Happy Halloween #2

Aloha~

Can you believe that Halloween is coming up soon?? You would think that it's a month away, but before you know it, it'll be here! lol 👻

This is the card for my BFF, who grew up with dogs but after the marriage, almost 30 years ago, they decided to rescue kitties, due to their work schedule. Ever since they always have kitties. Anyways, I used the cross stitch chart and the dies from Lawn Fawn. Black cat's faces are Washi tape which I never used as a part of the design before. I like how it turned out.😸 I used Lawn Fawn dies of spider webs, new Simon Says Stamps bat dies, and the background was done, using Concord & 9th stencil. And, I love the sentiment on the front! lol

I also decorated the inside of this card, with all stamps from the same stamp set with the sentiment on the front ~ Fun Stampers Journey stamp set which I bought from Spellbinders website a couple of years ago. I just stamped inside and heat embossed with fine white embossing powder.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Halloween #1

Aloha~

This card will go to my godmother. Since she will travel late October, I need to mail this soon.

This is my 2nd "cross stitch" design on the card. As you can see, I'm addicted. LOL I used my new Halloween vertical sentiment stamps from Pretty Pink Posh, for something different. All little cut outs are from Lawn Fawn's stamp set. The background is from Lawn Fawn's die. The bottom hill and grass die cuts are from HoneyBee Stamps. Since it's at night, I cut "grass" in dark brown.

Inside, I used new Washi tapes; one from Lawn Fawn and another one from Japanese "Dollar store", nearby (in Honolulu). The sentiment stamp is from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. If you were in the path of Helene, I hope you'll have a speedy recovery. Some of you remember that I went through Super Typhoon in the early 2000s, the eye literally passed right above me! Please take care. Thinking of y'all. Love, Eve

Coffee card for October card swap

Aloha~

The background papers are from my newest addition, from Whimsy stamp company. My cards are mostly "cute" side but I made it a little less cute, well, at least, I tried. lol

I used MFT's stitch frame die to cut and cut them in triangle. I used spider web with a spider from Essentials by Ellen, die cutting the shimmer paper. I used a Ghost die from Poppy stamps. It's hard to see it on the picture but I used another shimmer white card stock. I used the coffee stamps from Lawn Fawn. The sentiment stamp is from Essentials by Ellen. I used dies from Spellbinders, cutting pumpkins, to give a bit impression of PSL which is next to those pumpkins. I added a bit of blings and twine from TH, from some years ago.
Inside ~ The pumpkin head die is from Poppy stamps. The sentiment strips are from Simon Says stamps.

Halloween is less than a week away... time is flying by... Love, Eve

Halloween cards

Aloha~

I made a couple of Halloween cards, using Whimsy Stamps papers. When they released this paper pad, I had to have it! 😄I made these cards, making those papers as a focal point, finishing them with some dies and sentiments.

I used dies from Lawn Fawn, Tim Holtz/Sizzix, and some papers from Honey Bee stamps.

Inside, I used a ghost die from Memory box. It's hard to see but I used "shimmer" paper to die cut the ghost. I die cut the little Frankenstein from a Poppy Stamps' die. I also purchased "Halloween sentiments (already being printed out on a white card stock)" from Simon Says Stamps this year. There are so many sentiments in the package, and I cut the appropriate ones to the cards I made, attached them randomly.

I had hard time, photographing the card below, in the right color. In person, the whole card is rather darker and vivid. I used Lawn Fawn dies, Tim Holtz/Sizzix dies and Honey Bee Stamps paper, as well as those sentiments strips from Simon Says Stamps, and colored them a little.
Inside shows more "true" color of card stock. lol... "boo" is from My Favorite Stamps.
Only 2 weeks to Halloween...

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice day! Love, Eve

Happy Halloween #2!

Happy Halloween!

The 2nd Halloween card I made this year. I read someone's post saying that she bought more stamps and stamp supplies for the season but ended up not using them all and making cards with those ones she didn't use on the release year, and ended up using in next couple of years. Think of that for a moment, if you've been doing that for 20 years! lol .. Anyways, I bought this Lawn Fawn's stamp set a couple of years ago. I colored them with Copics. I stamped directly to the navy color card base, inside, and used colored pencils to color the moon, stars and clouds. The sentiment is from also Lawn Fawn's stamp set but much older set. I again used the distress embossing glaze over white card stock and black ink for stamping. I'm really liking on how to use the distress embossing glaze!

The spiderwebs on both sides were die cut from the black shimmer paper, from Lawn Fawn, too.

Lighting on these photos aren't that great but those spider and webs are much more black and shiney...I found the "pumpkin" button in my stash to finish this card off.

Hope you all are having a Spooktacular Halloween! Thanks for stopping by my blog today!

Coffee card swap for October, 2019

I know. It's already 2020. .. Halloween came and gone, Thanksgiving came and gone, Christmas came and gone... and it's the first month of 2020!! Time surely flies by..
Well, so this was my Coffee card for the swap of October. For some reason, the photo didn't turn out to be nice... but better than no photo, right...?! lol ..
I bought this background paper. That was my inspiration for this card. I colored some images. I stamped ghosts on vellum, heat embossed and attached them. I used some puffy stickers for some fun! That mug cup has PSL in it 😋

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Halloween!! #2

Aloha~
My 2nd Halloween card. "Traditional" design for my best friend from college. I'd been wanting to use this cute background candy corn paper for a couple of years! lol And I could finally use "the puffy sticker" for the sentiment which I got from last year's SSS's Halloween kit. We all love puffy stickers but unless you have small children, it's hard to find the way to use them, but with this background paper, I thought this was perfect! With the dimension puffy sticker gave, I decided to use foam tapes under all these pumpkins.
I'm entering this card to SSS Wednesday challenge ~ Halloween/Spooky

Hope you'll all have fun and safe Halloween!

Happy Halloween! #1

Aloha~ I barely made two Halloween cards this year. Having a full time job limits the time for card making... This is for my godmother. This year, I've decided "cute" for Halloween 😊 I used the orange craft foam to give a bit of dimension under the white front panel, rather than placing all the foam tapes for small individual designs.
I'm going to enter this card to LFawnatics challenge~Bling it out. When they introduced the new sparkle cardstock, I knew what I was gonna use it for. 😊 All colors in this cardstock package is so beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Have a fun & safe Halloween! 🎃Eve

Oct.31, 2017 Happy Halloween! Trick or Treat #3

"This is probably my 2nd time to buy A Card Kit in my over 25 years of stamping. I don't find interesting to use a kit when I'm creating, but this one, as soon as it was released, I placed the order! 😊 Except the big sheets of holographic stickers, I love them all, and I knew I could use them all. "
This is a card, made of different company's stamps, but the haunted house, spiders, and those little Nuvo Glow Drops, both apple sour and banana split are from this kit!  What inspired me for this card is those trick-or-treater image, already colored, I found it in my very old stash. It's SU! from early 2000s'! Wow, over 15 years ago! ... On the envelope, you can see the whole stamped image but I didn't stamp on the 3rd floor. No space for this already prepared regular card front size. I masked the house and the trick-or-treaters, and used a Stamp Camp back ground stamp, using a couple of Tim Holtz distress inks, splitzed with the water on the stamp. I found a spooky looking tree and bats from Lawn Fawn Halloween set, and I'm not sure what company but found the sentiment stamped and heat embossed already in my old stash. I used MFT stitched banner die for the sentiment, attached with the foam tape for the dimension. I found a little ghost plastic embellishment from my stash, and "painted" with "Nuvo Glow Drops Apple Sour". I also used "Nuvo Glow Drops Banana Split" on all the windows of the house.

And this is how it looks in the dark...Spooky... fun! I really love these "glow in the dark" drops!

I'm submitting this to Simon Says Anything Goes Challenge (Wed.version) and Simon Says Stamps Limited Edition Halloween 2017 Card Kit gallery. This isn't a challenge, just a gallery.

Happy Halloween, Everyone! Have a safe & fun evening!

Another card, using this kit, and for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge ~ Photo inspiration.

I love candy corn. My October tradition is to buy a bag of candy corn, and nibble them throughout the month of October. I love the Original flavor!

I used "Nuvo Glow Drops Banana Split" to "paint" over the yellow water coloring.  I used "Nuvo Glitter Drops" on all candies, and glossy accents on the caramel part of the caramel apples.
This is how it looks in the dark, cool, huh? I like it a lot!

It's Meow-lloween!

This is probably my 2nd time to buy A Card Kit in my over 25 years of stamping. I don't find interesting to use a kit when I'm creating, but this one, as soon as it was released, I placed the order! 😊 Except the big sheets of holographic stickers, I love them all, and I knew I could use them all.

I used WOW "Glow in the dark EP" for the 1st time. Fun! The "fun swirly night sky background paper through the window" had a price tag on the back of this paper and the name of the stamp store. It was the store which closed over 13~14 (?) years ago, and the price was 75 cents for 12 x 12. Never used it, just "hoarded"! hahaha It was time to use! 😊 Some people don't like the black cat, so I used medium grey paper for a kitty. A kit comes with the die for this image 😊 I found another "oldies", the little witch shaker piece. It was the perfect size! I also bought a pack of Halloween postal stamps (the real one from USPS) and didn't use it at all last year, but this year, I'm using them!
And this is how it looks in the dark. You can see a bit of stamped image in the natural lighting on the card. Cool, huh?! I love it!

I'm submitting this to Simon Says Stamps Limited Edition Halloween 2017 Card Kit gallery. This isn't a challenge, just a gallery. And, to Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge~A Walk on the Dark Side.

Just realized. In US, it's a long weekend! (Columbus Day). Hope everyone is having a relaxing (& long if you are in US) weekend. 😊

Happy Halloween

My first Halloween card this year, altho, I forgot to post, and now I'm posting it, after already posting 3 Halloween cards! Sometimes, you forget that it's a "draft" and hasn't "published" it yet...haha...

I did shaving cream technique, to make a a "spooky" background. The sentiment is elevated with foam adhesive, and heat embossed. I used the wink of stella on the spiderweb to give the shimmery look. I used Uni gold pen on bat's eyes. Another "spooky" details. 😉

Happy Sunday evening, everyone! 😊

Eve

Hello, Pumpkin!

Not like the last year, time allows me to make more Halloween cards this year 😊. I'm entering this card to My Favorite Things 2017 Card design Superstar contest, in CAS category.

I stamped the pumpkin and the stem first on the white cs. Then I stamped the face on pumpkin . And I used clear EP to emboss the whole "carved" pumpkin. Then I used the distress ink, masking the pumpkin to give a bit of a "fall" look, instead of having a plain "white" background. Then I used stencils over the "distressed colored" cs, using a bit of darker color distress ink. I stamped two faces over the stenciled background. I cut this front panel out using the frame die from Blueprints 20 die set, attached to black cs. I used the banner die from the the same die set, stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set. The banner was a bit long, so I cut the right side, and ran the edge of the banner with the frame die to give "the stitches" to match. I wrapped the ribbon (from my stash, years ago.. probably Michaels or Joann..) and adhered the sentiment banner with foam adhesive. I used Nuvo Crystal drops for the finishing touch.

To be qualified, we have to use MFT Stamps, Dies, Stencils & Patterned paper. (Non-MFT CS, inks, embellishments are  allowed to use, according to MFT on FB.) So I used,
Stamps ~ Spooky Sweets
Stencils ~ English Brick Wall
Dies ~ Blueprints 20

Hope you all are having a great weekend!

Update ~ now time to mail this card, and I decorated the inside 😊 Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treat!

Update : I won the challenge with this card. 😄

I've been wanting to use this stamp and finally the time has come!
When I saw the title of the challenge which is "I can see right through you", I thought of shaker card right away, looking something "through" the opening in the card. I love making shaker cards, even I'm not really into "interactive" cards which has been a trend these days in the card making world, except, the shaker card! I'm submitting this to the House Mouse challenge #249.

It's kinda self explanatory but the story is "Muzzy thinking Mudpie ate all the candies in the trick-or-treat bag, having his footprints coming and going out. Of course, Monica in that hat may have one or two hidden her mouth".😁 I didn't color Mudpie cuz he is in Muzzy's thought, except the pink tongue I drew. I tried to show "deliciousness" with that pink toungue! 😄 Since candy corn buttons had more "height" even after removing shanks, I had to attach two foam tapes together to give more height than usual height of just one, for the front panel to attach. I usually place more shaker pieces but since I wanted to show Mudpie's image more, I didn't, but when I shake it, those all pieces shows 😊 The Bats image is from Lawn Fawn, and the sentiments are in one red rubber stamp, from Uptown Rubber Stamps/Holly Pond Hill, but inked them, used them separately. The company is long gone but I've had this stamp for more than 12 years :) I still love it!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

"Happy Haunting"!

A little early but Happy Halloween! ;) Well, I've been dying to use my new addition, which is Lawn Fawn's "shadow box" die set! Usually my mind doesn't get ready for the "occasions" early enough but not this year. lol I think that part of it was contributed to make "Christmas in July" card! lol Anyways, so here it is. I'm sending this to my Godmother's daughter who gets excited about Halloween. Hope she will like it. I'm also submitting to Lawnfawnatics challenge #12, "Create a scene".

I used a sheet of acetate to attach to the 2nd hillside cutout so that I could stamp ghosts and bats and looks like "flying & floating". I used a little moon die from Lawn Fawn's winter village set. I love that stamp set and bought the die set also. Perfect shape and cut out, no stamping, and attached to the back "wall" of this shadow box.
Spider web got the shimmer from the wink of stella :) So, can you (Lawn Fawnn fans) guess which stamp set I used for this trick-or-treater in ghost costume? I don't have"trick-or-treater" stamps. So I used a "snow penguin" stamp from "Snow Cool" (penguin's) set. 1. I used "mirror stamping technique" because I already placed the tree on the left (lol!). 2. I didn't ink the "carrot nose" from the original image. 3. I used a trick-or-treater bag from Penny black stamp set and cut that out, and attached to the "snow penguin's" hand! lol I thought it worked out pretty well ;)

Weekend is almost here. Have a great one!

Eve

Update : These are the sides of this shadow box. The stamp I used is "A muse art stamp" , and woodmounted red rubber stamp. I've had this for more than 12 years. Still comes in handy when the Halloween is near 😃 I don't think this company is no longer in business tho. I found this nice designed paper from my stash, and distressed them, to coordinate with this shadow box. I'll write the message on the back, in the oval die cut out, in lighter color.

the Corrosive Challenge #87 Halloween (or Orange/Black)

I've been wanting to use this SCARY tree cut out from Cricut. I drew some lines with gel pen, to give a bit "life" into the tree :-) Except the tree & bats, i used dimentional glue to give a bit depth into the card.

PB sat. challenge wk124

The theme is "Spooky Nights". The "witch student" is also a new PB stamp. I've been wanting to use the "in the forest look" background paper. It looks like those hedges are flying in the forests :-)

HM & Friends Mon.Challenge #81~Halloween!

I luv this stamp but it is BIG! I layered the colored image on the dry embossed black background CS, which i matched the pattern with the liner inside of the card. I cut the 2nd image (HM in a Pumpking costume), colored it, and attached with dimentional glue to give a bit of depth to the card. You can see it on the 2nd pic. I luv this Halloween greeting Cut & emboss combo die but to give more vivid image, i used Sakura Quickie Glue pen, to adhere the glitters, as you can see it on the 3rd pic. yes, i took a pic. AFTER i decided to send this out to my online *HM* friend & wrote the message ... as you can see a bit in white writings...lol...I luv to make easel cards :-)

Simon Says...

3 Types of Embellishments, 2 Patterned papers (and a plain color for layering) and 1 Image for this week's challenge. The image is Penny Black. The spider web is the corner punch from MS. It is designed to use it OUTWARD from the center of the card, but i trimmed it after punching the paper out, attached them on the corners with dimentional glue dots. Two black small round things are gems, but a bit hard to tell. Also the main image & the sentiment are attached with the dimentional glue dots.

PB Sat. Challenge wk122

The challenge is to use more than 2 Penny Black stamps. Just like last week, i only have a couple of hours left til it closes its challenge, but i made it somehow, to upload my card...hyuuu... The cat image & Bats images are from Penny Black. The trees/forest are... from SU! but it wasn't really a Forest/tree stamps.... Since i didn't have those stamps in hand, i CREATED these trees, using a leaf stamp from old SU!'s stamp set! lol! If i didn't reveal this secret, i don't think anybody could tell that, right??! lol! I think they turned out to be a Good Looking Forest image! lol! I used the glossy accent on the pumpkin face balloon :-)
