Coffee card for the card swap in August 2025

Aloha~

This is the swap card I made for this month. It's an "Iced Tea/Boba tea" card. I recently found a great buy at Echo Park website for the layered frame die set. It pURRfectly cut Newton's image! The designed papers are from Newton's nook also. The sun die cut is from Concord & 9th. The sentiment is from Pink & Main. Oh, the "sunburst" die all over the front panel is from Concord & 9th, too.

So, inside, you wonder why these two boba teas...? Well, the sentiment happened to say, "Cups", so I just added to make it more than one in the front of the card. lol Those are from Lawn Fawn.

Maybe I'll make a couple of more Summer card before shifting to "fall" theme, if I find time. Summer is always busy for me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

Aloha~

I made this card for one of my "coffee theme card swap group". I've been trying to use something I bought in the past, but haven't used them yet... sounds familiar?! LOL, we become "shopaholics" & "hoarders"! πŸ˜…. Anyways, I feel satisfied to use these "quilt" theme supplies, finally!

Well, I found out today that the recipient's birthday was 3 days earlier than the date I thought...oh well ...

It's been hot here in Hawaii, with the high of 90F and low of 79F. Stay safe, from wild fires, floods to bad air. Thank you for stopping my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day! #2

Aloha~

Here is my 2nd St. Patty's day card (for my godmother). I used the same Waffle Flower's Paw dies for this one, but in orange cat color, remembering her first kitty from over 40 years ago. But orange kitties have been my fav., too. ever since I was a kid. And it was rather fun to make this card cuz of it!

The sentiment & the background paper are from Lawn Fawn and the 4 leaf clover is from Concord & 9th, watercoloring.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are having a nice Sunday, despite of 1 hour less sleep in US this morning... Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day #5 (still continues...)

So, is there anything, like Happy BELATED Valentine's day...?! πŸ˜†
I ended up super busy yesterday and didn't have time to upload more Valentine's day cards although they were sent out/given already yesterday, on time! Anyways, Hope you all had a "Sweet" Valentine's day yesterday. πŸ’–

Here is my #5 card.
I used Lawn Fawn's mail box dies from several years ago for the focal point. I started out from there. I used a background paper from my stash of papers, cut out the big heart and attached to the Lawn Fawn's paper after using Concord & 9th clouds die. The winter bird stamp is Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Altenew, heat embossed in white EP.

Inside, I used another winter bird stamp from the same stamp set of Lawn Fawn, and LF's sentiment stamp.

I have two more Valentine's day cards to share today.

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Christmas card #4

Aloha~

When you think of shaker cards in winter, you have to make a snow globe, right?! πŸ˜€

The dies and clear dorm are from My Favorite Things. The church scene in the snow globe are made from Lawn Fawn's stamp set. I used the snowy scene stencil from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th, using the die cut out from Lawn Fawn. Those snow flakes around the sentiment are the stickers from Japan. I used the stitch die from Lil' inker designs on the card base.

I stamped this sentiment from Sunny Studio stamps inside of this card.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Red flag warning is effect til tomorrow across the state. Hope everything will stay ok... and hope everyone is ok in US mainland, esp. from that big snow storm which hit the east coast recently.. stay safe! Love, Eve

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aloha~

Sorry to hear that some of you got lots of snow yesterday... I started to feel a bit of cold breeze in the air here, too. Definitely winter is coming....

This card is for my BFF.

Again, I used several different company's products; scarecrow image is from Lawn Fawn. I'd been looking for "my favorite kind" of scarecrow and I found this one a couple of months ago from Lawn Fawn's new release. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers. Pumpkin dies are from Spellbinders. Puffy clouds are stickers from Concord and 9th, the banner die is from Lawn Fawn, hill and stitched rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things, and layering paper is from Sunny Studio.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Less than a week to Thanksgiving. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Eve

Happy Halloween #2

Aloha~

Can you believe that Halloween is coming up soon?? You would think that it's a month away, but before you know it, it'll be here! lol πŸ‘»

This is the card for my BFF, who grew up with dogs but after the marriage, almost 30 years ago, they decided to rescue kitties, due to their work schedule. Ever since they always have kitties. Anyways, I used the cross stitch chart and the dies from Lawn Fawn. Black cat's faces are Washi tape which I never used as a part of the design before. I like how it turned out.😸 I used Lawn Fawn dies of spider webs, new Simon Says Stamps bat dies, and the background was done, using Concord & 9th stencil. And, I love the sentiment on the front! lol

I also decorated the inside of this card, with all stamps from the same stamp set with the sentiment on the front ~ Fun Stampers Journey stamp set which I bought from Spellbinders website a couple of years ago. I just stamped inside and heat embossed with fine white embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday!

 Aloha~

This is the birthday card I made for my godmother. I used things from more brands which wasn't my intention but just looking at it again, I did use from several brands. I started out with my new addition of tulip dies from Concord &9th, and newly released paper from Craft Papers, which I spotted in Simon Says Stamps April release, Taylored Expressions, Lawn Fawn, Spellbinders, Honey Bees stamps and Pink Fresh Studio!

I really like how this card turned out, for her.

This was my 3rd try of uploading, due to the "brightness", but for some reason, it doesn't get "brighter". But in real life, it is "brighter". lol, esp. the white woodgrain part, definitely whiter. lol, but you got the idea of the design. 😊

I usually don't decorate inside but when I couldn't decide what colors of tulips and how many I wanted to place on the front of the card, I ended up with this red tulip, so, I decided to add that inside under the sentiment. And, I tend to place more things on the card when I need to send them in a package, also, cuz of no extra postage fee! πŸ˜‰

Hope all of Moms out there will get pampered tomorrow, which they well deserve! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Coffee card for April 2024 card swap

Aloha~

This is the card I made for Coffee card swap group for April.

I've been really wanting to use my new addition of coffee mugs background stencil from NND. I colored them in different colors, and on different card stock but for this month's card, I decided to use this one for this swap card. I also wanted to use my new addition from C9's dies. It became kinda fun card, in my opinion😊I used Echo paper's sentiment stamp. I used the little puffy white star stickers from C9 from last summer release. At last, I used the brown twine to finish this card.

"Coffee is always a good idea"! To me, "Great" idea! LOL

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a great weekend!

Best wishes!

Aloha~ Hope your new, short week has started out well. 😊

This is the card for my BFF's daughter, who's got her first career job after graduating from college a couple of months ago, and relocating to Africa! πŸ… When this set from Concord & 9th came out in July, I thought of her right away and bought it. I wanted to "customize" for her and I chose the animals paper from Echo Park. As I made, I noticed a couple of things and I had to adjust it, to work well on this card, like the "windows". The stamp is a simple night sky image, and I wanted to give a bit of impression when she opened the windows, so I attached the stickers. Oh before doing so, I used two different card stock to see which card stock grabbed the ink well and get the better result. I got good result from both card stock, but when I tried to this design, it was easier to move the window shades, if I used the lighter card stock. Also, I attached some stickers from Concord & 9th which I bought with the dies and stamp sets. I elevated the panel more than initially I planned cuz of those stickers.

You can see when the windows are closed and when they are opened.

I still see the heat wave across US on weather forecast. Please stay safe! Here in Hawaii, I have started to feel a little "fall" in the breeze, despite of the high of 90F every day.

Coffee card for August card swap

Aloha~

It's been really hot here. So, that thinking led me to make this card! I've been drinking Iced Coffee and Iced Tea a lot cuz it's been HOT! I used Lil' Inker's coffee/tea stamps with ice cubes and straws. I used glossy accent for the straws. I had "lemon slices" embellishment, so I cut it in half, attached them in the tea cup. I used the Whimsy stamps Ripple's Die. This die really need a pressure to cut it, and still I need to snip some parts... but love the design! I used Hero Arts water ripple's stamp in the center. I used Sunny studio's alphabet dies for spelling "HOT", and used Concord & 9th's "summer" stamp. I finished off with a couple of sequins to give a bit of shimmer on the front.

Inside, I wrote, "Iced Coffee?? Iced Tea??"

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Have a nice weekend! Stay hydrated! Hugs, Eve

Coffee card for March, 2023

Aloha~

This is my March card for "coffee card" swap group. March always makes me think of St. Patrick's day and green. But, I had to make it for "coffee themed" card, so here is my completed card.

I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamps, using three different green colors, Concord & 9th's girl, drinking coffee and a small sentiment from the Greetery. I added a couple of embellishments.

Inside, I used this saying, and added COFFEE. lol

Hope you had a happy, St. Patrick's day yesterday!
Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

My 1st Christmas card...

I wish it was still in early December...In November, coming home from the trip was delayed by 10 days and was delayed making Thanksgiving cards... then, I caught a cold... so, yes, this is my 1st Christmas card...πŸ˜“

Here is my card for my godmother, using my new Concord & 9th addition!

Most of this card was done with Concord & 9th and various card stock. I used Echo Park papers, which also had a Christmas star & stars. After finishing the card, I used Ranger's stickles to give it a shine. I often keep the package of skin cares, and this, "a little dull" gold card stock for the crescent and the sentiment came in handy. I die cut twice for manger and Joseph & pregnant Mary, to give a bit of dimension, to give a bit of "closer distance" compared to the building dies in the back.

I hadn't used this Echo Park paper pad for 2 years? But I saw this sentiment in this paper pad. It matched to the front sentiment! So, I used spellbinder's frame die to cut that sentiment, and placed it on the gold paper, to place it inside of the card. I used "Blessings" die from Hero Arts to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Merry Christmas! Love, Eve

Coffee Card Swap ~ November, 2021

Aloha~
This is the card for November. Although it's still hot in Hawaii, the place where the recipient lives is getting cold, so I used Concord & 9th's Turnabout stamp to make the background with sweaters in it, as well as mug cup with steam. For a change, I used Gina K's orange colored paper instead of "white" card stock. The sentiments and mug cup dies were heat embossed with Tim Holts' Distress glaze. I love this product! When it first came out, I made some swatches, but NOT for the colors, but the inks underneath of the glaze. Most of the inks underneath have bled, from a little to a lot. For black, I really don't like to stain my clear stamps but Ranger's archival jet black works the best.

Inside, I looooove this fox stamp! I used it two years ago, and I had to use it again! There are other animals in this stamp set but I've only used this fox stamp! lol I love coloring the stamped image with colored pencils when the background card stock isn't white/cream, so that's what I used. This is my 3rd PUMPKIN SPICE themed cards this fall! lol YES, I LOVE PUMPKIN SPICE for fall! πŸ˜‹

Hope y'all are having a beautiful fall!
A little early but Happy Thanksgiving!

Hugs, Eve

Happy Birthday to a Coffee lover!

Aloha~

I made this card for a birthday girl in our FB "Coffee card" group.

I was actually making a similar design INSIDE of another card, but thought, Hmmm... I CAN make another card with this design, so I did! Most of the stamps are from Concord & 9th but I also used two stamps from a local brand. On the back of the package says "Designed in Hawaii. Made in China". They are not high quality photopolymer clear stamps but thanks to Misti, I can stamp a couple of times to get better impression, and I can also use markers to fix it if the stamp images aren't great. I don't think they make dies and I fussy cut the hibiscus on the mug to make it as the design of the mug. Again, I used a couple of mug dies to make it pop instead of the foam tape, because I couldn't decide which color card stock to make this mug design on the front. Not to mention, if you have round designs on the dies, it's harder to cut foam tapes. I colored palm tree and hibiscus stamps with markers to stamp.

For the background papers, I really love this brown shimmer card stock from Lawn Fawn, and this is the left over from a card I made back in January and wanted to use it. The diagonal stripes background is stamped using Pink Fresh studio back ground rubber stamp. The trend for stamping for last 10+ years are clear stamps but I love rubber stamps when I find a good design 😊

Well, the inks I used for those stripes are something I had for like.. 20 years! You might know and remember "Kaleida color ink pads"! This inkpad line is probably my most favorite. I bought this Cappuccino delight ink pad, USED from a stamping friend 20 years ago. I haven't used it often and still inked pretty well! Back then, "ink blending" wasn't a thing but this pads gave us a chance to stamp, similar to the recent "color blending".

At last, it was time for me to finish this card, and placed the base cardstock inside of the new Misti. Someone did this to make it easier to line up. I had to make the top panel closer to the right hand measurement, and aha! I could layer it to the side, not center, as I planned and always did! So this is my final card. I love "aha! " moments when I make cards! It's more fun! lol

"Happy thoughts" Take 2!

Aloha~
So, after making another card, I still have some paper background paper left, stamping Concord & 9th turnabout stamp, I got this design using this scrap and other scraps right away! I think it came out pretty well, using all those scraps! lol I sent this to my former boss. She lives in Hawaii also, and she loves the 'tropical designs".
I took the picture of the card I first made with this new card. You can see when I said I used the scraps! Whenever I can use up the scraps and still make good cards, it's very satisfying! lol
Thank you for stopping by my blog today! "Sending happy thoughts" to y'all!  Hugs, Eve

"Sending Happy Thoughts"

Aloha~
When I made a coffee card for May Swap, I enjoyed using Turnabout stamp from Concord &9th, and I made another background, using the same stamp.

My best friend's daughter came home from her first year at university late March and never went back due to the semester closure in person. She missed some weeks in fall when she started her 1st year in college due to her illness. So she missed more than other freshman school mates. Her mother mentioned she felt a bit down more cuz she was an only child. I can really relate to that. So, I decided to send this card to cheer her up a little. This card turned out to be a very cheerful card! I received a thank you e-mail from her. The photo doesn't show well but the base and yellow card stock are shimmery card stocks from Lawn Fawn.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Be safe, stay well. Hugs, Eve

Happy Birthday!

The recipient is my godmother. Plants are calming, esp. in this unsettling time.. I found this plank background paper in my stash! I can't remember when I bought it.. it must be many years ago... it's 12 x 12, never have used it! I usually make "birthday" themed card, like birthday cakes, balloons, etc, but in this "unprecedented time", "calming effect" type of card would be nice, too, I thought.. besides, all business are closed in her state and her being in "vulnerable" age category, she can't go out to celebrate...
Hope y'all are staying safe & well!

Coffee Card Swap for May

My May swap recipient lives in Canada. We are still in unsettling time.. when I saw the stamp set I bought and haven't really used yet, I thought I would use this, to send "happy thoughts"! I enjoyed Concord & 9th turnabouts stamp set! Very tropical. Perfect to send my card from this tropical island. 😊🌴
Sometime I get asked whether I drink Iced coffee only since it's always warm here. I love hot coffee all year around. Most places indoor here has A/C. I only drink iced coffee when I feel hot, like going to the afternoon shift, esp. in summer time. How about you?

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice evening!

Coffee card swap for January, 2020

Happy New Year, friends!!

Now, I'm finally catching up to post my cards! πŸ‘
This is my coffee card for this month! Actually Hot Chocolate card πŸ˜‰

This is a good combination of things I got in last two years. Girl's stamp set is from Concord & 9th. I received "Tintables card pack" which is the watercolor papers with pre-printed white designs, as freebies. I simply water colored the background paper. I used Lawn Fawn papers from last year (2018) to die cut the gloves & hat, using Sunny Studio dies which I purchased in 2018. The sentiment is MFT.

The recipient is in Michigan, so probably it looks like this there now.. It's been a warm winter, and here in Oahu, you don't see this scene but in another island of Hawaii where there are high mountains, I heard that they had their first snow some weeks ago.. today's high was 79F πŸ˜‰

Thank you for stopping by my blog today!
