Coffee card swap ~ December

Aloha~

This is the card I made for the swap this month. I was very sad that Impression Obsession was closing after 26 years of being in the industry. That's about the time when I "got addicted" to stamping, and all of a sudden my collection has started to explode! LOL Before that, I stamped, like 50 wedding invitation cards which I "heat embossed", using toaster oven, in early 90s but I only had a medium box, full of stamps, not A Room! LOL  But I could finally got this die set, even on sale, after first seeing this die set. It went "sold out" so fast in stamp stores, so I was happy to get it, finally!
I got background stamp of candy canes from Taylor's Expression's Grab bag. I really wanted to have their tote bag which came with it, and I don't own many of their products, so I decided to try the grab bag. It comes with peppermint stick stamps, too. Every Christmas time, I crave for "Peppermint Mocha", and I decided to make this card. I just added "red" peppermint bits (with the marker) on the whipped cream of the bear's mocha! 😋
The sentiment is from My Favorite Things.
This is the inside of the card.
Well, the year of 2025 is almost here...
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a nice weekend. Me? Lots of football games; both college bowl games and NFL!  Love, Eve

Christmas Card #7

Merry Christmas Eve!

This card is for my BFF who loves baking! Mrs. Claus is from Purple Onion designs. I colored her with copics. All baked goods are from Honey Bee Stamps. I used nesting die from Spellbinders, cut it in half for the base of the baked goods. I used papers from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Queen & Company kit. I added two snowflake stickers from Japan.

Inside, I stamped "half" of the sentiment stamp from Sunny Studio. Once again, I used the gingerbread house dies from Honey Bee Stamps. I added epoxy stickers from Doodlebug designs on the roof for a little fun!

While I prepare for posting this, I'm also tracking Santa & his sleigh. It shows the numbers of gifts he dropped! He's been super busy!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I'm almost finishing my Christmas cards for this year. Tell the truth, I wanna keep going, making Christmas cards! I'm really in the mood! lol ...  Love, Eve

Christmas Card #6

Aloha~

This isn't a "normal type" of Christmas card but since it is for my godmother who had a port visit (Honolulu) recently, I decided to make a card like this. She & her husband had a wonderful time, and although it was so short (only for lunch with me), we had a great time! They flew from east coast, had a couple of days in LA, and 5 days on the ship to Hawaii.

Inside, I stamped "Mele Kalikimaka" (Merry Christmas in Hawaiian language.)

I can't believe 2024 is almost over... Some places have been snowed in but here in Honolulu, I've been feeling the hottest December... last Saturday, I sweat a lot, running errands, and had to take a shower twice!

Mahalo for stopping by my blog in your busy schedule today! Mele Kalikimaka! Love, Eve

Christmas card #5

Aloha~

For this card, I used Mail Box and little mails die set from Hero Arts. I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from Simon Says Stamps. The gingham paper is from Memory Box. You may not be able to see the "gold" lines on the paper, which looks like "foiling", although it's not foiling. But I attached the golden ribbon to match those thin gold lines on the background paper. I used snow stencil from Lawn Fawn on the kraft card stock from the same company. All greens and red berry dies are from Sizzix/TH. I used Waffle Flower's postage die for the frame, to match the theme of "mail".

Inside, I stamped the sentiment from Sunny Studio.

A week left before Christmas! Are you ready??!! 🎅Love, Eve

Christmas card #4

Aloha~

When you think of shaker cards in winter, you have to make a snow globe, right?! 😀

The dies and clear dorm are from My Favorite Things. The church scene in the snow globe are made from Lawn Fawn's stamp set. I used the snowy scene stencil from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment is from Concord & 9th, using the die cut out from Lawn Fawn. Those snow flakes around the sentiment are the stickers from Japan. I used the stitch die from Lil' inker designs on the card base.

I stamped this sentiment from Sunny Studio stamps inside of this card.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Red flag warning is effect til tomorrow across the state. Hope everything will stay ok... and hope everyone is ok in US mainland, esp. from that big snow storm which hit the east coast recently.. stay safe! Love, Eve

Christmas Card #3

Aloha~

I cross stitched the Santa Claus from Lawn Fawn's website. They have many cross stitch patterns there if you'd like to check them out! Snowflakes dies are from Lawn Fawn and so is the back ground paper. The sentiment is from Birch Press. I love this style. When I use some kind of stitches on the design, I often end up with the stitched background, using My Favorite Things stamp's frame die. 😊

I wanted a little fun sentiment inside for this card.
Another beautiful day. Honolulu marathon (nation's 4th largest) was held early this morning, started at 5AM. The Fireworks woke me up. lol Over 35,000 participated. Large number of runners are from US mainland and Japan.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Christmas card #2!

Aloha~

This is my 2nd Christmas card. I used cookies in a baking sheet from Queen & Co.'s kit, made a shaker piece. I just love making shaker pieces! So fun! Cute Santa Clause is from Unity, colored with Copic. Brown stitched circle dies are from Lil' inker designs. I cut those out from Lawn fawn's "wood grain" papers. The stripe background paper and the sentiment are from the same kit. I used holly dies from Lawn Fawn. I think it turned out be cute. 😊

The "busy" weekend is almost here. Honolulu is becoming more crowded with tourists who will be participating Honolulu Marathon on Sunday. They are expecting over 35,000 runners. Honolulu marathon is the 4th largest, after NY, Chicato and Boston.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Now, Christmas card time!

Happy Holidays!

Now, time to make Christmas cards!

When I received the kit from Queens and Co., I wanted to make some shaker pieces right away. I'm glad I did that, so I can use them, without having extra time in this busy season! I added shaker bits from different companies and packets! Christmas pudding cakes, chocolate chip cookies, Gingerbread men & houses beside the different colored pearls! So fun! I used the frame die from Hero Arts. First I had another design in mind, and I remembered this frame die. I checked the size of the oven area and it matched the shaker piece, so I decided to use this die instead. I love how it turned out!

Hope you have started a nice week after Thanksgiving day and Black Friday! Kinda strange to have Cyber Monday in December, though... right?! Hope you aren't buried in the snow, either...

My 1st Christmas card...

I wish it was still in early December...In November, coming home from the trip was delayed by 10 days and was delayed making Thanksgiving cards... then, I caught a cold... so, yes, this is my 1st Christmas card...😓

Here is my card for my godmother, using my new Concord & 9th addition!

Most of this card was done with Concord & 9th and various card stock. I used Echo Park papers, which also had a Christmas star & stars. After finishing the card, I used Ranger's stickles to give it a shine. I often keep the package of skin cares, and this, "a little dull" gold card stock for the crescent and the sentiment came in handy. I die cut twice for manger and Joseph & pregnant Mary, to give a bit of dimension, to give a bit of "closer distance" compared to the building dies in the back.

I hadn't used this Echo Park paper pad for 2 years? But I saw this sentiment in this paper pad. It matched to the front sentiment! So, I used spellbinder's frame die to cut that sentiment, and placed it on the gold paper, to place it inside of the card. I used "Blessings" die from Hero Arts to finish the card.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! Merry Christmas! Love, Eve

Coffee card for December swap

With this strong "cold" winds, almost everyday, I caught a cold and wasted a week in this busy December... my Christmas card making has been really delayed.. Yes, even Hawaii gets "winter", a different kind of winter but it reminds me that this is Hawaii's winter when I need to bring a long shirt or hoodie and sometimes have to wear a pair of pants instead of shorts...

So, this is my card. I love this stamp set from The Greetery! Usually I buy craft supplies during the big sales but once in a while, I fall in love with it and have to buy right away, and this set was that... I used this stamp set for fall and now, it's a Peppermint Mocha time!
I used my ANOTHER "fell in love" product from Waffle Flower for this but they just released it (I believe?!) so I didn't have to wait too long for the sale, which is the poinsetta stencil I LOVE IT!! I made this as a top folding card this time. I used the foam tape on the back of the coffee glass but not the whipped cream and the straw so that it looks as if they are inside of the glass. These cute embellishments are from Trinity Stamps. They carry such cute embellishments!

Hope y'all are not going to get buried in snow this week. We are having a little better week, weather wise, compared to last week. Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Stay warm!  Hugs, Eve

Happy Holiday ~ #2

Aloha~

Continuing to my yesterday's post, this is another Christmas card (tag) which I made to send it with a Christmas ornament I found at Hallmark store for my best friend.

The stamps are mostly from Unity stamp Co.. Although I still don't like the way we "store" those cling red rubber stamps, I love some of their stamps! Designs are awesome! Snowflakes are CTMH. 20 years later, I still have their stamps (and many other woodmounted red rubber stamps which still stamp great!). I used Lawn Fawn paper to layer the front card stock. I initially thought to "glue" the front panel to the background paper, like we usually do for our greeting cards, but I realized it's fun to NOT glue it, so it has actually a loose front! Sometimes you change the way you make cards as you make. On the back of this tag, I also stamped Christmas tree, and wrote some personal message.
And, the ornament I found for my best friend from college, she took a couple of pictures of it on her tree after she received it! When I saw this ornament at nearby Hallmark store in November, I thought of her, and I bought it. I wrote her name and my name on the back of this ornament in black sharpie with "2021".

Sometimes, it's fun to make different shapes from just a regular, two folded card.

Again, hope y'all had much better holiday season than I did. lol 😊

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Weekend is almost here! Love, Eve

Happy Holidays ~ #1

LOL, well, Christmas has come and gone, ... a month ago! I did make a couple of cards but I was super busy at work. Due to "ongoing pandemic", work made me even more tired in holiday season. I finally found some time to upload my cards... Hope y'all had a much better "holiday season" than I had. 😊

This card was for my Godmother.

Two years ago, I purchased this house die set, and made this card below, but this year, I purchased the "gingerbread house add-on" die set and made this card above. I put some paste on those yummy gumdrops to look little more realistic to the regular card stock. I would've put glossy accent or something on the berries but I found the paper which gives that similar effect, so I die cut that paper with the berry die.

I love this house die!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today! And, Happy Australia Day to Aussie friends!

Merry Christmas #4!

Aloha~

This was my #4 Christmas card to another card maker, who also loves House Mouse. I used the water color paper, and colored with Prismacolor pencils. Sometimes, it's relaxing to color with colored pencils. I cut out the sentiment and the design with a circle die from designer's paper, attached it with the foam tape. I die cut and placed the berries and pine needles on the branches. I cut thin strips from gold colored paper.

Inside, I stamped my new house mouse stamp and the sentiment, again, colored it with Prismacolor pencils.

Sorry for delayed posting for Christmas.
Hope y'all are having a nice weekend! Hugs, Eve

Happy Holidays! #3

This is my 3rd Christmas card, for my godmother. I made this scene, masking, stamping 3 different stamps. I colored the whole scene with water color markers. Holly dies are from poppy stamps.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Merry Christmas!

Hugs, Eve

Happy Holidays! #2

This is my 2nd Christmas card, and it's for my Godmother's daughter's family. I used LF's shadow box die, stamps and other dies. The santa's sleigh die is from poppy stamps. It's hard to see but there are 3 layers of "snow hills" inside of the box, to place die-cut houses, trees and a church. I made this card for the family with small children.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Holidays! #1

My first Christmas card this year. I bought this Tim Holtz die last Christmas, and finally found the time to use it. It's going to my Godmother's sister.

Hope you are having a nice week! Thanks for stopping by my blog. 😊

"Coffee card" for July 2020 swap

Aloha~ A lot of things have been happening, and forgot to post this card which I made back in July. Funny, this was "Christmas in July" card for the swap I participated but now, it's almost Christmas. lol.. Although it's for a "coffee card swap" group, we can make cards with tea theme and hot chocolate theme.
I can't remember who makes the background paper. Since it's summer, I didn't want too much of "snow" on the card, and thought this "green" paper was perfect. And since it's summer, I used some bright color for the base color ~ yellow, even matching the stars on the Christmas trees on the background paper. I colored the main image with Copics. It's hard to see but used Wink of Stella shimmer pen on the steam & holly on the cup.

Thank you for stopping by. Be safe & stay well. Hugs, Eve

Coffee card swap for December, 2019

Here is my card for December coffee card swap.

I was inspired by the santa's sleigh die from Poppy stamps, which I bought from BF sale in November. I stamped Altenew small snow background stamp 4 times, heat embossed to make the background.I had the travel mug cup die but not the buckle, so I drew it on the gold paper, and cut it with the scissors. lol. When I do something like this, it makes me feel good, remembering the good old days of rubber stamping/making cards. Things in the market were much limited back then compared to the recent market, so we improvised! That was fun! Stamping/card making is evolving..

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Hugs, Eve

Season's greetings!

I made this card for my godmother & her husband.

I enjoyed making this card. Again, I found this background paper at Ben Franklin, and really wanted to make a card with it. I didn't stamp much, which is unusual for me. I stenciled the bricks and die cut the paper with my new house die from Lawn Fawn. I used the glitters for the snow on the house, steam from the chimney, and on the trees. I'm happy with this card 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
