Hello, friends, today, I would like to share two "thank you" cards I made.
I've been wanted to use these two Hero Arts stamps (flower~Solid/non Solid) I ordered last Christmas, but due to my "life's complication" (as always.), I finally got these in my hand, and could stamp! Since it's "fall" in US mainland, I used "early fall colors" (to me :)) . I used two different colors of pearl pens for the center of the flowers. This is going to my Godmother's sister in Richmond, VA who let me stay at her house for 4 nights, in very short notice (long story). The last time I stayed in Richmond is 1986! Time surely flew...and flying by even faster every single day!
For this, I used current trend, "Bokeh" technique. You can check it here. This is fun stamping! I used three different colors of die ink. I used gel/shimmer pen to randomly draw "sparkles". I'm also sending this to my Godmother's son who took me to the dinner one night in Richmond. I met him when he was 7 years old. Now he is ...41? I saw him at his sister's wedding some years ago but didn't have enough time for chatting. Before that, I saw him when he was in middle school... like 13 years old?. ... We did catch up the past, this time tho :)
Hope you are having a nice evening. Thank you for stopping by. :)

Fancy Tilda in Black, Red & Pink!

That's the the challenge at Manolia-licious challenge blog, and this is my card. Black & Red is MY colors (lol!), not Tilda's in my mind, and it was hard to choose the image for this colors challenge from a very limited numbers of Maggie's images I own... Well, Tilda is invited to Edwin's Piano concert, and she dressed up & waiting for him to play at the concert hall :-) I stamped music notes randomly in light pink & grey around the white piano. I used my new addition tool; Sakura's clear glaze pen for her pretty black shoes, her rose corsage, her black ribbon & belt, on the black keyboards and the wheel. I found this pen very useful. I would've used Glossy accent for those places but since this pen doesn't give too much dimention, other than GLAZE, I chose this pen for this card. Besides, it's a pen and easy to "glaze" in smaller places too. It's a bit hard to see them on the picture, though. I adhered glitters on her earrings & frills of her dress. I placed red gems on black corner punch which is a bit hard to see on the picture also. I put white stitch lines around the background paper, with Souffle white pen, to match with the white stitched black ribbon. The background paper is Bo Bunny's which Sue Kment sent to me. (luv it, Sue! :-))

House Mouse cards to my online friends

I made this "Gate fold card with a twist" (from stampTV), using my fav. House mouse for my online friend, Yara's birthday. You can see how it opens, in the second pic. I used the glitters on mice's birthday hats & candle flames to look Festive :-) I mixed the clear heat EP with glitter, for the sentiment, to heat emboss. The background paper is from my fav. stack of DCWV, "Sweets". I used the same paper inside of the card. I really like this stamp image :-) Another house mouse rak isn't actually a card but made a little bag to hold the Marshmallow lovers' hot chocolate mix, to send it to my another online friend, Mary anne. She remembered that i really like Marshmallows, and when this Stamp of the month (marshmallow design) came out, she just sent the image to me. How sweet of her! So, i decided to make a bag, with the colored image, sent it back to her, saying "thanks", with the hot chocolate mix in it! :-) I'm uploading these cuz i just read that they received these safely :-)

The Play Date Cafe Challenge PDCC38

I always luv the colors the play date cafe challenge ask for. Of course, it doesn't mean that i come up with a great idea, using those colors, every week. Sometimes, it frustrates me cuz i can't come up with the design, even i think those color combination are Beautiful! Anyways, here is my card. I luv Purple flowers, all kinds :-)

"Things with Wings" Challenge

After I saw “Things with Wings” in Simon Says Challenge, I thought….hmmm…I have some butterfly punches, I should make a card!… and this is what I came up with. Recently I’m really into Color Combination. The stamp is from Inkadinkado, small butterfly punch is from Fiskars, and the little flower punch is from Marvy Uchida. Since I colored the THANK YOU flower stamp in Blending Blox (has some gradation in the color), I used the same inkpad to ink the white Card stock first, and punched butterflies out. It’s rather hard to tell in the pic. but those butterflies are not in ONE color, so it would match the stamped Thank You Flower image. I put the large pearl on the letter “O”, in “YOU” on the stamped image. Oh, I also cut around some petals (center still attached), using X-Acto knife, to give a bit of dimension. I lifted up those petals (like one in every three petals or so.) It worked better, having similar orange colored layering card stock underneath so the similar color peeks under the petals! I also bent all the wings of butterflies to give a bit of dimension, to match the stamped THANK YOU Flower image. I used stickles to give shiny look in the center of punched flowers in the end.
