Coffee Card for January swap

Happy New Year!

This is my first card of 2025. Starting out with my fav. mice seems right, to start the new year.

This card is pretty much self explanatory. I colored the image with copics but the outside is colored with the mix colors of watercolor mediums. I used Tonic's nuvo paste for the snow outside of windowshill. I made it looked like a gloomy day but I used snowflake stickers (muted color paper stickers, not shiny ones) from Japan, in different colors, so the whole image became a little warm & cheery! My recent purchase is from Honey Bee's nesting dies, and I really wanted to use them, and I did, even for the shape of the card😊

Inside, I used Lawn Fawn's sentiment. I added coffee bean "washi tape" type stickers, also from Japan.

I wish you all a great 2025!

Birthday Card for Coffee Card swap group #2

Aloha~

This is the 2nd birthday card which I made for this group, with my newest HM addition! Love this stamp! I colored them with Copic markers. It's hard to tell on the picture, but I used Wink of Stella on the "steam" images. I used Altenew die for the sentiment. I also used Lil' inker Design's frame dies for the orangish yellow card base and on the white card stock.

It's been a quite month, around the world. I'm ok, if you haven't heard about the brush fires in the state of Hawaii, esp. in Lahaina, Maui. Please stay safe, my friends! Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Hugs, Eve

Coffee card "EXTRA"

 Aloha~

This is an "extra" card to go with my "care" package. A Coffee card swap group member suffered a big damage to her new home from Hurricane which hit her "new" place directly. I'd been thinking about her ever since, and some months later, she posted a picture of her new kitchen. So I'm sending her some coffee from Honolulu! I made this card, to enclose inside of the package. At first, I didn't really think but then, when I was going through my "stash", I found this HM image, already stamped on watercolor card stock. When I buy a new stamp, esp. if it's a large design like this, I usually stamp a couple times for the future use, so that I don't have to clean the stamp each time. And it hit me, this is perfect! I'm sending 2 bags of coffee from Honolulu! And, it came to my mind, "ENJOY" as a sentiment to use, so I browsed my sentiment collection and found this "ENJOY!" from Honey Bee stamp set. Perfect! I want her to enjoy these coffee!

Inside, I stamped the sentiment from old company, Lil'Inker Design. I thought this sentiment was also perfect for this "care" package!

The box I used to ship is from Kauai Coffee company. In November, I ordered some coffee from them, online cuz I couldn't get the flavors I wanted, on Oahu, only on the island of Kauai, and perfect fit for my gift!

I'm glad she is back with us. 😊

Hope you are having a nice week! It will be a short week πŸ˜‰

Merry Christmas #4!

Aloha~

This was my #4 Christmas card to another card maker, who also loves House Mouse. I used the water color paper, and colored with Prismacolor pencils. Sometimes, it's relaxing to color with colored pencils. I cut out the sentiment and the design with a circle die from designer's paper, attached it with the foam tape. I die cut and placed the berries and pine needles on the branches. I cut thin strips from gold colored paper.

Inside, I stamped my new house mouse stamp and the sentiment, again, colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

Sorry for delayed posting for Christmas.
Hope y'all are having a nice weekend! Hugs, Eve

Happy Valentine's day!

I made this card for my card swap group for February. The theme is Coffee & Valentine's day. Then I remembered HMFMC#309
The main image and sentiments strips are attached with foam tape to give a bit of dimension as well as the same height of the heart shaped gems (better for mailing). I tried two different times & days to picture my card but for some reason, it looks "whiter" than in person.. but here it is, anyways.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice evening!

Christmas #3

This is my new house mouse stamp which I won, from Stampendous. I really needed a new HM Christmas stamp! I love the stamps which has the house mouse and the bird. In fact, this bird is the one I had when I was in the kindergarten ... I miss him...
The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I used the score board, to give the embossed lines on the green card base to give a bit of interest.

I'm mailing this to one of my "house mouse group" friend. 😊
Also I'm submitting this to the House Mouse & Friends Monday challenge. 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog in your busy holiday season.
Hope y'all are having a great weekend!

Happy Christmas Card day!

Update : This card was selected in TOP 3. 😊

Yes, I just learned while I was trying to upload this card for the challenge at House Mouse Monday Challenge, the theme of Birthday in December . I know another lady who has a birthday this month, and she happens to love House-Mouse 😊

I made a similar card a couple of weeks ago, using Tim Holtz stencil on the background panel, using texture paste, with some glitter this time, on a little lighter color textured paper. I love this stencil! The sentiments are from Altenew. The cupcake is from Stamps by Judith. I made a chocolate cupcake for her, with a cherry on top! πŸ˜‰

I'm also sharing this at SimonSaysStamp "Christmas Card Day " blog post. I'm glad that Sir Henry Cole (1818-1874) of England created the first commercial Christmas cards in 1843! So that we, the card makers enjoy creating Christmas cards! 😊

I still have several more Christmas cards to make...

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Hope y'all are having a nice weekend!

"Fall Color" Birthday card!

Hello!
The birthday of my friend in House Mouse group is coming up. I checked with HM challenge. One of DT at House -Mouse & Friend Challenge made a birthday card in fall color, and I decided to do the same 😊

I chose this image, as if those mice are heading to my friend's birthday party! πŸŽ‚

I used Lawn Fawn's background die to make the swirls on the background paper. Fall can be very windy, sometimes! I used LF's birch tree die and stitched leaf dies, cut them out, and distressed them. I wanted to give a bit more texture on the leaves, so I heat embossed, using the clear EP. I love the way they turned out 😊

This is the inside. I used this stencil, just inking the "plate" and "chocolate cake", added white embossing to the icing and candle parts, and used stickles for the flames. I used the wink of stella to give shimmers to all the confetti and ribbon but it's hard to tell on the picture. This mouse is also heading to my friend's birthday party! πŸ˜‰ I stamped "party mouse" on the envelope, gave the shimmer to the hat also. It's now ready to be mailed!

I'm submitting this to House Mouse challenge #252

Hope you all had a relaxing weekend! Thank you for stopping by my blog today 😊

Trick or Treat!

Update : I won the challenge with this card. πŸ˜„

I've been wanting to use this stamp and finally the time has come!
When I saw the title of the challenge which is "I can see right through you", I thought of shaker card right away, looking something "through" the opening in the card. I love making shaker cards, even I'm not really into "interactive" cards which has been a trend these days in the card making world, except, the shaker card! I'm submitting this to the House Mouse challenge #249.

It's kinda self explanatory but the story is "Muzzy thinking Mudpie ate all the candies in the trick-or-treat bag, having his footprints coming and going out. Of course, Monica in that hat may have one or two hidden her mouth".😁 I didn't color Mudpie cuz he is in Muzzy's thought, except the pink tongue I drew. I tried to show "deliciousness" with that pink toungue! πŸ˜„ Since candy corn buttons had more "height" even after removing shanks, I had to attach two foam tapes together to give more height than usual height of just one, for the front panel to attach. I usually place more shaker pieces but since I wanted to show Mudpie's image more, I didn't, but when I shake it, those all pieces shows 😊 The Bats image is from Lawn Fawn, and the sentiments are in one red rubber stamp, from Uptown Rubber Stamps/Holly Pond Hill, but inked them, used them separately. The company is long gone but I've had this stamp for more than 12 years :) I still love it!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

Christmas in July!

ok, so July has come and gone, and now it's already August!...but I started to make this card IN JULY :)  And I'm submitting this to HMFMC#246  which started in late July, which gave me an idea, because I was planning to send this friend a little gift, hoping for her to make a use of it for her fav. day coming up. And her birthday is Dec.24!

For both circle frames were given elevation as well as the sentiment and "Chef Amanda" mouse with the foam tape to give some dimension. The sentiments in both circles frames were adhered without the foam tape.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. Have a nice evening!

"Let's get some berries!"

This week's challenge at HMFMC is "Let's get some berries". I have a friend in our House Mouse group, who's birthday is coming soon. I recently received a new stamp set from Altenew. I wanted to combine them all. :)  Here is my card.

I wanted the strawberries to be the "present", so I "wrapped them with a ribbon"!

Hope your week has started off well :)

March Birthday card

I know, it's already April... but I've been making cards, and haven't had time to upload them, so little by little, I'm uploading those I've made and sent out.

I used Hero Arts Stencil for the background. "Happy Birthday" saying die is from LawnFawn. This was sent to my friend in House Mouse group. It was a long way to get delivered but those little sequins survived on "rough mail ride"!

And this is inside of the card.
The image is from House Mouse designs, too but used their bear, Gruffies stamp. Saying is from C.C. Designs ("Birthday's"). Never heard of this company before, but when I was browsing Joann.com's page online, I found it. They are red rubber only stamps set.

Thank you for stopping by to see my card :) Happy Easter!

Happy Easter! #1

Hello. Easter is almost here. "Happy" time of the year. Spring, Flowers, ...and FOOD?! Well,I'm submitting this to House Mouse Challenge ("food and OR drink" theme, not an Easter theme. hahaha But, carrot is food ;) )

I used Hero Arts Stencil to make a "happy" background :)

Have a relaxing Sunday.

"Hoppy" birthday!

Hello. Hope you all are having a nice week, heading to April...

This is my new HM (Hoppy Hopper) stamp (on the front). The color combo was inspired by lavender and it's stem. I had those printed pretty 6 x 6 paper, and cut those two flowers out, attached the gems in the center. Background is actually using embossing folder and sanded the elevated areas, and it turned out to look like the background you used stencils and some paste. So, I'm submitting this to HMFMC#216  which is "Use Stencils". But I'm not cheating ;) Because they always accept "Anything Goes" theme :)

This is the inside of the card.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I also made this St. Patrick's day card, using House mouse stamp.

Colored in with watercolor pencils. I'm also entering this to House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge Easter and Anything goes. This mouse always makes me smile. I've had this stamp for ... like 12 years? since it's been released by Stampa Rosa.. one of my most fav. and well loved stamp! :)

Happy Easter!

Hi, it's been a while since I posted on my blog. Time surely flies.. and this year, Easter is coming early... so here is my HM Easter Card, the front and inside.

I used the same stamp for the background on the front and inside, with white pigment ink and clear EP, heat set them. Colored the image with Prisma color pencils. Those little carrots are punches, and I used green and orange CS to make the carrots, look like carrots ;) I'm entering this card to House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge Easter

Thank you for visiting my blog today. Hope you'll have a great Easter!
ps. Please don't forget to turn the clock forward before you go to bed this coming Saturday, if your US state has "daylight saving"! :)

Happy New Year! 2013 is here! :-) 4 cards to show! :-)

well, as you all noticed that my blog went to HYBERNATION since... April?? Lots had happened, bad & good & ok... but one thing I can say here is that I don't get enough time for card making any more because of my job. It got even worse lately, but I managed to finish one hanukkah card and three Christmas cards in December. yeah!:-)

I used Lawn Fawn Hanukkah set stamps and a little star stamp from their different set of stamps. I stamped with Memento dye ink, cut those dreidels and attached with foam adhesive, to give a bit of dimention, and hung them with silver strings. I used stickles for the candle lights, and used brilliance ink for little stars in the background. I distressed the edge lightly. I also used the gel pen inside of those four punched out stars. Insideof the card, I stamped the Star of David in the middle on the top  and punched out four little stars, to match the front.

For this Gingerbreadman card, I used my OLDEST sizzix die & the ORIGINAL sizzix die cut mashine. yes, I have it here in Guam, my First die cut mashine, although I hardly used it back then. I'd never imagined that Personal die cutting mashines become so popular years later! :-) Anyways, I used "Reverse" die cut out, and attached the craft color top on the brown card front. I used tiny round stickers on his eyes, to give a bit of dimention & shine. I used the ribbon for "white icing", and white pen for his mouth. I used DCWV's christmas paper inside of the card. I also used "zigzag" scissors to cut the red paper to give more decoration to the inside of the card. This was meant to send to one of my dear HM friend so I colored the house mouse stamp in watercolor pencils, cut it out, and adhered it. Then I found this sentiment from the stash of images I had... maybe 9 years ago?? but thought perfect with this house mouse stamp :-)

This Christmas card is for another HM friend. I found this image again, from my stash from many years ago, but found this hero arts christmas sentiment, to be the perfect match, and used it :-) Don't you get excited when "perfect matching" just happen while you are making cards?? It does to me! hahaha I used markers to color the image, cuz this image was stamped on glossy paper, and marker worked well. Although you can't see it, the candle is colored by clear gel pen to give the shiny look, and the yellow stickle to the lights.

The last Christmas card is for my mother who luvs "Tropical island", so I used the stamp of ornament with Plumeria inside for the focal point of the card. I stamped with brilliance ink on speckled cs, and colored it with markers, cut it out, and attached with the foam adhesive to give a bit of dimention. I stamped banana leaf (from Vivid Jungle) randomly with dye ink on both yellow & green card stock. I used Lawn Fawn Star stamps randomly in brilliance ink, used pearl pens for those random dots.

I still won't have enough time to make cards & blog on regular bases but when I do, you'll all know :-) Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Wishing you all the great 2013!! :-)  with LOVE, Eve

Happy 50th anniversary!

How impressive to have 50th wedding anniversary!! Even my father passed away before they hit 50th anniversary!... When I read my house mouse online friend's post in house mouse yahoo group I belong to, back in February, I wanted to make a card for them :) I wanted to make a card a bit fancy for celebrating 50th anniversary, but since I'm mailing this to Canada from USA (BUT, long way from here, Guam USA), I didn't want to send anything too thick or too fragile. I decided to make a FANCY front, and used Glitter lace background technique (ok, I'm not sure how it's called, really, but learned it somewhere a while back...). The background LACE paper I MADE is the one I used that technique. So, it's not the real LACE I layered on the card stock. I used similar design paper from MS holiday/valentine's day paper stack for layering the main image & the sentiment. I used glitter glue (yellow) on sunflower petals, randomly, but it's a little hard to see. White little punched out hearts on the right corner & layering paper underneath of glittered lace background paper has also shimmer in them but it's hard to see it on the picture...but very similar simmer to that white ribbon and that's the reason I chose that ribbon, to match. The sentiment stamp is old Holly Pond Hill collection. The number "50" is from alphabet set of Lawn Fawn. Surprisingly, the font MATCHED with the Happy Anniversary Stamp! And the size is also perfect that "50" being a bit larger! How exciting! lol! I wrote a little "th" by the number "50". :-) I used pearl pen to make "her" pearl necklace :-) Other pearls are store bought; white & red, both. I placed a little heart gem inside of the number "0". Yes, as you noticed, I FINALLY got my C-plate in the mail!! yeah! :-) It's so nice to "Cuttlebug" again! lol :-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Have a great week! :-)

Thinking of you...

I've been thinking of my MOUSE friend (house mouse online group friend) in California. In fact, I have TWO mouse friends I've been thinking of in California but this goes to one of them, and also later, I'll upload another "thinking of you" card for another friend...
She's been rather healthy (like me :-) ) but for the last couple of months, she has been having more doctors appointments than she's ever had, in such a short time. So I've been wanting to make a card to give her a bit of smile, and shows her I've been thinking about her and praying...
Lavender & purple always calm my nerve down :-) I luv working with the color & the flower. It just relaxes me, since I was a 4th grader... :-) And now you know why I have THIS blog name & profile picture. :-)  Flower soft never appealed to me til I met THIS house mouse stamp & this color of flower soft :-) I luv how it looks. Hope you agree with me too. lol :-)

I also loved this week's challenge sketch at the Sweet Stops. And I finally got a chance to USE new papers from DCWV which I found at Joann right before I left PA, and BROGHT them with me in my carry on, because I got nervous for missing luggage & in the mail. I fell in love with these 2 stacks of papers from DCWV, and guess what the name is; the Chateau Lavender Matstack & its Cardstock Matstack. :-) Now you know how much I love Lavender! lol! When you have great papers, you just want to use them as many as possible, and so do I :-) I usually don't decorate inside of the card, but I did, for this, using the same paper I used (circles) for upper and bottom corners of the front. I even used a small part of the paper for the sentiment from this stack :-) It may not show on the pciture but the card stock I layered the main image & the sentiment are shimmery paper. Hope this card will give her a bit of relaxation when she looks at it ...
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today. Have a great long weekend! :-)
