamped the Art Impression's sentiment over it.

I love when I finish the card with the idea in my head, Quick! lol

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Tomorrow is "World Card Making Day" but I'll be working...πŸ˜‘ Hope you can enjoy the day of card making tomorrow!

Coffee card for monthly swap April 2021

Aloha~

This is the card I made for April for my Coffee card swap group on FB. Most stamps are from LF, and I colored them all with Copics. The bear on the screen doesn't hold a cup, so to make the theme to be "coffee", I looked for a perfect size cup image stamp from my stamp collection, masked and stamped. That tiny cup belongs to Miss Ink stamp set. I also masked the sentiment in the picture frame, so that I could stamp the hibiscus from Hero Arts, to give a little touch of Hawaii/tropical Island.🌺 I love doing something a little different, and doing so, I spend time to look for a perfect match, mostly size and sometimes the design. When I find it, I get excited! lol The fox stamp is from LF but from a different stamp set. Background paper is also from LF. I used Wink of Stella shimmer pen on the steam from coffee but very hard to see.. The sentiment which I heat embossed is from Neat & Tangled stamp set. Even in pandemic, we can have a coffee time with friends, thanks to the technology! πŸ’»Can't imagine the people's lives during the last pandemic which is Spanish flu..I used the foam tapes to the fox and the pile of books to give the dimension to the scene I made. Also I used it to the sentiment strip.

Hope y'all are having a wonderful week! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hugs, Eve

Happy Easter #1

 Aloha~

I'm a bit ahead of time, making cards this year. 😊 This card is for my Godmother. This looks rather simple but to finish it, it took a lot of time, changing my mind, one after another. Only things I wanted to use was my new die of large cross and lilies. After arranging the die and the stamps, I realized that I needed to make a larger size card instead of regular 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. First I cut Lawn Fawn's yellow shimmer card stock for the base. Then I cut the Lawn Fawn's white shimmer card stock on the front. Then I cut the cross from different kinds of gold papers. I chose this most glittery paper cut. Sometimes I can't tell which goes the best, and I had to cut them, and place them before choosing one. When I placed it on the white shimmer card stock, it didn't look right, and grabbed the Lawn Fawn's sun beam paper. But then, with the yellow shimmer card stock on the base, it didn't look nice.. so I started to make lilies. Sometimes when I get stuck and don't come up with the perfect solution, I just forget it and do something else. 😁 For this card making, I focused making lilies. These lilies look kinda natural but to make it natural, with "layering stamp set", that was a bit hard. Later, I thought to myself, maybe I should've water colored the outlined lilies.. lol.. I needed to mute it down after stamped some layers, so I used distress ink/picket fence all over the lilies. It worked quite nice! For pollens, I remember Jennifer McGuire used embossing powder, but it didn't work well for me in my head, but she inspired me to use something gold, and I used gold uniball pen to just make dots, and it worked great as I imaged in my head. I fussy cut two lilies. The sentiment stamp is from Vivid Jungle from Guam, USA, from like...20 years ago! Red rubber stamp rocks! πŸ‘ I attached it with the foam tape for a dimension. When I was trying to come up with the idea of "muting" the lilies, I thought of "vellum". I didn't have to use it but I had it in my hand, and voila! I used it under the front paper, and it worked as I imagined how it looked. I'm really happy with this card although it took a long time to finish it!

So, when I found the right thickness/color of vellum, I realized I had several different colors of vellum!! I think back in early 2000's, the vellum became a trend, and I "collected" different colors, and still have most of them, except the white I sometimes use. I bet some of you also still have those beautiful vellums in different colors in your stash! I should start using them! ... somehow... πŸ˜„

3 Coffee cards, to start the new year!

 Aloha~

I made these 3 cards in January, all 3 for different reasons but the recipients are all in the same coffee card group on FB. Yes, I'm behind to post these as usual.. lol..

I love these coffee stamps from Lil' Inker Design! I can "customize" them a lot! πŸ’“

"Happy thoughts" Take 2!

Aloha~
So, after making another card, I still have some paper background paper left, stamping Concord & 9th turnabout stamp, I got this design using this scrap and other scraps right away! I think it came out pretty well, using all those scraps! lol I sent this to my former boss. She lives in Hawaii also, and she loves the 'tropical designs".
I took the picture of the card I first made with this new card. You can see when I said I used the scraps! Whenever I can use up the scraps and still make good cards, it's very satisfying! lol
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! "Sending happy thoughts" to y'all!  Hugs, Eve

"Sending Happy Thoughts"

Aloha~
When I made a coffee card for May Swap, I enjoyed using Turnabout stamp from Concord &9th, and I made another background, using the same stamp.

My best friend's daughter came home from her first year at university late March and never went back due to the semester closure in person. She missed some weeks in fall when she started her 1st year in college due to her illness. So she missed more than other freshman school mates. Her mother mentioned she felt a bit down more cuz she was an only child. I can really relate to that. So, I decided to send this card to cheer her up a little. This card turned out to be a very cheerful card! I received a thank you e-mail from her. The photo doesn't show well but the base and yellow card stock are shimmery card stocks from Lawn Fawn.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be safe, stay well. Hugs, Eve

Happy Easter!

Well.. a week delayed post. I'm sure that most of you "went" to Easter Sunday Service online...

This is the only Easter card I made this year... I just wanted to say "Blessings" to my godmother in this unsettling time.. Made it very simple. Shimmery card stocks, background paper & glitter paper are all from Lawn Fawn. Love using these colors this year for the Easter card. I die cut the sentiment from one of my packaging of Lancome cosmetics I keep! They come in gold, antique gold, silver, black, coated black, and so on. I keep them for mainly die cutting since the paper I could use are not that large, cutting off the original wordings of Lancome.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Stay safe!

Coffee card swap for January, 2020

Happy New Year, friends!!

Now, I'm finally catching up to post my cards! πŸ‘
This is my coffee card for this month! Actually Hot Chocolate card πŸ˜‰

This is a good combination of things I got in last two years. Girl's stamp set is from Concord & 9th. I received "Tintables card pack" which is the watercolor papers with pre-printed white designs, as freebies. I simply water colored the background paper. I used Lawn Fawn papers from last year (2018) to die cut the gloves & hat, using Sunny Studio dies which I purchased in 2018. The sentiment is MFT.

The recipient is in Michigan, so probably it looks like this there now.. It's been a warm winter, and here in Oahu, you don't see this scene but in another island of Hawaii where there are high mountains, I heard that they had their first snow some weeks ago.. today's high was 79F πŸ˜‰

Coffee card swap for May 2019

Well, this is my Coffee themed card for May swap, but forgot to take a picture.. Glad the recipient posted the picture in our group so that I can save. :)
I was happy to find this ribbon, matched colors of this card, in my ribbon stash! :)
Love this new stamp from Newton's Nook design!
This is what I feel every morning! lol :)

Updated : So, I forgot to upload the inside of this card. I tried to match the design and the color to the front. Here it is.

Coffee card swap Jan.2018

I joined the coffee card swap group for 2018. This is my first card. The recipient is in NJ, and east coast of US has recently experienced the Bomb Cyclone! It dropped to - 3 F (MINUS 3 F!) one morning in Virginia! That doesn't happen quite often in that area. Apparently US is having a cold winter, esp. at east coast. I thought I would send "WARM" wishes card to her. 😊
So, first, I stamped a BIG cup! LOL Then, I stamped a kitty stamp on it. I love kitties, and this is from one of my newest stamp set. I stamped steam with versa mark, dusted off with perfect pearls. I stamped "wood grain", lightly water colored. I used MFT stamp's sun ray stencil for the sun, and after coloring the stencil, I used wink of stella pen to give some "shimmer" to the sun rays. It's kind of hard to tell in the picture. I colored the BIG coffee mug with the same color as the stripe designed background paper from Lawn Fawn. Basically, I made a card for her to feel the warmth, just looking at it, in this cold winter. .. 😊 Hope I'm succeeded...πŸ˜‰

My new little succulent is in the back....

I'm submitting to SimonSaysStamp Wednesday blog challenge ~ Add a sentiment

Hope y'all have started a nice week. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. If you are having a cold winter, stay safe & warm!

Merry Christmas!

This is my last Christmas card/ornament. The end has to be with my "coffee" stamps 😊 (and Hot chocolate! πŸ˜‹)
I used glossy accent for all the hearts & coffee beans for shiny look. I found "Merry Christmas" in gold color in my confetti stash. The picture doesn't show it but I used Gelly Roll pen for the steam.

Stamps ~ Lawn Fawn
Ornament dies ~ My Favorite Things
Paper ~ Lawn Fawn
Sequins ~ Simon Says Stamps/ "Mocha Java"

These stamps are my favs, and use the set a lot, all year around, me loving coffee/hot chocolate/tea 😊 The set was released for the winter, tho, and I don't use the sentiments as often as I use other stamps in the set. At Lawn Fawnatics challenge #19, they are running the challenge of your fav. Lawn Fawn stamps, so I snuck this little one there. lol

Hope Santa has brought you something nice & crafty this morning, if you are already in the morning of 25th, and for others, tomorrow morning!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
Blessings!

2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop #2

National cocoa day celebration took place under Coffee Lover's blog hop, and it was on the 13th. I finished this card a day and half later. lol, but I couldn't pass the opportunity to "honor" the National Cocoa day! Although I currently live on a tropical island, the average temp.of 83F all year around, when "winter" comes (meaning, December!), my head tells me to drink hot cocoa! And of course, at the grocery store, they ship those (seasonal food and drinks) from US mainland, according to the calendar, NOT the temperature! Just like October to November, we see pumpkins in the grocery store, and this island doesn't produce pumpkins at all! lol!
Anyways, this is my card. Since I still needed to make more Christmas cards, I combined the hot cocoa with the Christmas theme. Inside, it says "for a happy holiday"! I imaged the ornament, hanging in the Christmas tree but I didn't have pine needles die, so I used the closest image die I had. Rather a simple card, but "faux stitching" both inside of oval shaped paper & rectangular paper give some interest on the card 😊 Entry #843!

Hot cocoa & the sentiment ~ Lawn Fawn
Wonky oval die, Stitched rectangular die (from Blue Print #20), the handle die of the ornament (from Tag builder Blue Print #6) , Leaf die ~ My Favorite Things
Papers ~ Lawn Fawn

One more day for the hop, and the last day will be celebrating International TEA day!

Thank you for stopping by my blog in your busy days. Only 10 more days to Christmas! πŸŽ„
Have a nice weekend!

2017 Winter Coffee Lover's Blog Hop! #1

Finally I found a time to make A card for my fav. Coffee Lover's blog hop! Since I still have a couple of Christmas cards to make, I combined coffee stamp with "Warm Wishes" sentiment for the holidays 😊 This goes out to my friend who also loves kitties. 🐱 Entry #650!
I couldn't resist, paper piecing the entire outfit (incld. socks!) of "Cozy Lady"with "Cozy" looking papers 😊 I love this Christmas tree stamp, the kind of Christmas tree I usually get 😊

"Cozy Lady" ~ Essentials by Ellen
Christmas tree ~ Impression Obsession
Kitty die ~ Impression Obsession
Sentiment ~ My favorite things
Design papers ~ Lawn Fawn

I'll try to make one or two Coffee (or hot cocoa, Christmas) related cards before the last day of this blog hop.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a nice day!

Coffee, anyone?

"Little bird" told me about this blog hop, only two days ago. Theme is "FALL". I decided to participate.

Here is my card.

I love dark hot coffee, no sugar nor cream, in chilly morning in the fall, in the east coast of US. I used stitched edge dies, stitched line border die, "next level" embossing folder, to give the warmth and cozy feeling to my card. This card is made of all different companies' products! Water coloring has been a thing for a while, and I just brushed the background to color white card stock. I made so many "coffee sleeves" from all yummy designer's "fall theme" papers, because I had a hard time choosing! I have so many trimmings, and this textured ribbon is one of them, from years ago. There is a bit of gold shimmer on it. I thought it would look great on this card.

I used to drink DD coffee on my way to work but now, I brew Starbucks coffee at home every morning πŸ˜‹

Have a beautiful day!
