Happy New Year! #3 (for Coffee card swap)

Aloha~

I love this postage dies and stamps. I also used stamps and dies from different companies, 7 companies to be exact, from stamps, dies to stencils to finish the front panel!

It's hard to see it in the picture but I cut the top part, after I made the whole front panel before attaching it to the card base, because, in person, I felt that 2/3 of the panel "looked" heavy with all those die cuts. I used the foam tape to give a bit of dimension to adhere the top part to the card base in the end.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Stay safe & stay warm!

Wishing all of you the MUCH Happier 2021!!!

Happy New Year!!

Well, time flies. A week past already, since 2018 has arrived. Realized that I forgot to send a new year greeting card to a friend, whom I thought I sent the Christmas card to.. apparently I forgot.. Good thing I realized now, still in January, the first month of 2018, so I guess it's ok.. 😅 Here is my rather simple card.
I received this stripe paper as a freebie from Lawn Fawn in my last order, and I really liked it, esp. after coloring her dress, like the dress I have, mostly RED, and the red matched to the red stripes of the paper, so I had to use these together 😊 I love red heels, too. Who doesn't, right? 😉 I used the foam tape for this lady to give a bit of dimension to the card. I also found a matching card stock in pink, to the pink stripes of the paper, and that made me happy! 😊
I used Viva decor's pearl pen for her pearl necklace.

I'm submitting Simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge ~ Something new. This lady stamp set, Lawn Fawn paper and the sequins are new, as well as this card, happy "NEW" year. 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Hope everyone has started a great 2018!

Happy Birthday! ~ 9 months delayed post...lol :-)

This is the card I made for my godmother for her birthday. I used this week's Clean & Simple Sketch. When I met her during my high school years, she collected things with Strawberries, because her dining room's wallpaper was full of strawberries. ....it's a very Long Time ago...I hadn't used this strawberry stamp for a long time, and decided to Ink it again! :-) It's an old Posh Impressions. I heat embossed, and paper pieced. I used nestabilities label for the border. The sentiment is TPC Studio clear stamp.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a great day! :-)

~~~~~~~~ updated on 1/6/2013 ok, so, I had this in my Draft folder, and apparently I didn't finish it and realized it now. So here it is! :-)
Birthday Shaker card to my "house mouse" friend
I like this type of shaker card; shaker box INSIDE of the card, and almost FULL size of the card! I can decorate it more! :-) In shaker box, I put lightly peal tinted hearts, purple "Happy Birthday", yellow(Gold) birthday cake and other little things from different bags of confettis, to match the colors of the card. The corner image is an old CTMH. The sentiment inside is Penny Black. I punched out swirls on the Echo park dp on the bottom. On the front, I used the same dp, used a Fiskars flower punch on the four corners. I love this punch! :-) ... no I haven't gotten my C-late yet...BUT fortunately I found Purple scallop circle die cut out in my stash from last october, when I did lots of just cutting, using nestabilities and the cuttlebug, and this shape & the size is the only purple I found!:-) I added a couple of flowers from the different punch to finish the card:-) The setiment on the front is TPC Studio.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day weekend, and stay safe! :-)
I'm submitting this card to;
Christmas in July! Criss Cross Card :-)
This is the theme at Penny Black Saturday Challenge. Also, "Fancy Fold" is the challenge at Delightful Challenge. I've been making more different "folding" cards this year, as you all noticed?? Because, I got MS's Scoring board this year. How FUN to fold, using the board!! lol! :-) I might make more different "folding" cards for Delightful Challenge before their deadline :-) I've recently made this Criss Cross card using Tilda, but Vertical one. I made Horizontal one this time :-) I've received this PB image from my online friend last year, and had been wanting to color it :-) I used stickles for snow, and for the first time I used very light blue to outline the image (learning from Elizabeth A.! thanks! :-)), instead of light grey I've been using. I've bought this light blue Copic marker at the stamp show I've went last weekend. Inside of the card, I stamped the sentiment & holly and used liquid pearls for berries. For this, you can just put the name on the white part, and when I mail this card, I'll put a piece of white cs in the back of this moss green cs, to write a note to the recipient. I'm also submitting this card to Allsorts challenge where they are running "FREE" challenge (meaning ANYTHING is fine! :-) )
By the way, my best friend called me. She received her birthday card & her daughter's birthday card from me. Their birthdays are only 3 days apart so I mailed them together, in a larger padded envy. She told me that her daughter who enjoys my card very much (she became 10) made a handmade card for her mother (my best friend), getting inspired by ME! :-) I'm tickled :-)
Thank you very much for stopping by my blog today. You'll all have a great weekend!! :-)
cheerful "Thank You Card"
for Etsy Inspired Challenge #138 I made. I didn't realize that ETC now runs one challenge for 2 weeks, but today is the last day anyway! lol! I have only 1 hr left to post! This is the photo I was inspired by, from Bear Creek Design and Felting. All stamps except the sentiment are from Inkadinkado. The sentiment is from TPC studio. All are heat embossed in clear EP. I draw the stitch line right on the embossed frame line. The main nestie die is attached by dimentional glue foam, and small nestie die in the middle is again, attached by dimentional glue foam to give even more dimentions.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a wonderful weekend! :-)
"masculine" Birthday Card with 4 meanings in it!
This card has 4 meanings. First, the recipient loves Hockey. The snoopy ice hockey player stamp comes with the puck in a design, and I inked that puck only, many times, to make this "frame". Ice hockey skates is from Jolee's. I attached it with dimentional foam but also attached the baker's twine, to look like it's "hanging". Secondly, the color combination of black & gold is Pittsburgh Penguins' Color and black & gold (more like Yellow) is also Steeler's color. I bought this background paper, black with yellow random spot. The seconcd pic. shows the inside of this card. The recipient always wants to claim "he is the KING", and I found this image of crown & the sentiment in my CD, so I printed it out, added the gold pearls, traced the image of "KING" with Golden gel pen. I used the nesties to cut the gold color CS, layered it under the printed out white CS. Well, that's the 3rd meaning on this card for this recipient. Adding this "Penguin" cheerleader with pom pom in gold is the final touch to the card for "Pittsburgh PENGUINS" fan! LOL! I luv this card! LOL!
Simon says ... Sparkle!
This is the kind of Christmas trees the tropical islands have! lol :-) This christmas "palm" tree is from Guam's Original Stamp company. For this week's "sparkle" challenge, i used gems under the sentiment. I used yellow Stickles in the middle of Plumeria flowers; tropical flowers you can find all over on the tropical islands :-) I also used silver gel pens to the ornaments & wreath. I used red liquid pearls on berries on the wreath. I used simmery light blue card stock too, so in person, this card is even more Sparkling than on the pic! :-) I also luv all the blue colors i used for this card. To distress the main image & the sentiment, i used Tim Holtz' Faded Jeans & Broken china distress inks. I saw the great image,using these 2 colors, recently, from Kathy's blog (The Daily Marker), so i bought myself the Faded Jeans color inkpad. The little hard thing i did was to cut all little ornaments, to attach with 3d glue dots, cuz they are very small to handle. I also did that for the wreath. I'm also sending this to my NEW online friend, in Wisconsin, as RAK (swap), to surprise her, with this card (she doesn't know my blog address yet! ;-)) I don't think she's ever seen Christmas "Palm" tree before, on the christmas card! ;-) For this RAK, i'm supposed to attach the holiday recipe. I stamped on the corner of the recipe card with CTMH stamp, as you can see it on the 3rd pic.... Now you can see how much i miss my beautiful Tropical islands life...
House Mouse cards to my online friends
I made this "Gate fold card with a twist" (from stampTV), using my fav. House mouse for my online friend, Yara's birthday. You can see how it opens, in the second pic. I used the glitters on mice's birthday hats & candle flames to look Festive :-) I mixed the clear heat EP with glitter, for the sentiment, to heat emboss. The background paper is from my fav. stack of DCWV, "Sweets". I used the same paper inside of the card. I really like this stamp image :-) Another house mouse rak isn't actually a card but made a little bag to hold the Marshmallow lovers' hot chocolate mix, to send it to my another online friend, Mary anne. She remembered that i really like Marshmallows, and when this Stamp of the month (marshmallow design) came out, she just sent the image to me. How sweet of her! So, i decided to make a bag, with the colored image, sent it back to her, saying "thanks", with the hot chocolate mix in it! :-) I'm uploading these cuz i just read that they received these safely :-)
Mojo Monday #163
Again, time flew, and i finally finished this card! hyuuu... I think this is a cute sketch! I used glitters on the berries, the edge of the nesties, snowflakes & snow on the ground. I used my fav. Sakura Souffle white pen for those snow/dots on the mug cup and snow on the birdhouses. I used Glossy accent on the candy cane to give more shiney look like real one :-) I luv this stamp. It's Debbie Mumm's design, from Stampington Company. I still luv Debbie Mumm's designs and buy her fabrics (i sew :-)) and other things but i dont' think nobody makes her RED rubber stamps anymore. This stamp is dated, "1998" (and i probably got it, in early 2000s) but hardly ever used it before, so it still looks like new :-) She & Joann (the craft store) make Clear Stamps sometimes though. Her design is a classic Country, and i luv it! :-) In person, the color of this card is a bit more darker blue.
Penny Black Sat. Challenge wk123
This week's challenge is the sketch. I have this stamp for a long time, but still luv it! I used Glossy Accent, Stickles/baby blue & bubble stickers all over on this card, from bubble images to the center of flower eyelets! I attached the 2nd image of the mouse in the his bathtub, with dimentional glue.
This is the way to Celebrate! lol!
Easel Birthday Card
I made a very similar card for a blog challenge a couple of months ago. It was in Pink & Brown colors and it was just a TWO folded card. I really liked the design i came up with, and I had to make a birthday card very recently for the person who LOVES PURPLE, i decided to use the similar design but this time, i made it in Easel Card & also used the nesties. I just had to put tiny butterflies too, punched out from the light purple shimmer paper.
Mojo Monday 156
This is my card for this weeks sketch challenge at Mojo Monday. Cat, tombstones & spider webs were heat embossed. 2 Bats are brads. I took this pic. in 3 days in different time but the pic. doesn't show the colors of CS & papers well... This year & last year, i'm more into Scary cards than Cute cards, i used to make for halloween. ;-)
Mojo 155
After going to nearby craft stores & having a couple of cold nights already, i got inspired by Halloween! Last year, i was RESISTING Fall to come...lol... this year, summer came a bit early, and warm (locals say "HOT"), so although i still luv SUMMER ALL YEAR AROUND, this year, i could accept FALL was near...lol.. I took probably 20 pics. for this card, in 2 days, in different times, with different Natural Lightings from the window, this card just doesn't show well on the pic. with these colors on the card...:-( I gave up. This is the best among more than 20 pics. i took ... I stamped 4 diamond shape stamp, to make a harlequin background paper, and heat embossed, as well as the gravestone on the tag, and the main image. I stamped spider webs & spiders but no heat embossing. I don't have a bat stamp but fortunately i had bat BRADS on hand :-)
The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC38
I always luv the colors the play date cafe challenge ask for. Of course, it doesn't mean that i come up with a great idea, using those colors, every week. Sometimes, it frustrates me cuz i can't come up with the design, even i think those color combination are Beautiful! Anyways, here is my card. I luv Purple flowers, all kinds :-)
the Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC 34
Black and White with a bit of Blue... that is this weeks challenge at the Play Date Cafe. On the right, the lace looks a bit real in the pic.but i stamped the image (SU! from a long time ago), and white embossed, mixing with glitter. I luv this week's color combination!
Happy St. Patrick's Day!
I'm not an Irish but i have a fond memory from my childhood when it comes to "shamrock". So, i like St. Patrick's Day. From College time, i remember Green Cookies & Green Beer, and in recent years, i remember the BIG St. Patrick's Day Block Party in Honolulu, HI, although the weather wasn't good... (in Honolulu HI, Halloweeen & St. Patty's day celebration is big!) today, it's sunny here in western PA, and the temp. is upper 50F!
These cards are for this year's St. Patty's day. The first one was for my NON stamper friend, and other 5 were for HM club members. Hope those cards brought Good Luck to the receipients! FYI, i used liquid applique for the foam of beer on the first card. Those COINS are shiney in person. I just used gold gel pen to color them. I used the Cloud Punch, punched on moonlight white Brilliance inked vellum, to give just a bit of color & texture. Pot of Gold stamp is from old Darcie's.
