Happy Thanksgiving!

Aloha~

Sorry to hear that some of you got lots of snow yesterday... I started to feel a bit of cold breeze in the air here, too. Definitely winter is coming....

This card is for my BFF.

Again, I used several different company's products; scarecrow image is from Lawn Fawn. I'd been looking for "my favorite kind" of scarecrow and I found this one a couple of months ago from Lawn Fawn's new release. The sentiment is from Waffle Flowers. Pumpkin dies are from Spellbinders. Puffy clouds are stickers from Concord and 9th, the banner die is from Lawn Fawn, hill and stitched rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things, and layering paper is from Sunny Studio.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. Less than a week to Thanksgiving. Have a blessed Thanksgiving! Hugs, Eve

Happy Thanksgiving! 2022

Aloha~

Ok, Thanksgiving day has come and gone. I've been quite busy, and, I forgot which website I used, to place "watermark" on my photos, and it took forever to find it! lol I've used other photo shop site for several years til they stopped, and I had to find another one. I did, but back in July and for the last couple of months, I didn't post anything, and I totally forgot the website! πŸ˜“Anyways, now, I found it, and I can post my "watermarked" photos! So, hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving day!

I made two cards this year, using the same technique but used different papers and colors. This big die and other extra dies are all from Hero Arts, their monthly kit of May, 2022. I liked the "white" all around, and water colored a little.

Now, I will not forget the website of placing watermark.πŸ˜…

Hope you are having a nice weekend, probably, everyone is busy! Nearby mall was packed today! Thanks for visiting my blog today! Hugs, Eve

Coffee card swap for November, 2019

I love these two designer's papers, and that's where I started.

I placed a foam panel behind the leave's paper, die cut the circle from the paper and the foam to give a bit of interest. I love to make a card with a hint of the occasions of the month, even the theme of the card isn't that occasion 😊

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Thanksgiving! #3

Thanksgiving day is almost here, in US. People who could take a long week off might've arrived at their families and friends this weekend...

This is my #3 & the last Thanksgiving card this year. I received this Indian girl stamp from my stamping friend some time ago, and wanted to use it, and send the finished card to her 😊

I used Lawn Fawn's birch tree dies, and inlaid onto the front panel. All leaves I used on this card were cut by Lawn Fawn's STITCHED leaf dies. The sentiment is also Lawn Fawn, on the gold vellum, to be able to see birch trees behind.

I'm submitting this to Simon says Stamp Monday challege for the theme, "It's a stitch up". I love these stitched leaf dies. Those stitched lines give a bit of life on the paper.

Hope y'all are having a relaxing weekend, getting ready for Thanksgiving day!

Happy Thanksgiving #2

My 2nd Thanksgiving card this year. I used this SU! stamps which I never used til now... the box says 2000 release, so, I probably bought it around that time. It's a stamp set and comes in a plastic container. The container was yellowed after 17 years of the release, but the wood mounted red rubber stamps are intact! These are the kind of stamps I just love to "decorate" my craft space with. 😊

Water coloring has been a trend for a while, and like this, background brush strokes. I combined old with the new, and this is rather clean card I made for my non stamping friend. All leaves are heat embossed in gold over the background coloring. Since these leaves are beautiful as the way they are, I wanted to show the stamped images as much as possible, and came up with the idea of using vellum for the sentiment, and used the short sentiment, too, to not distract the whole image. That's also the reason I used thin colorless twine on the bottom. Same reason for only two sequins. I used a MFT's stitched banner die, to give just a little bit of interest. I used "Rose Gold" embossing powder for the sentiment. It's kind of the thing at the moment, and several stamp companies released this beautiful color for EP.

I'm submitting this to SimonSaysStamp Monday~Thanks/Thanksgiving challenge

Have a nice day! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.

Happy Thanksgiving! #1

Update : This card was shown on Lawn Fawn's Fawny Flickr Friday blog. 😊

Finally I had a chance to use this Lawn Fawn's new set, which I bought back in August when they released many amazing stamps and dies. I hadn't had new stamps for Thanksgiving for some years, and this was the perfect for my card I envisioned! And the set was meant to make this "feast table", which I miss, every Thanksgiving with my godmother and her family in VA. Beautiful sky and so many colorful leaves in the scene of Thanksgiving day. This is def. my Thanksgiving day with them, in Virginia! And my most fav. holiday of all.😊

I fussy cut all the stamped images, colored them all. The most tiring process was the leaf! I used one of Lawn Fawn stand alone leaves die set from a couple of years ago, the smallest leaf. I ran through cuttlebug 36 times (to get 36 leaves!) from different "pearlized" card stock I "hoarded" for several years (from Joann or Michaels...can't remember). 6 different colors. The hardest (time consuming) was to place them in the perfect position. The tree stump ("feast table"), mushrooms "chairs", and animals are attached with foam tape, to give a bit of dimension, so leaves had to have foam as well but not all of them.

First, I placed them, took the picture on my cellphone, and started to build up. I used Xyron sticker maker, Ranger's multi medium matte finish liquid adhesive and foam tape, depending on where to place them. In the middle of the process, I changed some positions of leaves. I'm content with how it turned out. The perfect image of my Thanksgiving Day in VA 😊 πŸ‚ πŸπŸƒπŸ‚πŸπŸƒ
The sentiment is the new die from Lawn Fawn, too. I made it into a banner, making it looks like tying to the trees 😊 Of course, I had to have a cardinal in this scene. I miss seeing the cardinals, too...

I'm submitting Simon Says stamp/Monday challenge. Also uploading it in Lawn Fawn's Flickr Friday.

Hope y'all are having a nice week!

Happy Thanksgiving

I made some Thanksgiving cards and a "fall" card, using Lawn Fawn stamps and stitched leaf dies.

Except the tree and tiny maple leaves, all images are Lawn Fawn's new stamp sets. I colored them all with watercolor pencils.

I made this one, for a Male friend (pictures show the front and inside) Wanted to make it rather simple cuz it's for a guy but he is the one who uses smiley emoticons, I used those little faces on a couple of apples and a couple of pies. I used watercolor pencils, too, to color.

This card is a little different. (the pictures show the front and inside) The recipient is in Japan, and they don't have Thanksgiving day, but the country changes its colors to "the fall" with so many trees and leaves (esp. maple leaves), I made this card, using Lawn Fawn's "stitched leaves dies". I enjoy to see beautifully "colored" maple leaves in the fall. In a little circle, on the left corner, I wrote "fall" in Japanese.

The last card is very similar to the first card, but colored them with Prisma colored pencils. I also ran out of the background paper, I used different one, and it was rather simple, I adhered some maple leaves in different sizes.

I love making fall cards! as long as time allows... I have so much design in my head when it comes to the fall/Thanksgiving cards.. but now, I have to start making Christmas cards before too late.

I'm submitting a card to Lawnscaping Challenges.

Hope you'll all have a happy Thanksgiving and travel safe :)

2 Thanksgiving cards

hello~ finally I made Thanksgiving cards. When I do have time, I always make these cards for two people, very dear in my life, cuz I'm thankful for them. :)
This is to my godmother in VA. I could've put shimmer, etc. but to me, "thanksgiving" makes me to think "primitive" than "sparkling", so I used the burlap and twine. It's hard to tell from the picture but all images are attached with pop up glue dots, so it has more depth than it shows on the picture, incld. the paper strip of pumpkins on the bottom.

This is for my best friend, also in VA. I cut stumps on the designer paper, distressed them, and glued them. Pop up glue dots were used for all other elements on this card.

Pictures aren't great today... maybe cuz it's already in the afternoon... usually I take a picture of the card in the morning. ...

Hope you all are having a great weekend :) Me? I'm heart broken cuz my team has just lost the game in OT, very close game to the end... I watch football & ice hockey INTENSELY, and I get tired after the game, esp. when we lose... haha....

Now FINALLY time for making Christmas cards! :) Eve

Happy Thanksgiving!! from House Mouse :-)

Happy Thanksgiving!! I made this card for my House Mouse friend, Mary Ann. She sent this image to me! :-) So, i made a Shaker card with it, and mailed it back to her! :-) You can see those leaves are the ones which is in the shaker box. The leaves move. I also punched out those leaves on the other side of the inside of the card and have drawn the veins with the copper gel pen. I used cuttlebug embossing folder and have drawn some veins there too. The cornucopia is an old Darci's stamp. Hope you'll all have a great thanksgiving!!

Thanksgiving Dinner Table :-)

I made this card for my new local friend, Linda. This is another old stamp from Inky Antics. I bought it, many years ago, but had never inked it before! I used glossy accent for apples & on the pilgrim's hat, where it is shinny. I used copper gel pen here and there, to give some accent, like on leaves, Stitches of the girls headband, etc. The image of the corns is Inkadinkado. I luv the leaf punch! I used shimmery cs & draw some veins, attached them with 3d glue dots, and the main image is also raised with 3d glue dots, like you can see it in the 2nd pic.

Tilda says, "Happy Thanksgiving!"

I luv this image! I made this Easel card to my best friend from College, Laura. I colored Tilda with watercolor pencils. Little glitter on laces of Tilda's clothe & copper gel pen for veins of leaves. The little cornocopia is an old stamp from Darci's. I used many pop up dots glue to give dimentions, all over the card :-)

Simon Says... Give Thanks!

Stamped images are all heat embossed. It doesn't show well on this pic....Except the sentiment, the stamps are from Inkadinkado. The top layer of images are attached by dimentional glue, to attach the rust color background CS, and that is atttached by dimmentional glue to the base CS, as you can see it on the 2nd pic. Ribbon has 3 loops :-) The Tim Holtz leaf embellishment was too dark so i inked it & heat embossed with clear embossing powder. The tag was distressed around the edge.
