Missing you

Aloha~

My late mother loved scuba diving. After I left for college, she started to learn swimming (better) and moved to scuba diving. I'd been "collecting" scuba diving stamps but found only a couple in last 35 years of my stamping. When I saw the new release from Spellbinders, I had to have it! Since I've been stamping for so many years, I don't do "monthly subscription" anymore, but to get this set for sure, I had to... anyways, my mother's anniversary was coming, and I thought I would make a card, for her. I found the background paper in my stash, which I used My Favorite Things stencil. Other than all pieces from the set, I added the Hero Arts clear enamel dots to finish it off, as air bubbles. I've been seeing pictures of her, like this card, so many of them, in 35 years of her scuba diving life! The lady on the right who is hand signing, "👍" is definitely my mother. 💕

I miss her so much. I added that sentiment, attached with a foam tape, to give it a bit of dimension.

Now it's September, and the set became available for purchase, and I was surprised how great the club price was. I always loved Spellbinders dies, and this month, it's already on its way, and I love that September set, too. :)

The weekend is almost here! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Housewarming card with the gift

Aloha~

This is a rather quick card I made, to enclose in the package of Housewarming gift for my godmother. She & her husband moved to the senior living community recently. When they decided the place a year ago, she told me that there was an indoor pool. She was reluctant to move out from a big house to a smaller place but she was a little happy about the pool. 😊So, I decided then, the beach towel with the beach design as her housewarming gift.😊

I recently got this red panda stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I colored it with Copics. The background swimming pool is a stencil from MFT stamps. I used the light blue Copic to color over silver layered paper, to tone down. Then, just for fun, I drew "little waves" on the panel, with the same light blue Copic.

Have a great week! Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Coffee card for June swap

Aloha~

So, what do you think of my card? I made this Tiki bar with mixed drink stamps set into the "morning cafe on the beach" here in Hawaii 😊 I drink iced coffee on the beach but some drinks only hot coffee even in hot summer, so you can choose from this Tiki CAFE stand! 😄 It's hard to tell but I chose the textured white paper for beach chair to die cut, to stand out a little from the background. Mostly colored with copics. I used Newton's Nook & MFT's stencils for palm trees and sun beam from the sun rise. I added seashell embellishments from Queen and Co. They come in different colors but I liked this color on this card the most 😊

Inside, I used a couple of stickers.

Yesterday was King Kamehameha day (state holiday) and we are having a long weekend.

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today!

Coffee Card Swap for April 2020

This is the card I made for this month's swap, for the Coffee card group. I was half way done making another card, then, I saw the picture of the mug cup online. Although I can't find the exact picture I saw before making this card, I found the picture which showed the mug cup I saw, at least.
I don't have a nice handwriting and had to look at the font of the stamps I had, to write this sentiment. Since we are in quarantine, I thought this was even more appropriate!
After I made this card, I thought to myself.. why didn't I use the computer and printer to write this sentiment??... lol.. next time 😊
The bamboo frame and leaf stamps are quite old, when there was no clear stamp nor cling stamp existed! But boy, their quality is so good that they still stamp every well! I found the "woven" background paper in my paper stash which has many "old" papers.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Stay safe! Eve

Coffee card swap March 2019

So, when the new "coffee/tea stamps set" from Essentials by Ellen was released last month, I had to order it, cuz the saying on the front is so true and wanted to make some cards with it! 😃

For the inside, I used the one which also made me want to order it right after the release last summer, from Lil'inker designs.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Hope y'all are having a nice day!

August coffee card swap

As soon as I saw this stamp set got released, I had to have it! lol Now I live in Hawaii, so I had to place HIM on a surfboard. I don't have a surfboard stamp, so I cut the yellow card stock into the shape of surfboard, stamped the design, and clear embossed it to give the natural shiny look on the surfboard. He had to wear the sunglasses. Hawaii's sun shine is bright! 😎 But I don't have a stamp for that, so I used black gel pen to draw the sunglasses. It turned out to be good cuz the gel pen also gave the shiny look, like a real sunglasses! It's always windy here so I used LF's swirl background die, and used MFS's sunray stencil. The coffee cup got the water splash, or can be the design of the cup! 😊 I had fun making this card, and will be using this stamp set more often in the future. The sentiments of this small stamp set are also funny!
Inside, it says, "Drink Coffee, Be AWESOME!" 👍

Thank you for stopping by my blog today  😊

Coffee card swap Jan.2018

I joined the coffee card swap group for 2018. This is my first card. The recipient is in NJ, and east coast of US has recently experienced the Bomb Cyclone! It dropped to - 3 F (MINUS 3 F!) one morning in Virginia! That doesn't happen quite often in that area. Apparently US is having a cold winter, esp. at east coast. I thought I would send "WARM" wishes card to her. 😊
So, first, I stamped a BIG cup! LOL Then, I stamped a kitty stamp on it. I love kitties, and this is from one of my newest stamp set. I stamped steam with versa mark, dusted off with perfect pearls. I stamped "wood grain", lightly water colored. I used MFT stamp's sun ray stencil for the sun, and after coloring the stencil, I used wink of stella pen to give some "shimmer" to the sun rays. It's kind of hard to tell in the picture. I colored the BIG coffee mug with the same color as the stripe designed background paper from Lawn Fawn. Basically, I made a card for her to feel the warmth, just looking at it, in this cold winter. .. 😊 Hope I'm succeeded...😉

My new little succulent is in the back....

I'm submitting to SimonSaysStamp Wednesday blog challenge ~ Add a sentiment

Hope y'all have started a nice week. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. If you are having a cold winter, stay safe & warm!
