Coffee themed card for May swap

Aloha~

This is the card for May swap. How many of you like BOBA tea? I love Tapioca pearls, esp. in Ube, Matcha and regular ice tea flavor, as you can probably tell.😋

The main stamp is from Lawn Fawn who became 15 years old this spring, and that's their "birthday" stamp for the store. I can't believe that I MET Lawn Fawn 15 years go when the owner started the business. I used the sentiment from Pink and Main. What took my time the most is the background, using Simon Says Stamp Brush strokes stencil. The stencil itself has more wider spaces between the brush strokes and I wanted to use them to make "narrower" brush strokes background. Not only that, I tried to match the colors on the background paper from lawn fawn. So, I moved a little by little after stenciling one brush stroke at a time. Also, some are wider brush strokes which I didn't wanna use, so I used the ones which I would've liked to get this background result. And, I also chose the colors of the strokes one by one. Although it took more time to make this particular background, it comes in one stencil, and that means, it isn't that expensive. I like this purchase! I used the layering dies to cut the base and background, from Honey Bee Stamps. I bought the similar style from Spellbinders right before this purchase, but it turned out to be smaller and couldn't use for card base, but this does! I love that! And this is "top fold". I finished off with clear stickers of gold alphabets, to make the words "boba" in 2 sizes. Oh, and of course, I had to put a bit of Glossy Accents on all the bobas! So how do you think? I love this, turned out to be "Happy" card!

I've been hearing the severe weather lately from Texas to east coast, through mid west. If you are in the path, please stay safe!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Coffee card for March, 2023

Aloha~

This is my March card for "coffee card" swap group. March always makes me think of St. Patrick's day and green. But, I had to make it for "coffee themed" card, so here is my completed card.

I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamps, using three different green colors, Concord & 9th's girl, drinking coffee and a small sentiment from the Greetery. I added a couple of embellishments.

Inside, I used this saying, and added COFFEE. lol

Hope you had a happy, St. Patrick's day yesterday!
Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Happy Halloween! #1

Aloha~

This is my 1st Halloween card this year. Last year, due to the family emergency, I was out of the state for almost 3 months, and missed entire "fall" season which is my most fav. season to make cards.

I bought this Haunted houses dies of TH last year. And, I saw the release of the SSS's sky scene making stencil set this summer. I had to use them together for my 1st card! It's always a challenge to work on the "dark" color card stock. Mostly you can use "white" ink underneath and it works much better but sometimes, you can't know exactly what kind of color you would get. For white clouds, they look fine. For the moon, I used 3 different colors and brands of ink pads. For the ground, that was the hardest. I used the "grey" tone ink, starting from the lightest grey. I really like how the color turned out to be. I used stamps from LF's stamp sets (a couple of them) from the past. For the sentiment strip, I recently read the tip on TH's distress embossing glaze. I love the colors, and I've "collected" 12 colors so far, but had never found the chance to use them. SSS sells the white sentiment strips these days, and Nina Marie, one of the DT's at SSS mentioned this. So, I didn't buy the sentiment strips but stamped the sentiment on white card stock, and used the glaze over the sentiment. I love how it turned out! I don't like using Archival inks on clear stamps cuz it usually stains but from my experience, trying several different black inkpads I own, I like the Ranger's Archival black ink for embossing TH's glaze the most.

I couldn't fit a black cat die cut so I place it inside 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a nice week!

Aloha~
It's been a long while since I last posted my card on my blog. It's been very hectic due to the moving. Anyways, my best friend's birthday is coming up. She loves cats. She has two kitties.🐈 Inside, it says "Happy birthday"! She works very hard, and hope she will be able to relax on her birthday.

I love tabby/orange cat. One of my cats I had before is a tabby mix. All orange spots on white fur. I found him in a box on the street when I was in middle school and brought him home. He was like another human, how he acted & behaved. lol Loved him 😊
I made this beach parasol and beach towel in OUR college colors! I met this best friend of mine in college 😊💛💜
I made a background paper using a wave stencil before die cutting waves, and add some shimmer using wink of stella pen. I used "shimmery" white paper for the clouds. It doesn't show much but "shimmer" is there! lol. I used the designed papers for the palm trees but added some water colors to make them look more to my taste

Inky Paws challenge is closing soon. The theme is "cute animals". I'm submitting this card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice weekend, everyone!
