Happy Holidays! #1

My first Christmas card this year. I bought this Tim Holtz die last Christmas, and finally found the time to use it. It's going to my Godmother's sister.

Hope you are having a nice week! Thanks for stopping by my blog. 😊

"Coffee card" for July 2020 swap

Aloha~ A lot of things have been happening, and forgot to post this card which I made back in July. Funny, this was "Christmas in July" card for the swap I participated but now, it's almost Christmas. lol.. Although it's for a "coffee card swap" group, we can make cards with tea theme and hot chocolate theme.
I can't remember who makes the background paper. Since it's summer, I didn't want too much of "snow" on the card, and thought this "green" paper was perfect. And since it's summer, I used some bright color for the base color ~ yellow, even matching the stars on the Christmas trees on the background paper. I colored the main image with Copics. It's hard to see but used Wink of Stella shimmer pen on the steam & holly on the cup.

Thank you for stopping by. Be safe & stay well. Hugs, Eve

Happy Christmas Card day!

Update : This card was selected in TOP 3. 😊

Yes, I just learned while I was trying to upload this card for the challenge at House Mouse Monday Challenge, the theme of Birthday in December . I know another lady who has a birthday this month, and she happens to love House-Mouse 😊

I made a similar card a couple of weeks ago, using Tim Holtz stencil on the background panel, using texture paste, with some glitter this time, on a little lighter color textured paper. I love this stencil! The sentiments are from Altenew. The cupcake is from Stamps by Judith. I made a chocolate cupcake for her, with a cherry on top! 😉

I'm also sharing this at SimonSaysStamp "Christmas Card Day " blog post. I'm glad that Sir Henry Cole (1818-1874) of England created the first commercial Christmas cards in 1843! So that we, the card makers enjoy creating Christmas cards! 😊

I still have several more Christmas cards to make...

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.
Hope y'all are having a nice weekend!

Christmas #2

Hi! When I read the theme of "Furry Friend" at Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, I had to use this kitty from SSS, from their Halloween set! I love cats, and altho I love Tabby (orange cat) the most, my first kitty was Siamese. I used foam tape to elevate the front panel, to give the center design a bit of room because of the little bell this kitty is wearing, since I'm mailing this 😊
I love the stencil from TH, and used the texture paste over it. I DID add glitter afterwards but the picture just can't capture that well...

Cat ~ Simon Says Stamp
All other stamped images ~ Lawn Fawn
Background panel ~ Tim Holtz

Finally I'm starting to feel Christmas..
Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Have a nice Thanksgiving~EVE!

Happy Mother's Day!

Time is flying, and mother's day is almost here. Here are my 2 Mother's day cards. One is for my mom, and another one is for my Godmother who's been there for me ever since.

For mom,
I used Altenew stamps set, WeR memory keeper's embossing folder for the background, and those $1 stamp at Michael's for the sentiment. I wrote Happy Mother's day inside of the card.

For my Godmother,
I used TH's stencil for the focal image, hand-wrote the sentiment (I need a nice sentiment STAMP! ;) ), and used viva decor's pearl pen for the little white pearls.

A little early Happy Mother's day to all mothers and godmothers.

EIC #103

This week's challenge at Etsy Inspired Challenge is from the Caged Fairy Shop on Etsy. I got inspired by her store more than one. I even wanted to make MORE than TWO, being getting inspired by her things!! Unfortunately i don't have those Trendy OWL stamp... I have seen Alice In Wonderland STAMP collection in online store somewhere but i don't own those either, BUT i thought of Tim Holtz' rabbit stamp when i saw this pendant picture, and i decided to make a card with this pendant in mind, first. yes, i made 2 cards for this week's challenge! :-) When i make cards for "challenges" on blogs, i hardly check what i win, BUT WHEN i get inspired RIGHT AWAY from the themes and pics. , i just make cards! :-) I had hard time, choosing which pic. to pick from this store this week! LOL! I'm uploading 2 pics. for the same card on this post cuz i used perfect pearls, and one card isn't enough to see it on screen... i used perfect pearls on Black background textured paper & around the rabbit on white CS, using the same swirl stamp (Tim Holts also) and same color of perfect pearls; Blue Smoke. I colored the white CS edges with mementos' London fog color. Unfortunately the color isn't that great... the red CS i used, is really a dark Cardinal color red BUT all pics. i took show a bit Orangish color...:-( The ribbon has shimmer in it. I'm not sure when i'll be able to afford a better camera...lol...The Rabbit image was attached using pop up glue dots to give some dimention.

This week's sketch at Clean & Simple Stamping is Really Simple! lol! And this is my card. I got this color combination from my friends' mother's t-shirt which i saw yesterday! lol Stamp is from Tim Holtz collection, stamped on dry embossed CS which is really hard to see, but that's the reason why the stamped image looks like that beside the original stamp doesn't have solid lines either.
