Coffee card for the card swap in August 2025

Aloha~

This is the swap card I made for this month. It's an "Iced Tea/Boba tea" card. I recently found a great buy at Echo Park website for the layered frame die set. It pURRfectly cut Newton's image! The designed papers are from Newton's nook also. The sun die cut is from Concord & 9th. The sentiment is from Pink & Main. Oh, the "sunburst" die all over the front panel is from Concord & 9th, too.

So, inside, you wonder why these two boba teas...? Well, the sentiment happened to say, "Cups", so I just added to make it more than one in the front of the card. lol Those are from Lawn Fawn.

Maybe I'll make a couple of more Summer card before shifting to "fall" theme, if I find time. Summer is always busy for me.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope you are having a great weekend! Love, Eve

Happy Birthday! August #2

Aloha~

Updated on 9/8/'2025: This card was chosen by one of the designers of this challenge, and I received the badge! I placed it on the side bar of my blog. Yay!😊

Summer is always busy for me, and August is busy with birthday friends whom I plan to make cards for.

I bought this Newton & shell stamp set & paper pad as soon as it became available, but not I was only busy but I already had a particular recipient in mind~my former boss. She has a cat and she also lives in Hawaii, so this stamp set is PURR-fect! 😸

When I started to design, Newton's nook design's monthly challenge caught my eyes~sketch challenge. Since I have their papers, too, I decided to use this sketch. Come to think of it, the last time I joined the challenge, it was exact a year ago, and that was for Newton's nook designs, too, and used boba tea stamp set which back then, just came out. Just you know, though, when I say "just came out", it takes much longer to arrive here due to the location. Usually USPS takes a week to, sometimes, more than 3 weeks. πŸ˜‘

Anyways, this is the card I made for her. I decided to use this sketch sideways. I think this challenge would've been much easier IF I had their newly released layout die but since I didn't get that one, I used My favorite things stitched frame die and cut it in the similar shape. I do like this sketch, though. Maybe I should get those dies from Newton's Nook Designs in the near future.... So, if you look closely, one and two sides of papers aren't stitched. ...I tried to color the kitty in my boss's kitty color but rather, failed..πŸ˜“ At least, I tried... I used my recent favorite sentiment from Lawn Fawn. I used that for a birthday card I made, only last month. I used copics, esp. to give gradation in the sentiment, attached it with a thin foam tape.

She likes the puns, so I added more puns inside of the card. lol The larger font sentiment and paw stamps are from My favorite things and the smaller font sentiment is from Pink Fresh studio.

Oh so, I'm submitting this card to the August challenge. https://www.inkypawschallenge.com/

I wake up to the news that severe weather is still ramping up around the world. Please stay safe! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Birthday, my BFF!

Aloha~

Last month has been busy and I didn't make any card. Now I'm back. This is for my BFF. I first planned to use, either crab stamps or panda bears stamps, both she loved but I didn't come up with the design quick. She & her husband are coming to Hawaii in September, so I changed to "ocean and shells" as a main design. Hope she will be even more excited to come to Hawaii, after seeing this card!

I used Honey Bee Stamps Beach Break Cover plate and coordinating stencils for the background beach scene. I used shell stamps and sentiments from Lawn Fawn. I used Lawn Fawn's crunchy leaf ink to stamp, colored in with copics. I added the foam adhesives for sentiments and for some shells to give some dimension.  I added Ranger's stickles on the edge of the waves, then added some pearls to finish it off.

Inside, I used the sentiment stamp from Pink Fresh Studio, and two drink stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. We used to hang out to drink strawberry daiquiri in college, and they are coming to Hawaii, so I used coconut water drink. I forgot to take the picture inside before writing to her, so I covered them with post it notes. lol ...

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Severe weather continues in US mainland. Stay safe! Love, Eve

Coffee themed card for May swap

Aloha~

This is the card for May swap. How many of you like BOBA tea? I love Tapioca pearls, esp. in Ube, Matcha and regular ice tea flavor, as you can probably tell.πŸ˜‹

The main stamp is from Lawn Fawn who became 15 years old this spring, and that's their "birthday" stamp for the store. I can't believe that I MET Lawn Fawn 15 years go when the owner started the business. I used the sentiment from Pink and Main. What took my time the most is the background, using Simon Says Stamp Brush strokes stencil. The stencil itself has more wider spaces between the brush strokes and I wanted to use them to make "narrower" brush strokes background. Not only that, I tried to match the colors on the background paper from lawn fawn. So, I moved a little by little after stenciling one brush stroke at a time. Also, some are wider brush strokes which I didn't wanna use, so I used the ones which I would've liked to get this background result. And, I also chose the colors of the strokes one by one. Although it took more time to make this particular background, it comes in one stencil, and that means, it isn't that expensive. I like this purchase! I used the layering dies to cut the base and background, from Honey Bee Stamps. I bought the similar style from Spellbinders right before this purchase, but it turned out to be smaller and couldn't use for card base, but this does! I love that! And this is "top fold". I finished off with clear stickers of gold alphabets, to make the words "boba" in 2 sizes. Oh, and of course, I had to put a bit of Glossy Accents on all the bobas! So how do you think? I love this, turned out to be "Happy" card!

I've been hearing the severe weather lately from Texas to east coast, through mid west. If you are in the path, please stay safe!  Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Anniversary!

Aloha~

Hope y'all had a nice Easter. 🐰

My BFF's anniversary is coming up. I made this card for her. She loves panda bears. Probably they are her most favorite animals. Several stamp companies came out with panda bears stamp set in the past but never had bought them. They weren't quite my favorite types of panda bears. ... then Lawn Fawn released panda bear stamp sets some months ago, and I had to buy them all. Now, my bff will get more cards with these panda bears in the future. πŸ˜„

It's kinda self explanatory card. I also used Lawn Fawn's papers and card stock. The sentiment is from Altenew. I used gold paper underneath of the sentiment's cut out. It's hard to tell from the photo, but tried to match with those gold flakes on all over the LF's papers.

Happy Spring, Happy Easter! #2

Aloha~

Cherry blossoms are blooming everywhere, and Easter is coming up! This is another Spring/Easter card I made. This Cherry Blossoms are made from Sunny Studio's stamps and dies. I used little critter stamps, sentiment and background papers from Lawn Fawn. Little pearls are from Honey Bee Stamps. Golden eggs are Simon Says stamps. The recipient used to live on ' "Fox"field lane' and I often use "fox" on the cards I make for her. 🦊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Hope all flowers and trees are blooming in your area, too! Love, Eve

Happy Spring, Happy Easter! #1

Aloha~

This is my first Spring/Easter card. The recipient lives right outside of D.C., and had been working in D.C. for some decades. So we chat about Cherry Blossoms every spring. This year, I just wanted to make a card for Easter and spring together since Easter is in April. I decided to make a bit "untraditional Easter" card with Cherry Blossoms. 🌸🌸

The dies are from Spellbinders. The sentiment is Lawn Fawn's. The bunnies are Impression Obsession's.

Inside, the sentiment is Lawn Fawn's, from the same stamp set. The bunnies are also Lawn Fawn's.

I love looking at Cherry Blossoms... makes me feel a bit relaxed and at peace.

Hope y'all are having a nice weekend.. I've read that some parts of US had some snow! Stay safe! Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day! #2

Aloha~

Here is my 2nd St. Patty's day card (for my godmother). I used the same Waffle Flower's Paw dies for this one, but in orange cat color, remembering her first kitty from over 40 years ago. But orange kitties have been my fav., too. ever since I was a kid. And it was rather fun to make this card cuz of it!

The sentiment & the background paper are from Lawn Fawn and the 4 leaf clover is from Concord & 9th, watercoloring.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Hope you are having a nice Sunday, despite of 1 hour less sleep in US this morning... Love, Eve

Happy St. Patrick's Day! #1

Aloha~

I recently purchased this paw dies from Waffle Flower, and the recipient has 2 kitties, so I thought I would use these dies, and in her kitties' colors. I even asked her before die cutting papers what colors their paws were. lol

The 4 leaf clover is from Lawn Fawn. I used the glitter paper underneath of the light green "marbled?" background paper from Lawn Fawn. I used Waffle Flower background die to cut the panel so that you can see the glitter through the panel, the same glitter paper I used for the 4 leaf clover the paws hold.

It's been a stressful time and uncertainty in the world, and this recipient told me that my Valentine's day card made her smile last month, so I decided to send this "lucky" card to make  her feel a little better this month, too.

Spring is just around the corner. It seems like severe weather are here to stay, though. ... stay safe.

Happy Birthday ~ for Coffee/Tea card swap group

Aloha~

This is the first time I use these tea pots die set with coloring stencil from The Greetery. The tea cup is from Crafter's Companion, from many years ago. I hardly used it before, like once somewhere. .... I used the mini slim envelope edge die from Taylored Expressions, trimmed to make it into a kind of table cloth. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. Cute background paper is from TPC Studio which I kept for a very, very long time. lol Oh I stamped "steam" from the tea cup, which is from one of Lawn Fawn's stamp set.

I stamped the sentiment inside from Pink and Main.

Hope the recipient will like it!

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Spring is just around the corner for many! Take care. Love, Eve

Coffee card ~ February, 2025

Aloha,

This is for the Coffee themed card swap. I can make Tea themed and Hot Cocoa themed cards for this group. Since I've been hearing the frigid temperature across US mainland, I decided to make a Hot Cocoa card.

I use mug cup dies from The Greetery. Those smiley faces are from one of Lawn Fawn's stamp set. I'm not sure whether any of you are Lawn Fawn's fans but I am, ever since they opened the business. And they do make these cute face expression stamps in many of their stamp sets, so I chose the right size ones for these mug cups. On the lower part of these mug cups, I found this pink gingham washi tapes in my washi tapes stash and used it. The color matched perfectly! The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn. I attached it with 3D foam tape, to be able to attach the pink ribbon underneath of the sentiment. I used Newton's Nook Designs' stencils for the background.

Inside, I used 2 sentiment stamps from My Favorite Things.

Unfortunately we couldn't really enjoy cooler weather this "winter" here in Honolulu. First time, not being able to wear long sleeves to go to sleep at night...even the lowest temperature this week became above 70F...we are still in February...opposite from US mainland...

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hear that flu is going around in US mainland. Keep warm, stay safe! Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day! #7

Aloha, it's me again! This is the last Valentine's day card I made this year.

I made this for my BFF. I used Lawn Fawn's hearts dies, both background papers and the twine. I used my newest addition of Vertical sentiment stamps from Pretty Pink Posh. I love this vertical sentiments and words set! I first bought Halloween one from the company, and loved it, so I decided to purchase this set, for something different. I also heat embossed in white EP.

Inside, I had these cut outs from, I think, Doodlebugs but probably I got them in a kit from SSS, IF I'm not mistaken. I had these and hadn't used them, so time to use them!! You understand how I felt, finding things from our old stash!πŸ˜„ I facetime with her often, so not much to write on the cards, not like in our 80s and 90s. Just wrote her name and my name 😊

Well, Mahalo for visiting my blog today, with 3 cards!

I still hear about the severe weather some parts of US mainland (if you are in 48 states). Please stay safe and stay warm! Next card should be a birthday card which I almost finished!

Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day #6

Aloha~

I mailed this card to my godmother, cuz she missed living in woods area, with the name starting "Fox...", where she lived for over 15 years.

This is my newest die from Pretty Pink Posh. I used Sizzix/TH embossing folder for the woods background, on the card base. The sentiment is from Lawn Fawn, and heat embossed. I used small heart dies from Taylored Expressions. The heart die with xoxo is from Lawn fawn. I used copic for the little cheeks πŸ’•

Inside, I stamped the sentiments from Lawn Fawn's stamp set. So, these stamp set comes with many wording stamps, and I just used those words to make a sentiment. I love the fonts and the versatility of the stamp set.

Hope y'all had a sweet Valentine's day! I have one more Valentine's day card to post a little later today. Thanks for stopping by my blog today! Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day #5 (still continues...)

So, is there anything, like Happy BELATED Valentine's day...?! πŸ˜†
I ended up super busy yesterday and didn't have time to upload more Valentine's day cards although they were sent out/given already yesterday, on time! Anyways, Hope you all had a "Sweet" Valentine's day yesterday. πŸ’–

Here is my #5 card.
I used Lawn Fawn's mail box dies from several years ago for the focal point. I started out from there. I used a background paper from my stash of papers, cut out the big heart and attached to the Lawn Fawn's paper after using Concord & 9th clouds die. The winter bird stamp is Lawn Fawn and the sentiment is from Altenew, heat embossed in white EP.

Inside, I used another winter bird stamp from the same stamp set of Lawn Fawn, and LF's sentiment stamp.

I have two more Valentine's day cards to share today.

Mahalo for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day #3

Aloha,

This is the Valentine's day card #3! I used this super cute bear die set in December for "coffee themed card swap" but this time, I let him hold a heart instead of hot cocoa.

I used Sizzix/TH rose embossing folder for the background. Since it's a regular embossing folder, I could place the thin gold frame over it. The words are an old die from Cuttlebug. I attached heart embellishments to finish it off. I used Lawn Fawn simple Happy Valentine's Day sentiment inside.

I've been hearing the severe weather in US mainland. Hope you can stay inside, to make some cards! Stay safe, stay warm! Love, Eve

Happy Valentine's Day #2

Aloha~

I had so much fun, making these chocolate dipped strawberries! Those and LOVE cookies are from The Greetery. I love these dies! Shimmery golden ribbon is from Papertrey ink. I've seen similar designs with chocolates in a box, and thought, hmmm. How about those strawberries, in a box, instead!

Inside, a simple 'Valentine's day greeting" from Lawn Fawn.

Hope you are having a nice weekend! Finally the weather got better, and cool, which is nice for a change! Love, Eve

Coffee card for November swap

Aloha~

Most of the things used here are from Lawn Fawn, except the background paper which is from Newton's Nook Designs. It's pretty much explanatory.

Hope you had a great weekend! It's already "busy" everywhere I go. How is it in your area?

If I don't "see" you here before Thanksgiving on this coming Thursday, have a blessed Thanksgiving day (if you are in US ).

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Thanksgiving!

Aloha~

Sorry to hear that some of you got lots of snow yesterday... I started to feel a bit of cold breeze in the air here, too. Definitely winter is coming....

This card is for my BFF.

Again, I used several different company's products; scarecrow image is from Lawn Fawn. I'd been looking for "my favorite kind" of scarecrow and I found this one a couple of months ago from Lawn Fawn's new release. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers. Pumpkin dies are from Spellbinders. Puffy clouds are stickers from Concord and 9th, the banner die is from Lawn Fawn, hill and stitched rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things, and layering paper is from Sunny Studio.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Less than a week to Thanksgiving. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Eve

Happy Halloween! #3/Coffee card swap

Aloha~

This is my last Halloween card this year. I really wanted to make a shaker card, because I've been purchasing and "hoarding" Halloween shaker bits and wanted to use some of them.

I decided to make two themed combined card; Halloween and Coffee. I had to choose the sentiment first (Trinity Stamps) and then, made a design afterwards.

I used Waffle Flowers' block die, but used two out of four windows to place shaker bits. The stamp I used in the block die cut out are Lawn Fawn, Pretty Pink Posh, and dies are from Simon Says Stamps and Poppy stamps. Shaker bits are from Pretty Pink Posh and Trinity Stamps. I just love the colors of tiny ghost bits from Trinity Stamps! So cute! I used Poppy Stamps ' cauldron die by the block die, and spider web die from Lawn Fawn. I die cut this cauldron from the shiny black package of my skin care product, although it shows as if it's rather "blended" on the top but I didn't. For some reason, the photo doesn't show the total shiny black color. I kinda liked this photo instead of the actual color of the cauldron, though. lol

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Love, Eve

Happy Halloween #1

Aloha~

This card will go to my godmother. Since she will travel late October, I need to mail this soon.

This is my 2nd "cross stitch" design on the card. As you can see, I'm addicted. LOL I used my new Halloween vertical sentiment stamps from Pretty Pink Posh, for something different. All little cut outs are from Lawn Fawn's stamp set. The background is from Lawn Fawn's die. The bottom hill and grass die cuts are from HoneyBee Stamps. Since it's at night, I cut "grass" in dark brown.

Inside, I used new Washi tapes; one from Lawn Fawn and another one from Japanese "Dollar store", nearby (in Honolulu). The sentiment stamp is from Lawn Fawn.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. If you were in the path of Helene, I hope you'll have a speedy recovery. Some of you remember that I went through Super Typhoon in the early 2000s, the eye literally passed right above me! Please take care. Thinking of y'all. Love, Eve
