Happy St. Patrick's Day! #2

Aloha~

Here is my 2nd St. Patty's day card (for my godmother). I used the same Waffle Flower's Paw dies for this one, but in orange cat color, remembering her first kitty from over 40 years ago. But orange kitties have been my fav., too. ever since I was a kid. And it was rather fun to make this card cuz of it!

The sentiment & the background paper are from Lawn Fawn and the 4 leaf clover is from Concord & 9th, watercoloring.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are having a nice Sunday, despite of 1 hour less sleep in US this morning... Love, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day! #1

Aloha~

I recently purchased this paw dies from Waffle Flower, and the recipient has 2 kitties, so I thought I would use these dies, and in her kitties' colors. I even asked her before die cutting papers what colors their paws were. lol

The 4 leaf clover is from Lawn Fawn. I used the glitter paper underneath of the light green "marbled?" background paper from Lawn Fawn. I used Waffle Flower background die to cut the panel so that you can see the glitter through the panel, the same glitter paper I used for the 4 leaf clover the paws hold.

It's been a stressful time and uncertainty in the world, and this recipient told me that my Valentine's day card made her smile last month, so I decided to send this "lucky" card to make  her feel a little better this month, too.

Spring is just around the corner. It seems like severe weather are here to stay, though. ... stay safe.

Happy St. Patrick's day! #2

Aloha~

I used new Shamrock shaker die to make this card. I usually don't make "interactive" cards because of no time except shaker cards! I love making them! I used LF's stencils for the background. Once in a while, I use brads. I HOARDED (!!) so many brads and eyelets when it was really popular years ago. I'm sure that many of you can relate! 😄

Happy St. Patrick's day! #1

Aloha~

This is my first St. Patrick's day card this year. Although I bought this Shamrock die this year, having another idea, I ended up using St. Patrick's day stamp set from the past from the same company for this design. 😊I used LF's paper. I have started to wear greens! 💚

Hope you are having a nice weekend! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Coffee card for March, 2023

Aloha~

This is my March card for "coffee card" swap group. March always makes me think of St. Patrick's day and green. But, I had to make it for "coffee themed" card, so here is my completed card.

I used a stencil from Simon Says Stamps, using three different green colors, Concord & 9th's girl, drinking coffee and a small sentiment from the Greetery. I added a couple of embellishments.

Inside, I used this saying, and added COFFEE. lol

Hope you had a happy, St. Patrick's day yesterday!
Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day #2

 Aloha,

This is the card I made for "Coffee themed" card swap group I belong. So, what do you think? I purchased the clover dies from Lawn Fawn. I fussy cut the mug cup from also Lawn Fawn's new released paper. I made a slit and tucked the 3 strips of "specialty papers" for the rainbow. I also used Lawn Fawn papers for blue sky background and grasses. This "leprechaun" is actually gnome stamp from Lawn fawn, 10 years ago! It's the retired stamp but I saw someone made a "leprechaun " from the gnome stamp and I remembered I had a gnome stamp! And of course, I had a leprechaun hat. 😉 Inside, I wrote "Irish you are a lucky day with a big cup o'gold and delicious coffee!" lol

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today. Hope y'all are having a nice week! Hugs, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day! #1

Aloha,

This is my first St. Patty's day card this year. On Friday, I received my order from Lawn Fawn, the new release. I love this clover stencil set! I tried it as soon as I received, and really like it! This product is cleverly made. So, I don't need two different kinds of green ink. The way this stencil works is that you can use only one ink and get the two color result, in this case, green (original color) and darker green. I also purchased their new ink pad ~ Clover. I have several green ink pads from different companies but I wanted to try this green inkpad from LF. Every year, I make St. Patrick's day card. When I have a heavy heart, I tend to make a "clean" card. Right now, Russian is attacking Ukraine...😢 I love how this card turned out, though. The sentiment was heat embossed in gold on an old vellum from my "hoarded" collection. Again, when I get to use some piece from like 20 years ago, it makes me feel good 😊

Hope and pray the war will be over very soon before everything gets destroyed in Ukraine... 🙏

Have a great week! Love, Eve

Coffee/St. Patrick's day card for March swap!

Aloha~ This is the card I made for the Coffee card swap group for March. I really enjoyed stamping clovers with colored pencils on kraft card stock. It's pretty therapeutic, esp. in this stressful time..

Hope you are having a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's day! (2 cards!)

 Aloha~

Every year, I make cards for St. Patrick's day, one of the occasions I enjoy making a card for! It makes me "happy". Hope the recipients will feel the same!

Finally I got this stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh, colored with Copics. I've been coloring with water color mediums but now, slowly my copic collection is increasing.. 😀

Happy St. Patrick's Day! ~ Coffee card swap, March, 2020

This is the card I made for Coffee card swap group for March. I used Gina K designs' wreath builder template for shamrocks for the first time. It was more fun than I thought it would be! The background paper was in my specialty paper stack for many years. I seriously don't remember when I made it. In early 2000's, making background papers with different medium & colors was a trend, before the stamp companies started to make novelty papers and sell. Anyways, this is hard to see but I believe I used alcohol inks on photo papers. It's shiny in person. I had some left part from that "hand made" paper, so I cut the circle, and attached it in the center. The design of this card was inspired not only by the St. Patty's day but also Mint shake at both McDonald's and DQ on their ads before making this card! lol :)
I hardly do white embossing on black card stock but I did, and I like the way it turned out on this card :)
Hope y'all have a lucky day & lucky month!

Happy "belated" St. Patrick's day!

I made this card before St. Patrick's day but hadn't had time to upload til now. So here it is.

I used an old Darcie's pot of gold stamp. Also the rainbow is from an old Darcie's stamp. I just love these stamps. Background is done, with sponging technique, using Lawn Fawn's cloud dies set, masking. Other stamp images are all from Lawn Fawn.

Hope you all are having a nice Easter Sunday!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I also made this St. Patrick's day card, using House mouse stamp.

Colored in with watercolor pencils. I'm also entering this to House-Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge Easter and Anything goes. This mouse always makes me smile. I've had this stamp for ... like 12 years? since it's been released by Stampa Rosa.. one of my most fav. and well loved stamp! :)

My first St. Patty's day card this year :-)

I'm a "wanna be Irish"! lol ;-) I've always celebrated this day, with Green Cookies to Green Beer, even I'm FAAAR from Irish! lol! I don't have anything green to wear, except for St. patty's day shirt! lol :-) And I totally forgot that I'm now on the island where I can't find any Irish people, on this US soil... maybe only the military personel from US mainland. So, I couldn't find Shamrock confetti, which I've seen so often when I was in Pittsburgh.... I punched out some shamrocks, found a red heart, red LIP shape, and shimmery tiny hearts confetti from my old stash here, for the shaker box. Since those shamrocks are papers, I needed to put the real confetti which helps things in the shaker box to move, rather than stick.... oh yes, this is for my Special half Irish person (!!) and that's why I put those hearts & lip confetti :-) I used this week's sketch at CardPatterns challenge. Apparently I forgot to pack my fav. St. Patty's day DPs for layering, so I had to stamp & heat embossed! And for lighter green card stock, I embossed with swiss dots embossing folder. I used sakura clear star gel pen to give a bit of shimmer around the both edges on the green circle card stock for the shaker box. The main image is an old Posh Impressions Stamp, and the background shamrocks are old hero arts stamp. Two shamrocks in the background stamped paper above the shaker box are cut outs. I found the spaces there, and used the shimmery paper to punch out, the same one I used, inside of the shaker box, and adhered them for more shimmery look!:-)
Thank you for visiting my blog today. I really appreciate you to stop by in your busy schedule and leave some comments :-)
I'm also submitting this card to

St. Patrick's Day card

I made this card for my "bestest" friend from college, Laura. We've been friends for many years now, since my 2nd year & her 3rd year in college. Although we haven't been able to hang out as much as we wanted to, after we both graduated, and me living almost always Very Far. ... now she has her own family and works long hours, it's getting even harder to keep in touch closely but I always send her cards for special occasions, so at least she knows I think of her so often. :-) I used this weeks sketch challenge at mojo Monday. I like this sketch! :-) I wanted to make the ROUND card but I really wanted to use this Sentiment from Lawn Fawn, and ended up making a square card. :-) I also wanted to use those tiny shamrock paper I recently found at local stamp store. Inside of the shamrock stamp, in the middle, I attached tiny heart shaped clear gems but when I took a pic. of the card, it seems that the colors of my shirt reflected and shows the dark pink & black stripe on CLEAR gems... lol..All images are heat embossed.

Being Published back in 2004! Old cards! :-)

today, one of my yahoo club friend asked whether anybody has ever been published in the magazines. I had 3 cards in total, being published, but oh boy, those cards are rather simple compared with the cards in recent years! For the card with ship, i even got a phone call for the interview, like where i live, how long i've been stamping, where i get the inspiration from, etc. There was the interview details in the magazine beside the card. For the second card with fish ("under the sea" theme), i got the e-mail of "interview" (Q&A), and also some introduction about me, but shorter, and the 3rd card with the cat was published just in the READER's submissions page, without any comments, only my name. (NOT the shaker card one). Back then, lots of TECHNIQUES were introduced, and for the first card & the 3rd cards, i used Posh impressions' rainbow sponging. For the 2nd card, i used polished stone technique. I was living in Guam (US territory), the tropical island, tourist destination & the land of US Navy, all three cards were made from the inspiration, just me living there. no, cats don't fly there!! LOL but in rainy season, we get squalls every day, and we can see rainbows so often!! The colors of the ocean sometimes becomes the one with the polished stone technique. Water is clear & beautiful colored fish are all around! And the ship... not only Cruise ship sometimes stop by there but BIG NAVY ships stop by also. Anyways, i was inspired by the nature & life all around me, living in Guam :-), and that's how i answered to those interviews :-) They were all published in Scrap & Stamp Art Magazines by Scott Publications. I was getting excited but then the life took a turn to bad... and i had to stop stamping...

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I'm not an Irish but i have a fond memory from my childhood when it comes to "shamrock". So, i like St. Patrick's Day. From College time, i remember Green Cookies & Green Beer, and in recent years, i remember the BIG St. Patrick's Day Block Party in Honolulu, HI, although the weather wasn't good... (in Honolulu HI, Halloweeen & St. Patty's day celebration is big!) today, it's sunny here in western PA, and the temp. is upper 50F!

These cards are for this year's St. Patty's day. The first one was for my NON stamper friend, and other 5 were for HM club members. Hope those cards brought Good Luck to the receipients! FYI, i used liquid applique for the foam of beer on the first card. Those COINS are shiney in person. I just used gold gel pen to color them. I used the Cloud Punch, punched on moonlight white Brilliance inked vellum, to give just a bit of color & texture. Pot of Gold stamp is from old Darcie's.
